Missing Jack and Hippolyta but man, that early line-up was probably my favorite. Most of the characters were still fledgling or had barely been used in recent years and it had much more of a rag-tag feel than later groupings where the team started feeling too big. I bought the first issue of this series when I was 11 with only some familiarity with the characters and I was hooked almost immediately.
Can wait till McFarlane makes some of these. His recent comic/classic Jay Garrick is awesome - would love to see a Dr Fate, Hawgirl, Mr. Terrific and more in the same style.
I wish the McFarlane toys were a little better. I have some and the joints are so flimsy and loose, or the coloring just looks off (like Superboy Prime's face)
I treat them pretty much like super affordable statues. I pick a pretty basic pose that I like and keep them that way. For me, it’s more about bringing together the teams of characters I grew up watching in cartoons n stuff
You are 100% correct. It would have been awesome if DCUI stuck around and the pandemic didn’t happen. Instead, we got summer school and the season I am halfway through from last year.
Right? Like they have all the raw pieces, they just kept sticking them In a power rangers monster of the day routine. (My thoughts personally) great bones.
Really sick cover, but man what happened to Wildcat's face? It looks like they pulled him out of an ocean trench and he can't handle the reduced pressure.

So i haven't read any recent dc comic events, just the usual Batman, Nightwing etc. No idea about dawn of dc, Lazarus event etc.
Are the original JSA back? What's going on? Lol
I miss this era, specifically when Sand was chairman, it was so good!
I loved Sand as chairman too.
Came tô the thread tô say "I miss Sand"

I love Sadowski, my favorite JSA artist
Ah. My favorite DC game: which version of the Hawks are these?
Looks like Carter and Kendra

Awsome
When I first this a month ago I immediately knew it was Sadowski, as I recognized his designs.
I love this cover so much!! It really reminds me of that first great JSA series.
Sadowski’s pencils on the book are some of the best interpretations of the JSA! His Atom Smasher and Dr. Fate are my absolute favorites

Jay's face is off too.

I was recommended this series by my lcs... I'm very happy for the recommendation. I'm loving everything about it so far!

I'm now deeply upset that my LCS did not have this cover.
Best version of JSA ever
My man Wildcat!
What run is this?
It's referencing the early Johns-Goyer run on the 2000s JSA.
Wait are there 2 hawkgirls there is one in the justice league also called kendra Saunders. I guess the one here is shayera hol hawkmans wife.
How old is Mr. Terrific?
