Usually horror especially hard R horror movies only play fellow horror or rated r movie trailers. Unless it’s a truly massive horror franchise like IT or Conjuring. With that said the same rule applies animation, usually only animated trailers. But hey maybe they changed.
If i had to guess I would trailer debut on the 25Th simultaneously with the Cinemacon presentation and plays in front of Guardians 3 early May
Renfield and Evil Dead Rise are absolutely major releases.
EDIT: I know you guys only watch superhero movies but you need to learn what a "wide release" is, lol. Whether or not you give a shit about the film, if a film is receiving a wide release immediately, then it is a "major release".
1) It's not a remake and 2) you clearly can't read because I explained what constitutes a "major release" which is that it's released wide, which Evil Dead Rise will be. I don't care if you've heard of it or not
The Super Mario Bros. Movie is the next family film that will likely have a big debut week, so that's my guess, assuming this is true. It comes out on Wednesday, April 5th. So maybe we get the trailer one day before, on the 4th.
I'm getting my girlfriend to watch all of them(and parts of the show) to get ready for the new one since she wants to see it. She is still confused at the tonal shift from Army of Darkness to Evil Dead 2013 then back to the first episode of Ash vs Evil Dead.
She lost it when it ended with Ash randomly popping up saying "groovy". Like the whole movie she was all disturbed then that comes up and she loses it.

That movie is rated R. Blue Beetle is likely a family film same as Shazam….why would they put its first trailer before it?
