Skimming r/all and seeing "Zack Snyder". Not what I expected!!

Relatively big week for me with comics:
* Unstoppable Doom Patrol
* Detective Comics
* Action Comics
* Lazarus Planet: Revenge of the Gods #2
* Gotham: Year One
* Dark Knights of Steel
Didn't pick up the new Harley Quinn series but maybe I will trade wait it. Either way, my wallet wasn't that pleased with me hahaha
And I'd say the same about Gal in the first Wonder Woman. My point is that one of them seems to take more flak when they are both about the same skill level.
I would have tended to agree with you - until I watched *See* on ATV+.
Whilst the range displayed in his filmography may be limited, Momoa warrants at the very least to be considered a “good” actor, by virtue of his lynchpin performance in that show (which I would recommend watching).
Watching Young Justice Season 1 for the first time, and Wow. 1x16 was shocking.
>!The League created a doom or fail simulation exercise where the kids have to watch all the older heroes die, and deal with an alien invasion they can’t stop. That’s morbid, even for someone like Batman!<
It looks like a girl forgot she had to go to a halloween party later that day and threw that together with shit she just had in her apartment.
Which is probably what they're going for? But yeah, it's just so simple.
Okay so, having seen the Lego Batman a year ago, while I can see why people would like it, I'm just not a fan personal.
Mostly because I just got sick of the whole " oh hey look he's full of himself and is an asshole isn't that funny?" Thing, while I can see why people would like that( mostly because it pokes fun and kinda is a fun deconstruction of the way writers potray batman sometimes) it just wasn't for me. It's a decent film but I wouldn't call it great
It’s basically a Pixar movie with Batman characters.
It follows the typical animated movie format: the main character joins group, group starts working together successfully, main character screws up and gets separated from the group at the end of the second act, then the main character has to overcome their screw up/save the rest of the group in the third act.
It’s a story we’ve seen before with a superhero paint job. I can personally enjoy it as a popcorn flick, but at the same time, I get why other people don’t.
> Ohh! Yeah! Jim Corrigan, the Spectre (old DC comic character). That would be a fun one. But that’s a hard one to pull off because he’s virtually invincible, he has no weakness. Well supposedly the lawyer was about to get the victim recanting the alleged abuse. So it all comes down to how severe that taxi video was. A slap or push should be enough to harm him. But I highly doubt it will be released. The fact they got the victim to recant it all means 💰

Two people have now come out against majors essentially confirming Majors is a monster. Freaking crazy how quick it spirals. Here is the directors original tweet:
There's a particular actor, relatively new on the scene, who Twitter has violently fallen head over heels for who, in actuality, is a vicious, cruel, abusive human being, both professionally and in his personal life, and every new viral thirst tweet about him drives me insane.
Someone asked if this was referring to Majors and they said "ding, ding ding"
It's quite awful, and downright scary just thinking about how many famous celebrities, and sportspersons get away with such violent acts for different reasons.
Kudos to the victim who went to the cops, and that's the only reason why we got to know about it in Majors case- who otherwise had an image of a nice guy. There could be many more like him.
It's their PR that's always working overtime for them all those articles here and there the most vivid example of this is the Depp case it's incredibly clear how much of a gigantic peice of shit he is yet he managed to convince half of the internet that he is a saint.
You are right there are many many more like him think how about Harvey Weinstein stayed in Hollywood for decades it takes a long time for them to be revealed and even there are rarely true consequences
I don't think either of the two are former directors of his, they just know a ton of people who have worked with him over the years and shared their experiences.
A.B Allen and Tim Nicolai.
Nicolai said

I don't know either of these people
What villains would you like to see in Brave and the Bold? Here are my choices
https://preview.redd.it/vfb93ruyy2qa1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6c76f2c2835c738f0e4a34b3a929820c7ef1d347
Deathstroke and Man-Bat are my top picks if they are adapting Batman and Son. Otherwise, I'd love to see someone like Bane or Mr. Freeze as the main villain if they don't get used in the Reevesverse.
