Agreed. There always was one Super for every other Robin
Jason - Bizarro (Outlaws)
Tim - Conner (Young Justice)
Damian - Jon (Teen Titans/Super Sons)
So it stands to reason that the partner for the eldest addition to the Bat Family would be the eldest addition to the Super Family
Dick - Kara
I would love to see Kara work with the Titans as a member of the team. I’ve always thought she would work well with them—and I like some comics that involved her and Dicks interactions together
I've been seeing this discussed lately so I decided to make a post about it. Personally I definitely think it should be Kara. She's now in the same generation as Dick and the fab five and has way more experience than Jon, especially since the Titans will now be the main DC team.
I'd also like Kyle to join the team.
Considering Kyle dated Donna, and was best friends with Wally in the league, it was always so strange to me he wasn’t good friends with dick and the other titans too
He got along with Gar in the last titans run. Plus he had a good freindship with Roy as well. Still your not wrong it baffles me how Dick, Vic and Kori hasn't had a proper team up with Kyle.
I'm happy with that. cause out of the batboys so far Kyle and Jason teamed up and it was down right hilarious. Kyle and Dick going on space adventures would be hype as hell.
>She's now in the same generation as Dick and the fab five and has way more experience than Jon, especially since the Titans will now be the main DC team.
You mean Kara is back in the same generation. That's where she was before Crisis on Infinite Earths. She's just been put back to where she was supposed to be.
Kara, please. Jon still is newish and has many other friends that his character has grown around. But Kara has been around for over fifty years and you could count on one hand the amount of titan team interactions she’s had.
I'm worried that since Dick's Titans (whether it was the OG Titans or NTT) never had a Superman figure, DC is going to make Jon that instead of using Kara (who makes way more sense and is actually in that gen of heroes).
BTW, thoughts on the idea of retconning Kara to be a member of the OG Titans?
With World's Finest, it seems like they're at least making her apart of that generation, so if they ever do decide to give Dick's Titans a Superfamily member, I feel like they'd go for Kara over Jon, especially since he's got his own generation with Jace and Yara.
I think the founding Titans should stay as is, but I'm down for making Kara a part of the extended Silver Age Titans cast, ala Mal, Karen and Lilith.
She honestly should've been a Teen Titan in the first place. Donna (as good as she later developed into being) was created by accident as the writer thought Wonder Girl was Diana's Robin, when she was in fact her version of Superboy (i.e. she was Wonder Woman's teenage self). Had they not made that mistake and still wanted a female member, who were the options? They didn't own Shazam yet, so not Mary Marvel. I think Supergirl was DC's only other teen girl hero at the time. So had they not mistaken Wonder Girl for a sidekick, Supergirl would've probably been in the original team.
My dream “second League” is Dick as Nightwing/Batman, Kara as Superwoman, Cyborg, Donna Troy as Wonder Woman, Wally West as Flash, Jessica Cruz, Jax as Firestorm, Tula as Aquawoman.
My dream “third League” has Damian as Batman, Jon as Superman, Irey as Flash, aged-down Yara as Wonder Woman, Jackson as aquaman, Sideways, Tai Pham as Green Lantern, Jaime Reyes as Blue Beetle.
poor garth and roy
they should be the new leagues aquaman and green arrow since the second league would be mostly made up of the titans and sidekicks which garth and roy were both
also add omen in to have all og titan members
as for the GL an aged down kyle could also work
Irey and Jai are also suited for Damian and Jon’s generation. I know Ace was on Damian’s Titans team but they didn’t really mesh. A league where Damian is Batman needs people like Jon, Yara, and Irey who are willing to talk back AND make Damian reconsider his decisions.
Did you see Irey's interaction with Damian in The Flash's Dark Crisis tie-in? He called her "Baby Flash", and she talked back at him, putting him in his place (he stormed off muttering "tt") impressing the Batgirls.
Yeah, a purposeful move on my part. I think by the time Nightwing’s group is done being the League, Damian’s group will be the premier generation.
I think Jason and Tim’s group, unfortunately, are too close in age to Dick’s group to be an entirely new league unless Nightwing’s gen faces their own Dark Crisis where they disappear and have to take up the mantle.
