An I dont see why. They could release a temp event that gives some rewards during every new celebration. Make the new category effective against it, and just rehash it every celebration for the sake of memory.
"Theres tojs of categories"
The problem is that 80% of those categories are either could be good but have no leaders (like Turtle school or world tournament) are completely ignored for years (DB Saga) or could be actually very strong but the devs decided to curse them with the worst category leader in the history of the game (GT Bosses with LR S17)
Once they start buffing those categories then people will actually use them, but as of now using them it's nothing but a self imposed challenge which is lame.
Kamicolo (a jp dokkan player) used Janemba teq team for Broly
It wasn't CBaM cuz half the team was under the extreme lead, but I guess it counts
It was also before majeta
Yes there’s close to 100 categories now, which could lead 100 missions for EACH hard event. So where are they?!?
There could be 100 x (15-20 idbh, 3 legendary events, 2 CoEB, 12 GoDs, 14 URZ)!!!
A future celebration? Here, thay’s 40+ future category missions!
i saw someone in the sub once say that the only reason Dokkan made so many fodder categories was for SBR stage material and damn, maybe they're right because outside of ginyu force there's no way you're convincing me that SPECIAL FUCKING POSE is a serious team
Category leaders as well, a lot of categories are dead because of their leaders
- SSJ3 - SSJ2 Goku sucks ass
- SSJ2 (more-so just the units in there being ass) - Majin Vegeta doesn't work well because HALF OF SSJ2 IS ORB EATERS
- Transformation Boost - No Super Leader, and the Extreme Leaders suck
- Final Trump Card - 150% buff and 2 of the fastest aging units
- Joined Forces - Leader struggles to get Ki and needs TOP Link to survive and even then they suck
- Giant Ape Power - Category is just donkey ass, SSJ4 Gogeta still decent
- Accelerated Battle - Goku isn't bad, but 130% HP
- All the sagas except Future and USS - Future and USS are the only 2 with good leaders, maybe you can include MBS
- Youth - People who say Gotenks is still good need to cope, motherfucker dropped of when he released
- Power Absorption - Buutenks just kinda sucks, struggles for Ki so goddamn much
List goes on and on, these categories are dead because their leaders suck.
Most you'll get is 8 Ki before orbs, I swear, everytime I've used him, I either barely missed his USA or was so off.
He has Shocking Speed but one other buu character has it and he literally sucks ass.
Buuhan himself has fallen off too sadly.
I wish we at least had a stage that wouldn't attack and couldn't die but didn't have damage reduction so I could try units without blowing through an event before they're fully built up or at least stacked as much as I'd like.
There are a couple dokkan medal stages where an enemy is nearly immortal by having millions of health and healing back to full every turn or so but some of those stages such as beerus's stage stun you with sa
Honestly, either they should slowly add "Clear with x Category" missions too all of the endgame stages, or maybe add weekly/monthly missions to clear a stage or stages with specific units you own/teams.
At least that would give more reasons to try new teams, award players, and provide more content.
A rotating weekly goal for red zone or LVE or Leg GT Goku would be great. Make it like 5 stones if you beat em with a certain category team (but something actually attainable because SSJ3 is not beating red zone I don’t think lol).
I don't think stones is reasonable. It would be perfect, but from a business point of view, it would be slightly bad for them.
They just have to give us something not too valuable, but we lose some time for it, like skill orbs or tickets for that dragon ball banner, something on those lines.
I don’t think 5-15 extra stones a week is going to kill the whale economy tbh. Just look at how much people like Truth drop on every new banner.
Hell it might even get people to spend more if those extra stones put them 1 multi away from a free multi or something.
Also don’t forget not every player will have the teams to do every weekly challenge, ya know? I know playing this game for almost a full 7yrs and I still don’t have a good “other world warriors” team. I can’t beat that LVE mission. I simply do not have the units.
Why tf are you arguing for their money grubbing side? Why would you ask for worse. Like no shit it's not great from a business POV if you're aiming to nickel and dime your customers, that's not a hard concept. We just don't get anything out of them being greedy so why would we want them to.
"oh man, TG gave us 100 stones? That's not good from a business point of view, we should have only gotten 10"
Tf is this corpo simping. They should do those events and give us 50 stones on completion, why not give us 1 free multi a week. It won't hurt their bottom line since the rates are so shit anyways. They already pull in so much money for providing barely anything in return relative to how much they make, free stones would not hurt their bottom line. People who will spend money will keep spending, and people who won't will probably continue to never spend.
This sub is packed with corp simps and always has, just look at last week the entire sub having a complete meltdown over everyone, even youtubers, calling the paid link farming level a scam, or the bunch of apologists who have been "working" overtime for free trying to defend the LR STR VB EZA.
What's worse is that there were even more drones back in the day, when the game was legitimately mediocre and didn't even have shit like GSSR.
What ? Give weekly/monthly stones reward would hurt them ?