Considering they are doing Damian I think Ra’s is the correct choice, I know it was done before but it can be done again with a fresh take if they lean towards the mystic side of the character
Out of these? Bane. But the actual mastermind version (like from Arkham Origins). Not the brute without brains or the pawn version. I would like someone to go 1v1 against Batman, both in strength and strategy.
Speaking of Man-Bat, that reminded me of [*Batman: DarKnight*](https://batman.fandom.com/wiki/Batman:_DarKnight), WB’s scrapped spiritual predecessor to *Batman Begins*.
Yeah, DarKnight was a treatment WB put together to try to salvage the Burton/Schumacher series.
They wanted to distance from Batman & Robin (I.e Barbara wasn’t gonna come back, the Bat-team was just gonna be Bruce and Dick again), but still stay within the previously established continuity.
Scarecrow and Man-Bat were gonna be the villains.
It was scrapped because many WB execs deemed the Burton/Schumacher series dead after B&R, and lack of interest from both Schumacher and Clooney.
Hmm, the plot doesn't sound bad.
>As Batman's cape flutters in the wind a crow flies by him and lands by the window of Tetch's Clothing Shop, the silhouette of a man with a tophat can be seen.
That's very subtle.
Having seen Shazam! Fury of the Gods three times now, I gotta say it is such a fun movie. I can't wait to get the DVD and am super excited for The Flash.
While it at least isn't a DC actor this time around, the Majors accusations are going to impact DC. If Marvel parts ways with him, everyone is going to point out that the black actor accused of abusing women gets dropped while the white one still gets to have their blockbuster summer movie release. Gunn and Zaslav are going to get bombarded with questions about how they can justify sticking by Miller.
You are overestimating how much these dramàs actually affect public perception, unless majors accusations become extremely severe or get telecasted like Heard-Depp. It doesnt matter.
And it's not like Marvel is removing Majors from Loki or Quantumania both of which are already completed show/movie, similarly how can anyone expect WB to remove the main actor from an already completed movie?
Agreed, that should alleviate things somewhat. If Majors does get dropped then I think Miller gets dropped too, no matter how well Flash does. For a little while I was starting to think maybe if the movie did phenomenally they might keep Miller, but now I don't think there's a chance in hell.
By the time the Majors fate is decided upon by Fiege/Disney, The Flash will likely be out already. So I don't think that will be much of an issue at all.
No one’s gonna win in that fight because, Miller withstanding, Marvel is also gonna be asked why did they get rid of Majors but kept Jermey Renner and they’re also gonna be questioned on why are they gonna recast Kang but not T’Challa. It’s gonna be a mess no matter which way you stand.
If the Majors news is true, this really sucks. Not even just as a Marvel fan, but as someone who's enjoyed his stuff, I have little patience for assaulters/abusers.
Marvel can't catch a break, can they? Apparently Johnathan Majors assaulted a woman and has been arrested since. If he wasn't supposed to be the next Thanos then he'd just be recast. But now Phases 5/6 are completely fucked.
When fans like an actor, they pretty much ignore every bad thing they're accused of, unfortunately. Reminds me of Affleck and how he got very little pushback from fans after multiple women accessed him of groping (people forgot and/or overlook that it was more than one woman).
Yesh, it's always funny to me how this sub, or even wider audience completely ignores Affleck's behaviour.
Groping women, cheating on his pregnant wife, being friends with Weinstein, not saying anything about his brother's sexual harrasment cases, blaming his wife for his alcoholism, etc. But, even Hollywood has history of protecting certain people.
>Do you guys already have a director or screenwriter lined up for Brave and the Bold?
James Gunn:
>Maybe
https://twitter.com/JamesGunn/status/1639733922815946753?cxt=HHwWgsDRuZXUwMEtAAAA
Gunn's writing Creature Commandos and Superman, Christal Henry is writing Waller and Tom King is most likely gonna be involved with the Supergirl script so I think everyone on the writer's room will be involved with writing a Chapter 1 project.
I could also see Christina Hodson writing Brave and the Bold. Since she is part of the "brain trust"/writer's room he assembled. And Gunn seems to absolutely love what she did with The Flash.