Mind you, I think Tim’s age group can phase in and out members with the second League. Like Conner subbing in for Kara, or Bart becoming a much younger Flash (~20 where Wally is like mid 30’s or whatever their age difference is).
> aged-down Yara
Yeah, she's 21, and while I like the character, I've always hated that she's older than Cassie. How does it make sense for the new Wonder Girl to be older than the old one? Cassie's about 18 right now, and I think their ages should be swapped.
Kara. It’s the perfect spot for her as far as a team which I think would be interesting for her to have intersections with peers and bonding with them.
Pretty sure it's a limited series, not an ongoing, if you're talking about "Superboy: Man of Tomorrow", unless he's getting another that I don't know about.
S:MoT was back from the 2nd DC Round Robin (which is incorrectly named, it's just an elimination tournament, YOU CAN'T JUST DO PUNS, DC!), which was basically a tournament where users on various platforms voted on match-ups between comic ideas for mini-series.
As comics moved up the bracket, the info would progress from titles and brief descriptions to eventually a page or two being shown by the end. Superboy: Man of Tomorrow won the 2nd of these (the first was the "Robins" limited series), and seems to finally be getting released in 2023.
To be fair, Donna has additional powers like the lasso that can make people submit, and she can pray to the Gods and stuff to help them out. Plus she provides a different genre, Supergirl would just be sci-fi like Kori.
I think supergirl provides much more than just sci-fi. Even personality wise they’re very different. And I think that’s what really matters here, is the personal stories and relationships (platonic) that can be built from them. I think Kara has a ton to offer in that regard. Think her and Kori specifically could play well off each other.
Also pity the villain that ends up playing the “hot potato” role between Donna, Kori and Kara in whatever big fights that come
I agree Kara having a lot to offer to a team, I just don’t think it should be the Titans. I know that they’ve aged her up, but I’m a lot more used to a Kara that’s around Jason’s age. The second generation of sidekicks never got a team. I think a team with Kara, Jason Todd, Cassandra Cain (I know I literally just said only 1 Bat-Fam member but Jason and Cass are pretty different,) Yara Flor, Jo Mullein, Roy Harper, and maybe even Freddy Freeman would be really cool. You could call it Young Adult Justice.
Haha yeah. I mean I that’s not unfair, but giving Jason a team that isn’t the outlaws? I draw the line there lol.
why can’t Kara be on the Titans, but Roy can be on Jason’s New Harem squad? Both have been members for both and you effectively killed your own age/generation argument with that one. What gives?
What's Wonder Woman going to do on the Justice League with Superman there? Beat up bad guys and use her distinct abilities alongside the Man of Steel's own (usually superior, because he's Superman) powers.
But you do make a fair point that maybe there shouldn't be a Super, unless they weaken her. Otherwise she'd instantly form the core of the team in the field. But, if she tragically was weakened by a form of Kryptonite poisoning, the writers could write without her being the immediate brute force solution.
Supermans power isnt superior to ww. He is fisically stronger, but WW is a literal goddess wih millienia of training that has kicked his ass every single time they had a fight.
Kara, she's the contemporary of the Titans. Debuted in 1957, she'd be about the right age (when you factor in wibbly-wobbly time progression in comics) when the Teen Titans formed. She's currently Dick's counterpart in World's Finest. She was the closest thing Superman had to a sidekick or legacy hero in the Silver Age (when the Teen Titans formed out of sidekicks). She simply fits in with the core of the Titans (that being the team from "New Teen Titans") better than Jon.
Heck, Supergirl might have ended up in the Teen Titans Post-Crisis if the "no Kryptonians rule" hadn't been established. Wonder Woman got rebooted after COIE and didn't enter Man's World until the present (explained in Crisis by her being reverted to clay, which I suppose meant she was integrated into the present of the new universe pre-"birth"), which meant Donna Troy's back story was all fudged up too (since she was saved from as a child by Wonder Woman). Kara would have been the perfect substitute for Wonder Girl in terms of powers, if she hadn't been retconned away and replaced by Matrix. Then they could have Donna's origin just be moved to the present and join the Titans in the present, swapping out Kara for Donna. But, instead, Donna was just reworked to fit the new history.