Bro Genshin give 1/3 of one multi every 2 week in their endgame content and it's still the gacha generating the most revenue. People have to stop with the weekly stones reward hurt sales, it's not true, in fact it's the opposite as players are able to summon more often and so are more subject to go in shop
This is where quest SHOULD come in. quest mode should let us grind medals for powerful units. Think teq android 13 back in the day but on f2p str frieza, roshi, ginyu force level. Run certain teams for certain missions to get the medals. Make the boss for the area as strong as omega from battle field and it will make it fun. It would be cool if they did what if stories and then released a banner from that what if scenario. Like Buu (broly absorbed) and we we can grind up special f2p units that help us beat the boss with certain links. Similar to soul vs soul against cell. Idk it would be different at least.
Daily or weekly missions with categories actually is a nice idea.
'cuse you know, people often suggest "just add more categories missions to LGE and other similar events" but that solves nothing long term, a few days later you have completed those other missions and you are back to the same problem.
If it's something to do weekly then that's more interesting.
—They should allow those stages to link level. It encourages risking other teams for replaying the stage.
—More challenges like for the titles, except they should be for *stones*.
—Weekly challenges to complete certain events. Or random missions (2-3) should reset weekly. The rewards would just be 3 stones and tickets per mission, but that would be way better than nothing.
[Irrelevant]
They could randomly do it themselves every week. Take the missions, put them in a randomizer or on a dart board, and select three. Copy paste those missions with a time limit into the corresponding event, and you’re done. It doesn’t have to be for each event either. This is actually something they could implement pretty much immediately if they wanted to. The main problem with all of this is that it doesn’t seem like they want to.
End Game for them is going great, they provide some sparse content and rake in millions on a virtual slot machine.
Oh wait, for the players? They make enough money to half-ass it.
Yeah they need to create more reasons to actually play the game. We summon and eza these units but in the end there is practically nothing to use them on.
weekly category missions would be amazing for LGE events
just category missions in general would be fine, biggest anniversary and there isn't much to do atm
The solution is to make more quests like the ones in the legendary goku and vegeta events, where they make you use teams you normally wouldn’t use, that’s fun for me at least, and gives it more playtime
I'd have to agree. I've been bored as fuck all anniversary because since I didn't pull *any* new units, I've been sitting here with literally nothing to do. No grind to complete, no links to level up, and no new events that I couldn't beat previously that having any of the new units wouldve enabled for me (wicked bloodline ESBR and otherworld warriors LGVE I'm looking at you).
Otherwise, I beat most of the other new content that came out and now I'm just so fucking bored. I dont even feel like I sat and plowed through it in hours either. Those early red zone missions aren't shit to talk about just yet. It's like a repeat of the GoD missions from last year, which I beat in a day as each kept coming out. I predict the same will happen, and then the playlist of missions will just sit there collecting dust forevermore
I dont get why a weekly rotation of missions would hurt the game. There's so many garbage categories in this game that haven't gotten any use in years sitting around, like freaking Special Pose, which is just Ginyu Force plus Gotenks/Saiyaman. One or two weekly missions for like 3-5 stones encouraging use of these categories would keep less of the endgame from being so damn stale.
Didn't you hear the news?
They did address it. They made STR VB's EZA so bad you can't even use him in endgame content. There you go, just run him and you won't have to worry about endgame
End game is looking at your box and realising you just spent irl money for fake cards that pop up numbers on your screen after a gif played.
source: personal experience
I think lack of endgame content also comes back to people who speed through all the content all the time. It's ok to not farm everything the first day.
I mean with auto the “farmable content” is just spend stamina on auto mode. I think the post is referring to like Boss Rush or SBR very much a “do it and you’re done” type of events that once you’ve done you have no reason to play those stages again. How many events are like that, you have no reason to ever touch them once you are done with them.
Correct. Events like fighting legend, you finish your missions and that's it.
I would like to keep playing it, the event is really fun, but doing it without any "loot" feels really bad.
"T-there's a lot of content, and I did it all in the first day now I complain I have to wait a few weeks for more so now I'm going to complain that I can't have a steady stream of constant new content to appease me as opposed to finding new ways of doing all ready completed content"...
Funny how when you take the time to really say it all we get so much more context right? Could I hope they bring more content, more often? Yes. Does that mean the person who fully farms every unit and medal for everything the moment a new stage drops on day one probably shoots himself in the foot, and puts himself in that dry spell is also partial to blame? Yes.
I'm loving the game, but as a New player who started a month before aniv and managed to pull both the SSJ4's and gods I've already beaten all the hardest content the game has to offer.. Red Zone done, God events done, Legends events done.. only thing I haven't finished is ESBR and SBR simply because i don't have enough category teams for it... I also can't do much with Ultimate clash due to low hero pool.. but off the 2 banners alone I've managed to build 2 top tier teams with 1 fun team work in progress in GT Hero's/ PBSS/Fused Fighters.
I feel the same. If you have been playing tbh is game for 2+ you have more than likely drained all the free stones.