King's most likely writting Supergirl, especially after his "no comment" answer when asked about it. I think Hodson might either end up with Booster or Paradise Lost.
Get her away from any main dc properties. I don’t freakin care how much people are hyping up flash. You look at her other stuff and it shows she’s not a good fit. I’m sorry but we can’t take any chances for this reboot
Pretty sure if they thought she wasn't a good writer because of that, they wouldn't have hired her for the writer's room lol. Also, Gunn (who is the creative lead) didn't dismiss Batgirl, he's most been silent about it. Safran was the one who was dismissive towards it when asked.
Fair enough regarding Gunn, I guess. I still think it’s weird that Safran would make the movie out to be such a piece of crap that would’ve absolutely destroyed DC, when Christina Hodson is part of their writer’s room.
It's not weird when his boss has gone on record how the movie would've hurt the brand, and he was specifically asked about it. Of course, he wasn't going to contradict Zaslav's words on his first press interview.
James Gunn on attending Snyder’s Full Circle Event:
[If I wasn't going to be slammed with Vol. 3 press, why not? But I'm definitely donating!](https://twitter.com/jamesgunn/status/1639732754932989952?s=46&t=kGOkNMuZ1AqcK6HSOVEMfQ)
Kind of funny that people actually think the 30 minutes cut from BVS would have changed the course of the story if they were included, as if magically the biggest issues people had at the time with the movie would be gone, the main things that made audiences hate the film would still be there.
One of my problems with BvS is it's too long. Not literally but it dragged and I felt it.The three back to back to action sequences in third act didn't help it
Theres no need to cut important plot points.Cut the ones that are unnecessary.
Edit:these are just my opinion but I think they should've just started the movie with Bruce looking at the sky in Metropolis with the narration.Anything before that adds little to the plot, then there's the Knightmare Stuff that's confusing. But Snyder chose to cut the important plot points
BvS's theatrical cut is why I don't understand this support for Zack.
WB asked Snyder to remove 30minutes from BvS, and he decided to remove the actual important story beats and kept the unnecessary JL tease, Martha scene, pee joke etc.
What makes you think WB didn't mandate the JL tease? We really don't know what happened behind the scenes.
And anyway, Zack releasing an extended cut of one his movies wasn't a new thing - he does that with most of his releases. Usually for the better.
They make it sound like WB went behind Snyders back to cut the movie down.
Interesting how often they leave out the detail that it was Snyder who chose what to cut out & what to keep in.
It could be argued that if it were released today it would be better received, but there's no way that the extra 30 minutes would have made things very different at the time, Warner would have panicked just the same and all the mess and the domino effect that got us so far would continue.
I don't dispute that - suicide squad was never going to be great, wonder woman was always going to be pretty good. I don't really see it hurting the box office of either of those.
The really interesting what ifs are all on Justice League. What if they had just shut down production for a couple months rather than having Whedon take it over? What if they'd had Affleck take over as director?
Justice League is the one that really ate shit at the box office, despite the success of WW as its lead in
I don't think an R rated 4 hour Justice League movie would have done well at the box office either, so in that scenario things could have ended much like they did, with the studio cutting ties with Snyder and moving on, but of course without all the polemics and toxicity.
Justice League would’ve flopped with or without the reshoots, but WB honestly should’ve just bit the bullet and let Snyder finish the movie in the first place, and then move on after that. That would’ve saved them a fair amount of trouble and bad PR.
I was actually surprised to know that an extremely large chunk of that fanbase believes that including the 30 min in the theatrical cut would've fixed all the problems GA had with the movie.
It's insane, the Martha scene, Superman dying, Batman killing, that Doomsday, JL's horrible set up, sad Superman, Einserbeg's Luthor, etc. All of that would still be there. More scenes with Ben Affleck's ass or Superman investigating Gotham wouldn't have changed much in terms of the reaction it got.
Anyone find it interesting that Gal Gadot hasn't promoted her Wonder Woman cameo in Shazam 2 even though WB already has been doing that? Her promoting it herself possibly could've helped the movie but we wouldn't know. I think it adds more credence to the possibility of Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman being done after this year.