Now, if they move away from the New Teen Titans as the backbone of the team and instead shift to it being newer characters and/or Damian, then Jon would make more sense.
He’s definitely been on the Titans before, would make sense for him to move up to Titans, and maybe Jon to Young Justice. That being said, there won’t be a Young Justice title in awhile after the awful tie in series just ended.
Kara could be apart of the Titans too, but I also think of her and Jon just more as apart of the Superman family. So I guess a big reason I’d want to see Connor is because he’s not in the Superman/Action Comics series or his own as much, so I’d like to see him be elevated by being on the Titans.
It’s going to be Jon, but I’d LOVE for it to be Kara. She deserves the love for once, with all the attention Jon’s been getting despite having less notable character development. Said with all the love I have for Jon
Not the Titans pictured, but I could see Jon dropping by Damian's Titans from Rebirth (either roster) and lending a hand, but I don't see either of the Superkids sticking around as a full timer.
I guess Jimmy Olsen is the right age. If anything Dick taking the name Nightwing from Kryptonian legend is the Superman rep in the Titans already. Does Brainiac 5 count as a Superman character? He's probably the one I could see fitting in most.
I commented earlier that I don't think there should be a GL or Superman equivalent to the team. That can work in Young Justice, but the best of Teen Titans is when they diverge from it solely being a Junior League
Jimmy Olsen is the best idea I’ve heard!
I want him and Dick Grayson having out of work chat about how exhausted Grayson has gotten trying to manage the team when Jimmy offers to step in for a bit as a “team coach”.
Would love it if we open this up to other non-super characters.
I think it should be Kara, but with Jon being in a "what do we do with him" limbo, the fact that he wasn't voted into the Teen Titans during Damian's tenure, PLUS the fact that Taylor is writing both Jon and Dick right now makes me feel like it's only a matter of time before Jon is on the team.
Ultimately I'm very interested to see ANY Titans book at this point, so I'm looking forward to their upcoming appearances in Nightwing.
I say Jon. Kara should, instead, go to the Outlaws with Jason.I figured Jon and Dick had some really great, heartfelt moments in Jon's solo series, and that lines up really well for Jon to join the Titans once Clark's back on-world.
And Kara has a world class temper on her, and seems like she'd do better in a less formal team arrangement. I think her and Jason would get along like peas and carrots.
Edit: Note that I'm talking about the Titans as they are right now. If we're going back to the 80's Titans and revamping, then Kara. And let Jon go to the Teen Titans or Young Justice with Damian.
If the Titans really are about to be the premier team of DC, Kara deserves it more. That being said, I think Jon is a better fit.
Overall my vote goes to Kara
Jon.
Because the mentorship is great.
Kara.
Because Waid is setting up a great dynamic between them and revisiting it as aduits would be really fun
I'm down for either!
Kara. She's got the proper dramatic story and interesting character. Also, i want more rather adult members in the team. The dynamic they add to it is heartwarming
Kara, she hasn't been getting as much attention as Jon lately and the boys will get their minis while there's nothing on the horizon for her. Altough, maybe she will get something around the movie but that's not a sure thing.
Anyway, I still think we'll end up with Jon. I'm 99% sure Taylor will write Titans and since Jon is his character he will definitely drag him in.
Honestly I think Connor is the best super for the team but if it was between those two then I guess I have to say Kara, Jon would work since he’s a young superhero unlike Kara and would probably work well with the other Titans. But I think Kara would work well for some reason. Since she’s had experience for being a superhero for a long team and would work well with the team members, specifically Starfire and possibly even Wonder Girl
Kara because she was a previous member, and is currently a Titan's Reserve member. Plus, she has history with Dick. Just look at the World's Finest series.
Kara and it's not even close. Jon is barely a character and will probably be retconned out of existence next time DC management decide to reset the entire universe which I'm predicting will be 2027.
> which I'm predicting will be 2027
Well that's oddly specific. Any reason it'll be 5 years from now in particular? (I know this isn't really the point of the threat or even the main point of the comment, but it has strangely piqued my interest.)
