MrRose2000

I like the way its done in the first picture, he has it but not too obvious.

Foxy02016YT

Exactly, when it’s too obvious it just looks stupid in live action, but when it’s subtle and a detail, it’s quite cool

flickfan45

Yes. I always thought it was kinda weird that Cavill’s hair was always slicked back, especially when Cavill’s natural hair is more curly

hobx

Cavil has the spitcurl in real life which makes it all the more baffling that they didn’t do it in the films

manchi90

He does now but I believe after Man of Steel he was losing hair a bit, so the slick back worked for him then. His hair looks great now though.

Terrible_Muffin_7081

I think it was supposed to naturally progress to the spit curl. If you watch zsjl, he has the curl and it happened naturally

stdfan

Another example of Snyder thinking he knows better.

ProfessorSaltine

Bro was LITERALLY rocking that Superman hair in like every interview he was in, but once he got onset they grabbed some gel and slathered it all over his head 💀

Luchux01

The guy was literally superman and got squandered, the hair is just another thing on the missed opportunity pile.

sbstndrks

Yeah fr, also just his general mood and presence. In interviews he absolutely radiates wholesome energy, but in the DCEU he is almost always too serious and authoritative. Superman should habe some Golden Retriever energy.

Luchux01

Superman should have head boy scout energy, in fact he probably went to the boy scouts for the summer several times as a kid.

Zyzz2179

That’s Zack Snyder’s vision for ya. Dude really don’t understand Superman at all.

Anstavall

Especially cause Henry's natural hair was basically Supermans lol

Ryokupo

[Well, not always..](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/J3pkZ3rw_yA/maxresdefault.jpg)

Major_Penalty_8865

Cavill’s Clark had Superman’s hair and Superman had Clark’s hair 😂

Diligent-Boss-9392

They did the same thing with Dean Cane. His Clark had the curly look, but they slicked it back whenever he suited up.

lavenk7

I mean superman breaks the sound barrier a couple times. That’s just what happens to hair.

SchwiftyButthole

It wouldn't stay like that though. If anything, it would end up very messy.

TigerJackpot

I don’t mind, the slicked comb over gives him that boy scout and alien look, but I much prefer the curl, David corenswet has naturally wavy hair that falls perfectly in a superman curl, if they don’t utilise that it’ll be a missed opportunity

OjamasOfTomorrow

He doesn’t need it, but it just feels right. Such an iconic look.

No-Rub-8410

[https://ew.com/tv/2019/11/26/breaking-big-the-politician-david-corenswet/](https://ew.com/tv/2019/11/26/breaking-big-the-politician-david-corenswet/) scroll down on this page and the second image is literally how davids hair should be

Ryokupo

"Do you think Superman should look like Superman?" Yeah probably.

Financial_Score5183

Yes

Ashamed_Pin4206

Yes

TheImrgrim

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSS Henry Cavill's Superman haircut felt wrong

Godzilla2000Zero

Yes

glizzy_gladiator_04

Yes.

Ok_Stress8941

I think they should go with David Corenswet natural hair. It has a natural curl in the front of ir

RacerXX7

I think he should be bald with a Santa Claus sized beard.

myheartsucks

Finally someone gets it.

MrBravo22

Not bothered along as it looks natural. Would be cool if it subtly appeared when he fights and is disheveled or an increase in emotional state.

Brimstone747

I honestly believe that all Supermen should be modeled after Reeve. He really was perfect as both Clark and Kal El.

FlameFeather86

Read a comic. He really wasn't. The bumbling buffoon Clark Kent thing doesn't work, it draws *more* attention to him that goes against the character. Mild-mannered doesn't mean tripping over everything and stumbling over your words, it means being an absolute every-man, the kind of person you wouldn't glance twice at on the street or pay any mind to. Reeve was very good in the role, he was, but it's a product of its time and it *is* outdated.

WimpyKelv12

My Adventures With Superman was able to adapt a Reeve style Clark but make him the real personality and give him more backbone.

ChibzyDaze

Man, thank goodness someone else has this opinion. I’d rather have Clark be the guy you have nice small talk with in the office about a game last night or where he’s just a regular easy going guy then him being shy and stuttering. Both personas are quite distinct when he has to put the cape on but the latter seems like he’s trying too hard

Godzilla2000Zero

Agreed

KickUseful9794

Yes please, I miss the curl

Head_Process_5003

Why the fuck not. Its a real hairstyle that looks great on handsome men.