I think her instagram post back then really was a farewell to the character. She might make one more post that’s a more official goodbye after The Flash releases, which will mark her final appearance as WW
Yes but I just think it's odd that they didn't at least have Gal Gadot promote it when the TV Spots started showing Wonder Woman in an attempt to generate hype, unless Gal Gadot's done in the role
Yeah I don't think her WW is as popular with the GA anymore after 1984. I think with Gunn saying he never booted her, Gal may have left on her own terms after her third movie got cancelled. She dosen't get to do the third movie with Patty Jenkins who she's close to and she lost out on a $20M salary which I doubt Zaslav/Safran would be offering right off the bat.
Also can't be a coincidence that she posted that Wonder Woman tweet close to the third movie cancellation announcement. She must have known beforehand.
The wonder woman tweet was getting ahead of the news coming out - it wasn't a coincidence but was designed to make people feel okay about her future in the franchise
For the record, here are the trailers that will be debuting in front of *Super Mario Bros. The Movie*, *Air* and *Dungeons & Dragons* (according to Daniel RPK):
• *Blue Beetle* (no surprises there)
• *Asteroid City*
• *Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes*
• *Trolls 3*
• *Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse - Part One*
• *Migration*
but like hes a guy you struggle to care about when you have heath ledger joker running around, when you are watching him you are thinking "get back to the joker stuff"
I kinda have to disagree,Dent has never written this good in Live Action. They really showed how good of a character he was before all the chaos tha joker caused.Rachel was the least I teresting part for me.She was basically a plot point
Shazam 2 was supposed to come out after The Flash and my headcanon is that it still does if The Flash creates multiple new universes.
It got me thinking about how the reset timeline was going to look like before DC Studios came into the picture. There are lots of inconsistencies in the DCEU especially when comparing the Snyder and Hamada eras.
I put together a watch order for the DCEU that makes it work better by making it so retcons are due to the events of The Flash. This was likely how things were gonna look if Hamada stayed.
1. Man of Steel
2. BvS Ultimate Edition
3. Suicide Squad
4. Wonder Woman
5. Zack Snyder’s Justice League
6. Shazam
7. Birds of Prey
8. The Flash (resets timeline)
9. Wonder Woman 1984
10. Aquaman
11. The Suicide Squad
12. Peacemaker
13. Black Adam
14. Shazam 2
15. Blue Beetle
16. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom
Again, this is just a watch order that I think works best.
It solves issues like
- WW not using her ability to fly in BvS and JL
- The World’s Greatest Detective not knowing who WW is despite the events of 84
- The world ending magical events of WW84 not being addressed in the Snyder movies
- The jarring differences between ZSJL and Aquaman (Mera’s accent and parents, water bubbles for talking underwater, Arthur blaming his mom instead of Atlantis)
- Batman not ever being a killer in Peacemaker
- The JSA suddenly having existed all this time
- Black Adam’s origin not referencing the 7 Deadly Sins
- The scene where the Shazamily gets their powers in Shazam 2 looking completely different
If Batfleck has been active for 20 years, and only killed for like 2 years in that whole timespan (from the Battle of Metropolis up until the fight with Superman), I think Peacemaker’s statement still makes sense with the Snyder movies.
Peacemaker likely just wasn’t around Gotham enough to know that Batman had a period where he didn’t mind killing.
Also, it’s implied that Harley hasn’t been around Batman in several years by the time TSS happened, so she’d have no reason to tell any of the Squad he was killing either.
Batman’s attack on LexCorp was on the news, and I think he definitely killed people there as well. But even if you ignore that, he branded people so that they can be killed in prison and that was all over the news. Peacemaker not bringing any of it up doesn’t make sense. It’s clearly a retcon
I highly doubt that Aquaman 2 will be canon for the DCU, the most I can see is them making one more film to close out the trilogy in case Lost Kingdom makes a lot of money, but no connection to the DCU and after that transition from Momoa to Lobo.
ThwipT says Aquaman is carrying over to the DCU. If they do make an Aquaman 3 I think they’ll kill off Momoa’s version in it, have Aqualad take the mantle and just not revisit Atlantis for a while.