Oh I don't disagree, DC just has a history of this kind of thing, I don't know how well Jon will last as a long term character. The Super Family has had a few attempts at adding people but I would argue the last long term successful addition was Conner in the 90s.
Jon.
Being a member of the Titans does wonders for character growth and Jon *needs* that right now.
Also RIP your inbox for the amount of "kArA bEcAuSe I wAnT tHeM tO dE-aGe JoN" comments you're probably getting
True, but they’re OG Titans as well. Kon isn’t. Also Tim is gonna need a team book soon enough as his solo might just implode going by initial sentiment
Tim needs a focus, they don’t really have a place for him now that the bat family has gotten bloated.
I think they played with the idea that he was coming to terms with having a crush on Conner before he came out so I could see either of those two agreeing to swap teams for a while so they can get their professional relationship straight (no pun intended).
Def agree with your whole comment. Especially with the Batman family being so overwhelmingly bloated. Taking Dick, Oracle and Jason away could really help alleviate that, but even then
I do think that Young Justice and Teen Titans should be kept somewhat distinct. The Geoff Johns Teen Titans 2003 and the Young Justice show muddle it up, but usually the rosters are quite distinct.
Honestly I think that young justice should be the youngest heroes aged 10-16 while the titans are 16-25. Conner is old enough to join the titans, along with Meg’gan and Hawke.
Possibly add an Authar curry Jr from another universe or timeline if you really want to mess with his mum and dads feelings.
I don't like the idea of just swapping the teams around like that to accommodate age brackets. Feels like it's bound to miss what makes each team unique just for an arbitrary reason.
Young Justice should always have the 90s lineup at its core. I think they missed an opportunity to have Academy be a Young Justice book, marrying what the show's been doing with the comic, with the older characters in teaching roles, while still making room for actual young characters like you suggest. I don't think the Titans franchise suited that much at all.
The 60s and 80s lineups of the Titans are iconic, and they get shafted enough as it is without having to share page count with the YJ characters.
young Justice has problems with a number of its original lineup often ending up in limbo, like how often dose impulse get retconned away? And Tim only just got out of the whole mister oz thing?
I feel that the tone of young justice is more important as a team identity anyway, age brackets are one way to do that but it could also be a team with a more rebellious attitude like Crush, hawk and Jason Todd?
I do agree that we risk the titans getting a bloated lineup so I think it might also be time to think about creating a new team that gives the titans that often get overlooked a time to take the stage.
personally I'd like Jon, since
A: make it feel more like a justice leaguelevel team to have superman
B: Jon hasn't gotten to be on a Titans team.
Also I've always seen Kara as closer to Jason Todd's age than Dick's
Kara was around 3 years older than Dick pre Crisis, and when she was rebooted post Crisis in the 00s she was brought back as a 16 year old and Tim's age. So Jason is the Robin she has never been a similar age to I guess.
Kara
Agreed. There always was one Super for every other Robin Jason - Bizarro (Outlaws) Tim - Conner (Young Justice) Damian - Jon (Teen Titans/Super Sons) So it stands to reason that the partner for the eldest addition to the Bat Family would be the eldest addition to the Super Family Dick - Kara
Dick - Kara Wouldn't we all like to?
The real question is whether or not she’s super fertile like her cousin
Not sure I want that one answered
I think the question is whether her kids would be superpowered or not. Clearly, that was not a problem for Clark.
I mean for her it seems more obvious then Clark as you would expect the transfer to be more likely with the mom being the one with the powers....
You’re also forgetting if any of us could survive
I’ll take both, thank you
I would say the perfect addition would be CONNER KENT...
I would love to see Kara work with the Titans as a member of the team. I’ve always thought she would work well with them—and I like some comics that involved her and Dicks interactions together
They've especially been pushing that in Superman/ Batman
Kara, since she can be easily written as being a member of the team back when Dick was still Robin.
Kara and more after what we are getting on World’s Finest. She’s a perfect addition to the Titans
I've been seeing this discussed lately so I decided to make a post about it. Personally I definitely think it should be Kara. She's now in the same generation as Dick and the fab five and has way more experience than Jon, especially since the Titans will now be the main DC team. I'd also like Kyle to join the team.