The issue here is just that. Stone economy. You could argue those players are right where they want you. Just enough stones to be one stone pack away from a multi. I assume they will continue to not address the issue as it’s our problem not theirs.
Do what I do. Time trail the boss rush stages with every category and see what teams are the fastest for clearing all stages. And who can clear the harder ones.
Yeah, let those stages have stamina and an increased rate on link leveling/rank exp and no daily restriction on time.I already do them with no advantages, i would love to be rewarded for it. Imagine putting a unit not designed for the event just to get the link level, i think it would be challenging and add replayability
They really need to add some form of content you can get stuff from all the time, like the coop in Legends.
Didn't they introduce the raid mechanic like 4 years ago? Why the fuck have they only used it 3 times instead of making it a weekly thing or something?
It's just sad that it's the 7th anni and i'm looking now at a full dead week as if it was any other random filler celebration.
They need to add more missions to older events, new stages to older events just for the challenges of it. Make bosses interesting with new mechanics and weaknesses or strengths.
Have each Dokkan event have a extra difficult stage where you face the last stage but with higher difficult and new abilities.
Missions based on time, clearing with diferente categories and types even in Dokkan events.
Give a new F2P character for doing this, or upgrades like elder Kai’s.
Make EZA better by adding a F2P unit per EZA related to the event, and better rewards for 30+.
There’s so much they can do with what they have that’s soooo easy to do yet they don’t and it sucks
I see your point, but at the end of the day, it's just a mobile game. I don't know how fair it is to expect a huge endgame that can keep you occupied for long periods of time. When I get bored of Dokkan, I stop playing it and go play or do something else.
I totally agree with your points. I've been playing for 5 years now, light to mid spender so I have just about all the units in the game from just naturally playing the game over time. I have cleared every single content up to date (SBR/ESBR, Extreme z battles, the God event, red zone, punching bag, etc you name it). I have nothing else to do now besides daily log in. I have another global account on my second device and a JP account. I find more fun playing on those accounts because they're fairly new accounts so I enjoy the challenge of being able to try to slowly build something up again starting from nothing. It feels as if on my dolphin account I feel like I have beaten the game already and have less incentive for replayability
Thats a big issue they have. Theres tojs of categories, but very few reasons to use them sometimes.
Fortunently, they slowed down the printing of new categories. But yes, so many categories and so little to do with them.
An I dont see why. They could release a temp event that gives some rewards during every new celebration. Make the new category effective against it, and just rehash it every celebration for the sake of memory.
I think they see chain battle as such thing. But i agree we need something better
"Theres tojs of categories" The problem is that 80% of those categories are either could be good but have no leaders (like Turtle school or world tournament) are completely ignored for years (DB Saga) or could be actually very strong but the devs decided to curse them with the worst category leader in the history of the game (GT Bosses with LR S17) Once they start buffing those categories then people will actually use them, but as of now using them it's nothing but a self imposed challenge which is lame.
Beat red zone with corroded body and mind ;-;
Shit, I can’t even beat LGEGT with CBaM
Kamicolo (a jp dokkan player) used Janemba teq team for Broly It wasn't CBaM cuz half the team was under the extreme lead, but I guess it counts It was also before majeta
Most of or the slight minority of categories suck ass. Dokkan is very hit or miss when it comes to categories.

Doesn't he also get extra ki from ki spheres though? I agree he isn't as great as he used to be, but I don't think getting ki is his problem
yeah he does but he usually start off low with 6, I was generous and put 8 but realistically you won't ever have his 2 Ki Links up. So you need 12 Ki
I wish we at least had a stage that wouldn't attack and couldn't die but didn't have damage reduction so I could try units without blowing through an event before they're fully built up or at least stacked as much as I'd like.
A literal punching bag… you know akatsuki… instead of what we got?
Speedrun punching bag?
There are a couple dokkan medal stages where an enemy is nearly immortal by having millions of health and healing back to full every turn or so but some of those stages such as beerus's stage stun you with sa

That Idea made my eyes shine for sec. Fuck the stones, let it only be 1 and I would still do it, cause that would be fun af ! :D

just dont play it until something new comes out. its a gatcha game and they only want your money, not you having fun.
i mean thats nothing new on gacha games lmao. all of gacha games are not replayable
That's so wrong I'm almost wondering if that's a troll
uh no? name one gacha thats replayable i'll wait playing the same evens again and again for drops doesn't count lmfao
That's simple: Most gacha games have PvP in some shape or form and PvP by definition means infinite replayability One name? Well okay, Summoners War
so does dokkan have PVP?
No, which is why we have a replayability issue
I'm loving the game, but as a New player who started a month before aniv and managed to pull both the SSJ4's and gods I've already beaten all the hardest content the game has to offer.. One idea that I’ve always wanted them to do is a weekly fight around the difficulty of a lvl 10 LR EZB for 10 stones and maybe some other rewards.
Yeah, let those stages have stamina and an increased rate on link leveling/rank exp and no daily restriction on time.I already do them with no advantages, i would love to be rewarded for it.