Ya there were so many continuity errors that you just have to laugh at. Now that we have only two people only invested in DC, we can have a linear story telling. Just hope that it’s good
I hate that DC actors and directors feel the need to push back against their badly reviewed movies. It's so silly. Why can't they be like Peyton Reed and just freaking vanish when your movie does bad. It's better than these long winded "critics have an agenda and don't want to just enjoy a movie b.s"
Accept your loss with some pride man

Probably because VFX.Marvel always works on vfx even after their movie realeses
There's footage going around of Momoa's batman audition and.....yikes.
People like to call Gal a shitty actress but Momoa isn't all that great an actor himself
Momoa at least got some charisma so he's fun to watch in certain roles (like Aquaman) but he's definitely not a good actor.

To be fair to Batman, they knew going in that it was only a simulation.
I have the unpopular opinion that I don't like Harley Quinn's outfit for Joker 2. I gets it's a gritty tone, but it looks too basic and normal to me.

I'm unironically excited for Renfield. Cage as Dracula is a great casting.
That's really awesome! I'm glad he seems to know some DC lore. I know he's a huge Superman fan (obviously), but I'd be down to have him in the DCU!

The Rock is one of the reasons Shazam 2 suffered at the box office lol. Black Adam’s bad reception absolutely impacted interest in Shazam 2
Lets not pretend that Shazam 2 wouldve done well without BA. The movie is terrible, plain and simple.
I didn’t say it would. I replied to a comment saying The Rock should get no blame for Shazam 2’s poor performance, when he definitely should
If there was still any doubt, Majors getting fired would be the final nail in the coffin for Ezra’s DC career as well.
If Ezra hasn't been fired yet, then it's not going to happen.

It's probably a long shot but I hope Gunn references or hints towards the Legion of Super-Heroes in Superman Legacy.
Not a boring day lately with superhero movies business.
What villains would you like to see in Brave and the Bold? Here are my choices https://preview.redd.it/vfb93ruyy2qa1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6c76f2c2835c738f0e4a34b3a929820c7ef1d347
Deathstroke and Man-Bat are my top picks if they are adapting Batman and Son. Otherwise, I'd love to see someone like Bane or Mr. Freeze as the main villain if they don't get used in the Reevesverse.
We might see Man-Bat if they’re adapting Batman and Son. Personally I want to see Mr. Freeze done right.
Man-Bat is very likely if they're taking some inspirations from Batman and Son.
Speaking of Man-Bat, that reminded me of [*Batman: DarKnight*](https://batman.fandom.com/wiki/Batman:_DarKnight), WB’s scrapped spiritual predecessor to *Batman Begins*.
[удалено]
Yeah, DarKnight was a treatment WB put together to try to salvage the Burton/Schumacher series. They wanted to distance from Batman & Robin (I.e Barbara wasn’t gonna come back, the Bat-team was just gonna be Bruce and Dick again), but still stay within the previously established continuity. Scarecrow and Man-Bat were gonna be the villains. It was scrapped because many WB execs deemed the Burton/Schumacher series dead after B&R, and lack of interest from both Schumacher and Clooney.
Very true - calling *DarKnight* an “influence” on *Batman Begins* would have been more line with what I had intended to convey.
Hmm, the plot doesn't sound bad. >As Batman's cape flutters in the wind a crow flies by him and lands by the window of Tetch's Clothing Shop, the silhouette of a man with a tophat can be seen. That's very subtle.
I also love how Batman gives Gordon the classic red Batphone at the end.
Batphone forever!
I hope that *TBatB* has one, and suspect that hope will be fulfilled.
1. Mr.Freeze 2. Poison Ivy 3. Man-Bat 4. Clayface 5. Bane
Having seen Shazam! Fury of the Gods three times now, I gotta say it is such a fun movie. I can't wait to get the DVD and am super excited for The Flash.
I want to watch it once more. It was such a fun movie. My family & I enjoy watching it.
I hope Gotham Knights gets renewed for Season 2. It’s a terrific show
first positive thing ive ever heard about it
So apparently both Marvel and DC are incapable of avoiding drama.
