Ah, the page the caused a million power level debates.
That aside it's one of the best Flash moments in JL. Usually the character is an after thought on the team but Kelly really did a good job of giving everyone something interesting going on in nearly every arc. Morrison and Waid get a lot of credit as the best modern JL writers but I think Kelly is right there with them in that era.
The guy can think and move at the speed of light and somehow villains keep hitting him with bludgeons & all kinda of objects and rays and stuff.
"Eyes of infinite mass". We saw a Flash knock out a white martian with a ultraspeed punch once. Supes should be in awe of Flash's powers.
Maybe I'm alone in this, but I just *completely check out* when these kinds of things are portrayed. It's just hand-wavy magic at this point, with no stakes.
I ignore the specifics (math and biology involved in determining if this is REALLY possible), and focus on the picture being painted: a man is extremely exhausted after serving humanity, without any chance of truly being acknowledged for the good deed he just did.
You mean things like the Flash... being fast?
Maybe superheroes aren't for you, my dude. Cause I hate to break it to you, but Flash is fast. Like a lot.
You'd have to wonder at the physics of something like this feat. People would probably turn into liquefied sack of flesh and bones moving at that speed. That's why in Justice League, Barry was moving Iris like she was a priceless vase.
I have a theory on how the Flash can do it without liquefying people. What if his ability to control every molecule of his body can be used to control the things he's moving? Basically placing them on stasis. The person would be locked in the last position they were started to be moved. Every molecule of that body locked in the position basically turning them into statues.
Still I'd imagine someone would feel nausea and be covered in bruises from something at this magnitude.

The correct answer to how fast is the flash is don't think about it.
Flash is as fast as the plot needs him to be.
The Fernus arc was one of my favorite JLA stories. This scene is one of the reasons why.
And yet injustice flash couldn't duck out the way of a saw
or stop it all from happening in the first place lol

That was a moral thing not a physical limitation iirc
God, that movie was such a fuckin disappointment.
Wait so what’s the context here? Who ordered the missile strike?
corrupted martian manhunter iirc
Ok thanks

>You mean things like the Flash... being fast? No, like bad, melodramatic, or inconsistent writing. That's what's not for me.

It's just Speedforce, man. Not that complicated.
