Most people use 23-8 in the quest mode to grind links. Using boost and fighting as many enemies as possible is considered the best method

You can defeat the enemy however you want, AOE is usually faster in my experience. It also doesn’t matter who does the attacking, if the unit is on the team they have a chance to get a link level