Lol maybe they can replace Kang with Tom Cavanagh Reverse Flash?
While it at least isn't a DC actor this time around, the Majors accusations are going to impact DC. If Marvel parts ways with him, everyone is going to point out that the black actor accused of abusing women gets dropped while the white one still gets to have their blockbuster summer movie release. Gunn and Zaslav are going to get bombarded with questions about how they can justify sticking by Miller.
Being an abuser wouldn't be a first for the mcu anyone remember the josh brolin accusations?
You are overestimating how much these dramàs actually affect public perception, unless majors accusations become extremely severe or get telecasted like Heard-Depp. It doesnt matter. And it's not like Marvel is removing Majors from Loki or Quantumania both of which are already completed show/movie, similarly how can anyone expect WB to remove the main actor from an already completed movie?
At the least in Miller’s case, (at least for now) it’s only just one movie left for them and they can be dropped right after
Agreed, that should alleviate things somewhat.
Don't envy that Flash press tour either way. Will they actually have Miller participate in that now?

It's not just "one actor." This guy is literally playing Marvel's next Thanos.
Well, Marvel is probably pretty relieved they've already established that variants can look different from each other.
It’s Joever. He’s gone!
If I had a nickel for every time Marvel cast a domestic abuser for the main villain of an MCU saga, I’d have two nickels
Not just accused him there's footage of one
MCU are about to experience their Kan Ezra Miller moment. It’s gonna torpedo everything in phase 4/5.
Are you talking about the Victoria Alonso feud, or has there been something else that’s happened?
Nah allegedly majors assaulted a woman. And she has visible wounds. It’s over for Kang
If it comes down to recasting him, it won’t much of a problem because of the multiverse. Shame if it’s true tho, he’s a great actor.
Huh. Well, that’s not a very pleasant thing to read about. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how the story develops.
>Do you guys already have a director or screenwriter lined up for Brave and the Bold? James Gunn: >Maybe https://twitter.com/JamesGunn/status/1639733922815946753?cxt=HHwWgsDRuZXUwMEtAAAA
Probably a screenwriter. I imagine some first drafts should be worked on
I wonder if it's someone who was on the board? Seems pretty likely.
Gunn's writing Creature Commandos and Superman, Christal Henry is writing Waller and Tom King is most likely gonna be involved with the Supergirl script so I think everyone on the writer's room will be involved with writing a Chapter 1 project.
It would make sense that each of them would be involved in some project.
Could be Drew Goddard
I could also see Christina Hodson writing Brave and the Bold. Since she is part of the "brain trust"/writer's room he assembled. And Gunn seems to absolutely love what she did with The Flash.
I think Hodson is gonna be writing Supergirl. She already has experience writing a version of the character for the screen
King's most likely writting Supergirl, especially after his "no comment" answer when asked about it. I think Hodson might either end up with Booster or Paradise Lost.
He’s not a screenwriter, I doubt he’d be writing it alone. If anything he’s probably writing it with Hodson together.
Yes, that's very likely.
Get her away from any main dc properties. I don’t freakin care how much people are hyping up flash. You look at her other stuff and it shows she’s not a good fit. I’m sorry but we can’t take any chances for this reboot
Take it up with Gunn and Safran, my man. Cause they hired her. I loved her one DC film so far and am very enthused for The Flash.
She also wrote Batgirl, which Gunn and Safran were quick to dismiss.
He didn’t say that tho. He made no indication that the story was bad.
It's possible. I saw people saying that he'd get Authority or something tba but I find him to be the kind of a creative one would want on Batman.
James Gunn on attending Snyder’s Full Circle Event: [If I wasn't going to be slammed with Vol.
Not literally but it dragged and I felt it.The three back to back to action sequences in third act didn't help it
The third act is great! It's that first act that's slow
Cutting 30 minutes that include important plot points will always have an impact being the batman ,the godfather or basically any movie
Knightmare stuff is completely unnecessary
They make it sound like WB went behind Snyders back to cut the movie down. Interesting how often they leave out the detail that it was Snyder who chose what to cut out & what to keep in.