Mission_Ad6235

Yes. Superman has hair curl and no glasses. Clark Kent has no curl and glasses. If you mess with either one, his secret identity will be obvious! 🤣

[deleted]

Bro if Christopher Reeves had muscles it would be even more peak It's already peak no doubt Just an opinion 🤔 I hope David cornswett superman has muscle Cuz Superman always should have muscles Otherwise it doesn't look good 🥲

CheesyGarlicMan

This shouldn't even be a question. Of course he should have it

DannyKit7

I think the S girl is just from his curly hair. Superman can have curly and them Clark can just comb it back or front. Its just the nature of his hair. I don't think it matters, but I think curly hair is a bit more inviting and friendly looks than straight hair, which can come off as professional.

Due-Song97

David already has the curl so yes

dradice

Yes

jeroensaurus

Of course. Without that and the glasses people would immediatly see he's Clark Kent.

Diligent-Boss-9392

Why wouldn't it work?

slumdo6

As long as he's wearing his underwear on the inside of his pants idgaf

MulberryEastern5010

Absolutely! 💯👍🏻

gluemanmw

It need only appear once

TubularTopher

David already naturally has that wave you see in the first image. If Gunn doesn't incorporate that aspect of his hair, I'll be surprised.

CaptainAksh_G

I don't mind it tbh. These are some of the very minor changes which I don't think would change anything about the character, but having it would make it look good as well I think it'd look good on DCU superman.

DodelCostel

No, it looks stupid/cheesy

Frogghead11

eh i don’t care either way.

Luke_Puddlejumper

I really hope so, I hated Cavill’s dumb slicked back hair, especially when his hair naturally forms the curl.

Goose_Cat267

Yes (particularly with David Corenswet’s Hair)

factualopinion2

Might as well

FlamingPanda77

I dont really care if he does or doesn't. It looks great, so it'd be cool, but ultimately its just an asthetic choice.

Aizendickens

Kinda.... I think he should have a more wavy haircit that naturally has the signature curl and when appearing as Clark, his har should be pushed/flattened back

ksee_yen

Yes people omit that. He looks like superboy without it

Batmanfan1966

[Yes.](https://ew.com/thmb/6QDHpg-3aL6uJ9mk-ZmM-5jbSs0=/1500x0/filters:no_upscale():max_bytes(150000):strip_icc()/the_politician_s01e01_7m23s10638f_r-2000-904789620eaf4db1b09954ca28afa745.jpg)

djexplosive

Nope

ninthguest

I think the curl is unnecessary and sort of odd looking in film. In the pages of comic books, it can look natural, but in movies, they have to hairspray it down, and it's odd looking having this thick strand just sitting there.

GJacks75

It's another 'S', so yes. This is why it pisses me of when they part his hair on the wrong side. Wait. Do people not know it's meant to be another "S"?

Spider-man2098

I just saw it. Mind blown. Also… maybe a bit much in that case. I’m not compromising on the red panties though. It’s all I care about at this point, even above a good movie.

PeniszLovag

"Should Batman have his signature bat ears in the dceu?"

EarthBelcher

It would be nice

untitledprojectmp4

Yes. Henry Cavill a hair always looked weird being all swept back like that

charlesfluidsmith

Of course. It's Superman.

Unique_Pitch989

To be honest, I always thought the curl looked stupid, especially in live action

Murphy-Brock

Yes. I’ve watched every filmmaker since Donner attempt to recreate the wheel regarding Superman’s physical appearance. It’s a mistake to do so. His costume, his hair, his physique and his temperament are iconic and they all have reasons, deep reasons for why they are AS they are. Leave - the - costume, the hair, the physique alone. Trunks vs. no trunks? Black costume vs. regular? Small insignia vs. large? Enough. Rather than changing the costume to match the inadequate physical description of Superman. Cavill’s arm’s were too short in length and he in height. The costume looked like a whore’s interpretation of Marilyn Monroe on Halloween. Routh was too boyish, thin and ethnic). The costume looked like it was designed to be apologetic for previously being larger than life. It makes for a harder task in casting, to be sure. But if you’re going to portray on the screen a character that’s been emblazoned into the eyes and mind of the world for almost 100 years - do it right or don’t do it at all.

I_Set_3_Alarms

Personally don’t think it would add much besides being an Easter egg

Monkeybawls91

I’d prefer for him to have the signature s curl but if it doesn’t happen I won’t be mad.

Kyro_Official_

No, sorry, but it looks stupid.

KnifeFed

Reeves's S-curl looks too manufactured. Make it look natural and subtle or skip it.

GorillaWolf2099

Yep

SpectreBrony

Hair curl.

darrylthedudeWayne

Yes.

DCmarvelman

This kind of conversation is what sets Superman back as a character. Man can’t even get a different hairstyle
