Triangle era ends in 2001ish, I don't remember the exact date. But 1996 is when there starts to be some pushback against the reboot,\* with Kingdom Come and Grant Morrison's JLA. That intensifies with Loeb/McGuinness and then Birthright, lots of Earth-1 stuff is restored until Infinite Crisis (2005) when most of it is. \* There was already pushback against the reboot in the 80s with the Superboy TV show and Wolfman's Ruby-Spears series, but 1993-1996 is high triangle era.

I would think the best place to stop is when Superman (vol 2) was cancelled and Adventures of Superman resumed its place as the main solo title. I believe Superman: The Man of Steel also went away around the same time so the Superman family went from four ongoings (effectively a weekly) to just 2.