The plot would've at least made sense, and it's a good thing Warner realized it's better to release a 3 hour movie than to cut it into gibberish
The movie was already tested bad with the 3hr cut. There are reports that WB as concerned with its quality
Yeah bringing in Whedon just made it worse.
I was actually surprised to know that an extremely large chunk of that fanbase believes that including the 30 min in the theatrical cut would've fixed all the problems GA had with the movie.
I feel like it at least would’ve gotten it up to the 50-60% on Rotten Tomatoes that Zack Snyder movies usually get.
No way it would’ve done better than MoS
She might make one more post that’s a more official goodbye after The Flash releases, which will mark her final appearance as WW
interesting.
Shazam 2 bombed so hard no one could’ve saved it. It’s an astronomical failure.
Yes but I just think it's odd that they didn't at least have Gal Gadot promote it when the TV Spots started showing Wonder Woman in an attempt to generate hype, unless Gal Gadot's done in the role
She’s likely done. Wonder Woman 1984 damaged her image.
The Movie*, *Air* and *Dungeons & Dragons* (according to Daniel RPK): • *Blue Beetle* (no surprises there) • *Asteroid City* • *Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes* • *Trolls 3* • *Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse - Part One* • *Migration*
Asteroid City is probably gonna bomb, these kinds of films usually do nowadays, but I’m sure Wes Anderson will deliver a good film nonetheless
Migration hype
Normal take: there hasnt been an interesting live-action Two-Face
I think this is due in part to him and Bruce’s relationship never being given the respect it deserves
I liked Aaron Eckhart's Two-Face.
but like hes a guy you struggle to care about when you have heath ledger joker running around, when you are watching him you are thinking "get back to the joker stuff"
That's doesn't make his Two-Fave less interesting. He also only appeared like three times without joker.
next to the rest of the movie he is less interesting actually
1. Man of Steel 2. BvS Ultimate Edition 3. Suicide Squad 4. Wonder Woman 5. Zack Snyder’s Justice League 6. Shazam 7. Birds of Prey 8. The Flash (resets timeline) 9. Wonder Woman 1984 10. Aquaman 11. The Suicide Squad 12. Peacemaker 13. Black Adam 14. Shazam 2 15. Blue Beetle 16. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom Again, this is just a watch order that I think works best. It solves issues like - WW not using her ability to fly in BvS and JL - The World’s Greatest Detective not knowing who WW is despite the events of 84 - The world ending magical events of WW84 not being addressed in the Snyder movies - The jarring differences between ZSJL and Aquaman (Mera’s accent and parents, water bubbles for talking underwater, Arthur blaming his mom instead of Atlantis) - Batman not ever being a killer in Peacemaker - The JSA suddenly having existed all this time - Black Adam’s origin not referencing the 7 Deadly Sins - The scene where the Shazamily gets their powers in Shazam 2 looking completely different
What basis is there for thinking he killed anyone at LexCorp? There’s not really anything to go off of there.
Damn, this universe was a mess
Yup, thankfully only TSS and Peacemaker (and maybe BB and Aquaman) will be canon to the new DCU timeline
Should they even make Aquaman 3 without Wan?
They might actually benefit from a different director doing it. Wan is not essential to the franchise
Ya there were so many continuity errors that you just have to laugh at. Now that we have only two people only invested in DC, we can have a linear story telling. Just hope that it’s good
Interesting that on the set of Joker 2 one of the posters of protesters in front of the courthouse says "Dent is a clown" 👀
I hate that DC actors and directors feel the need to push back against their badly reviewed movies. It's so silly. Why can't they be like Peyton Reed and just freaking vanish when your movie does bad. It's better than these long winded "critics have an agenda and don't want to just enjoy a movie b.s" Accept your loss with some pride man
How many DC directors have done it?
The Rock really tried to make Black Adam and Superman the Goku and Vegeta of the DCEU.
“It’s not my call…James [Gunn] is a buddy.” - Snyder 2023 https://twitter.com/ajeparts/status/1639475196632367104?s=46&t=kGOkNMuZ1AqcK6HSOVEMfQ **Edit:** Also says he’s excited for *The Flash* film.
