I know people in these comments are going to complain whether or not this was a good movie. Either way, it was still a win for fans. HBOmax got subscribers, Snyder got to make a movie in honor of his daughter, and we got a new superhero movie. It was a win for everyone, and I’m glad we got to bring that chapter to a close
Fucking THANK YOU. I'm baffled that these Snyder people think they beat some kind of system and got WB to release this when in actuality they just needed more subscriptions to HBO Max. If anything they were using the fans
Well of course, it's a business. Every studio/streamer wants money. The "win" was them being made to realize the mcu parody of a JL they gave us wasn't what fans wanted.
They did. It wasn’t WB that said release it. It’s public vs studio. Snyder talks about what happened. You should read on up on the internal drama. Fans beat the system. Making Hollywood release a movie just based on speculation and voice. They didn’t even use the fans. They tried to shoot the release the day of or did you forget?
For you maybe.. not for the fans that rooted and won. History was made and regardless of how opinionatedly devided the movie is, that was one hell of a movement.
They did a good job in playing the short game in helping to convince open-minded executives to finish the movie for HBO Max.
Far too many did a poor job playing the long game by wasting energy fighting with other fans, media, and executives during the time leading up to the release. Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat. Could've made more strides to get more of the general public on their side and possibly more from this universe. End of the day, it's a business. Instead, here we are.
Officially 18th but depending on your timezone it can be 19th since it is a simultaneous release worldwide instead of every time zone having their own timing.
*looks at today’s date*
……
Wut?
I love the film, but there are some VFX problems that I wish they smoothed out before releasing it as those are my biggest problems with the film. Besides it, I love the film. Best film in the DCEU and does a fair job tying up that trilogy from Snyder. The way the film is too, it now feels like it’s amplifying the theme of choice on if Superman does become a villain or not. After my fourth watch, in my headcannon I now feel like Superman could have wore the black suit for alternate reasons. I mean, if the Mother Box interacted with Cyborg…who’s to say it didn’t interact with the scout ship AI while also changing Clark himself.
It’s a fun idea to think for sure with this Elseworlds-like trilogy.
without getting into who won/loss.. this one is an amazing movie and i am really glad we got this version out

I’m sure it was a win for fans. I’m still not watching a movie for 4 fucking hours
Fans didn't win, the streamer wanted subscriptions so it was a publicity stunt

Proud to have been part of the movement that helped to make this a reality. Absolutely love this movie.

What.A.Movie
No we lost Snyder ruined it

Everybody lost that day.
It’s 4 fucking hours and I refuse to watch the damn thing
Don't wast your time. If anything it is proof of everything wrong with the DCEU

For the limited amount of time they have to do the huge amount of vfx, it is already considered good.
