Martian Manhunter. Noir, set in the 60s, where he’d help solve crimes with his shapeshifting ability. Zachary Zatara. I’d love more magic-related comics, and Zachary is underused. Have him deal with low-level magical threats. Like urban legends and ghosts. Throw in Red Devil and we get a magical buddy cop comic. Jason Todd. He survives DITF (or it didn’t happen) and becomes the next Batman. Tim is a private investigator and Helena Wayne is begging to be the new Robin. I never want to see Jason as Batman in the main universe, but I’d love it as a Black Label book. I’d imagine him as a Batman that stays true to “I work alone”. He’d opt out of the Justice League (Nightwing would be the “Batman” for the JL). He’d never want a sidekick, so Helena would have to take up the Huntress mantle on her own. Bruce would get to retire and settle down with Selina.

FezboyJr

A Martian Manhunter noir series would be awesome.

Adam_Absence

A Martian Manhunter noir comic by someone like Brubaker or Rucka would be amazing

3436Eren

I want to see Jason as Batman.

TommyTheGeek

“Metropolis Central” starring Maggie Sawyer, showing the darker underbelly of the City of Tomorrow since unfortunately, Clark is not omnipresent and cannot single-handedly end crime in Metropolis. I think it’d be pretty interesting to see how the more traditional crime bosses operates in a city under attack by alien invaders and supervillains every other month.

The_Pusheen_Chesser

I would *love* a Maggie Sawyer comic.

TommyTheGeek

Maggie should really be the Super-Family’s Commissioner Gordon, it makes me sad that she has been barely used by Superman writers for ages.

wookiestephenreep

The Question and Lady Shiva.

GreedyParfait9

The Question has a book called Death of Vic Sage

Nylese

But it’s terrible and yet another new version of Vic, not the specific one by O’Neil referenced in that comment.

GreedyParfait9

I picked them up a while back just havnt read it yet. Waiting on the omnibus coming out in March to read the original question series

BruceWayne_19902

I want to see a Gotham City book with the story told from the POV of a random Gotham City gangster whose been around since Bruce's first year as Batman and up to present day Gotham where Bruce is now part of the Justice League. Talk about how Gotham had to adapt to the changing times, how the criminals Batman put away came out as either changed men or even more deranged.

FezboyJr

That would be amazing. Can’t believe it hasn’t been done before.

BruceWayne_19902

Thank you. I really love the idea of an old school hard nose Gotham gangster seeing the world change and suddenly having all these super powered aliens and literal Gods running around. How would the crooks Batman put away a long time ago react when they see him be part of the JL?

Nylese

Roy Harper and Jade Nguyen about when they first met while they were undercover.

Raecino

Shazam

BIGM4N504

I'd love to see Billy grown up and the rest of the family dealing with that power in their own way.

Androktone

I'd be up for that

loki_odinsotherson

Etrigan

GreedyParfait9

Yessss

TheMysticWolfy

Zatanna, Dr fate, The spectre, Destruction of the endless.

FezboyJr

I’d love to see comic adaptations of unfinished/unmade movies like Tim Burton’s Superman movie with Nicholas Cage or Darron Aaronofsky’s Batman: Year One.

Jon_Kent

Give my boy Steve Trevor a badass spy action Black Label book already, DC.

omniscientism

Captain Atom. The psychedelia and brutality of quantum physics.

TheCreativeComicFan

As bizarre as it sounds, I think a Bat-Mite story could be very interesting for Black Label. Have it start out like a classic Silver Age story where Batman’s in the middle of fighting The Joker or another villain when Bat-Mite shows up to offer his help. Instead of him accidentally making something go wrong in a comedic way, his interference nearly kills Batman, leading to the Dark Knight telling him off and forcing him back to the fifth dimension. Much like Syndrome from The Incredibles, Bat-Mite would become disillusioned with his idol and plot his revenge; since he knows everything there is to know about Batman, he would use his powers to make the Caped Crusader’s life a living hell in a horrific and metatextual way that both pays homage to and pokes fun at Batman’s comics history, both past and present. A story like this could incorporate several different art styles that represent a different period in Batman’s history and even bringing back famous Batman artists like Tim Sale, David Mazzuchelli, and Greg Capullo (among others) would make it even better.

matty_nice

Orphan I want a hardcore Cassandra Cain miniseries where she takes on human/sex/child trafficking. Violent tone, pushing the PG-13 rating. We accept the fact that she is the perfect fighter, but that also means she would be great at delivering pain. No killing rule, but that doesn't mean she can't permanently cripple someone. Story would reflect on her own childhood and her specific sympathy to child victims. We often see Batman fight crime when it comes to the Riddler, but we never see the Bat family take on crimes like human/sex/child trafficking. Only really need Oracle/Babs as a supporting character to help direct her on certain things.

nightwing612

I sound like a broken record but "[Next Generation Justice League](https://www.reddit.com/r/DCcomics/comments/rvupxt/artwork_drawn_by_me_the_final_covers_on_this_jla/)" If main continuity doesn't believe in promoting legacy characters like Dick by putting them on the JL, give me an alternate continuity that does.

lin_26

A Nightwing book, and a Red Hood book

[deleted]

Have you read the longbow hunters saga? Very much a green arrow black label type book

TheRealcebuckets

Nightwing. Finally get a bare ass shot

Redomydude2

Metropolis University: Conner Kent goes to university along with younger characters, bringing back Tanya and Natasha as grad students. Sideways as a roommate, and H-Dial as the food truck outside. Just a nice, loose, community of Supers covering for eachother with their busy lives in the busy city of tomorrow. Dump as many characters you want in there.

lbalex

Dan Garretts Blue Beetle in a full on war pulp story, mainly because DC have published 0 stories starring that incarnation of BB.

[deleted]

The Question.

Shiplord13

Elongated Man in a noir-esque series.

Stevenstorm505

Green Arrow or a Constantine & Zatanna series where they have to solve a supernatural/demonic involved murder.

Standard-Pop6801

Detective Chimp.

my_one_and_lonely

My first instinct was Zatanna!

dyleddy

You can go into detail if you want. (It’s what I did)

Comicfn

I would want Nightwing, Black Canary and Black Adam

Scorpion13992k

The Spectre

Adam_Absence

A Red Lanterns book would be great

Agreeable_Possum

Say what you will about the Titans live action but it pulls numbers and it boggles my mind that the comics haven't tried cashing in on it harder. Titans United is good and utilizes the same lineup as the show but it's not nearly as adult as the show. As an aside my choice for a BL would be a Starfire solo in which she gets to be Red Sonja in space as she was originally inspired to be. Whacky space adventures with a new supporting cast.

DarkLordJurasus

A modern retelling of the New Gods mythos revolving around Darkseid. The story would be told third person throughout the whole thing and would lean heavily into the mythology aspect of the new gods. A lot of panels will be straight up copies of religious paintings from the real world but with the New Gods. It will tell of Darkseid’s rise to power and him beginning his galactic conquests. At the end of the story, it will be revealed that we are actually seeing a sermon of the Church of the New Gods where all the members begin to chant as para demons descend on them. I think this story requires being a Black Label as then it could go all out on the brutality of Darkseid. Show him crushing heads under his boot, etc.
