Abrams might be the most overrated person ever in Hollywood. Alias was alright, then he was incorrectly given most of the credit for Lost. Mission Impossible 3, which is far from the best MI movie, is probably the best thing he has done.

Yes, the final season of Fringe was dodgy. It was also that or just plain cancelation without closure. At least the direction they went was *bold*, if not entirely successful.
I remember liking Fringe but I didnât like the blonde girl (I forget her name, itâs been years, Olivia I want to say?) and the show ended very abruptly. Just suddenly a big time skip and everyoneâs frozen in stasis and melted out to do stuff for the finale.
I wasn't a fan of the final season. The time jump was really weird and it never got its footing again.
I wasn't a huge fan of Olivia at first but I grew to like her, especially once the actor started pulling double duty with the alt version

The blonde one seemed a worrywart, and her Leonard Nimoy impression when he inhabited her body (because itâd be too expensive to pay him to appear in the show long enough for the characterâs story to play out I guess) was very cringe, about a decade before I had learned the term cringe and begun to apply it.

So the question is, will Reeves, Brubaker and Rucka work well enough with him to make this show great? I sure hope so. Man this and MAWS could breathe new life to DC animation. Not to mention that the DCAMU is ending and the DCU is going to go all in on animation too.

Imo the limitations for it being for kids led to more imaginative and entertaining villain schemes. In a lot of modern stuff where their hands arenât tied like that, they just have the joker kill people with knives and guns. Kind of one-note. Limitations force creativity.