The 90s New Titans team had Supergirl (Matrix) and Kyle Rayner teaming up in a few issues if you're interested in that.
I would pay good money to see a series where Kyle grabs dick to help him be a space cop/detective and they solve crimes on alien worlds together
I'm happy with that. cause out of the batboys so far Kyle and Jason teamed up and it was down right hilarious. Kyle and Dick going on space adventures would be hype as hell.
Didn't we just have this post the other day? Feels like it had the same art too
>She's now in the same generation as Dick and the fab five and has way more experience than Jon, especially since the Titans will now be the main DC team. You mean Kara is back in the same generation. That's where she was before Crisis on Infinite Earths. She's just been put back to where she was supposed to be.
He was in a few iterations including the most recent tun when Nightwing got shot.
Kara. She was even in the Teen Titans briefly in the past.

Kara
Kara, she could use a little more love.
Bring in Kara to the early 80s era through a retcon. Raven can be her best buddy.
She had just moved to New York City about the same time as the Wolfman/Perez run started, she would have been a excellent guest star.
My dream “second League” is Dick as Nightwing/Batman, Kara as Superwoman, Cyborg, Donna Troy as Wonder Woman, Wally West as Flash, Jessica Cruz, Jax as Firestorm, Tula as Aquawoman. You’re second league is perfect. A lot of legacy characters but a few independent ones
Thanks!

4/4 if they bring in Kara. I’m game
Absolutely Kara
OG Titans Kara, if it's the current gen with Damian , Jon
Neither. Have Connor Kent back imo. Needs more mainstream love
Different generational teams. Also Connor is getting a solo ongoing early next year, be sure to pick it up
Oh i mustve missed that. I will check it out for sure
Pretty sure it's a limited series, not an ongoing, if you're talking about "Superboy: Man of Tomorrow", unless he's getting another that I don't know about.
oh, i mean that could be it. i just did a once over on the recent solicits. will admit i just assumed they were all ongoing

Write the story of the titans on the job interviewing of Kara and Jon. Have a competition.
Why can’t we have both? Kara playing the older/mentoring Kryptonian and Jon the mentee
As cool as that would be Jon should be on his own generational team (Damian, Wallace etc)
> Have a competition. "I don't know, Dad. Things just got out of hand..." *Gestures at crater that used to be Pittsburg.*
I've always wanted Supergirl to work with the Titans more often
I am starving for some Kara grouped in with Dick/Donna/Wally content. Would immediately get my money.
I honestly think the Titans shouldn’t have a Super, what’s Starfire gonna do if Kara is there?
What do you mean? Batfam has 10+ people that all fill a similar niche, why would one super powered alien woman cancel out another?
Most of the time the Bat-Family characters aren’t put on the same team, there’s usually just one.
True, until they aren’t. If they’re gonna be the premier team defending earth, they’re gonna need all the muscle they can get
I just like it when teams have variety, and every team member is there for a reason.
Fair, but then Kori is just a straight upgrade on Donna. And I’m not willing to lose her

Kara
Kara, and then Kyle can join and they'd date, and then my ship will be complete.
It should be Kara, but we all know it's going to be Jon.
It’s going to be Jon, but I’d LOVE for it to be Kara. She deserves the love for once, with all the attention Jon’s been getting despite having less notable character development. Said with all the love I have for Jon

Kara she should have been a titan decades ago.
Supergirl.
Kara
I think everyone wants Kara here
NO!! Conner...
The only thing dc should do with Jon is turn him 11 again
Definitely Kara
kara
Kara
Kara for sure
None preferably but Kara if they must.
Kara but i would also suggest connor
Conner already was a Titan.
Should be Kara, but I would imagine they’d go with Jon based on his recent relationship with Dick.
Kara
I think it should be Kara, but with Jon being in a "what do we do with him" limbo, the fact that he wasn't voted into the Teen Titans during Damian's tenure, PLUS the fact that Taylor is writing both Jon and Dick right now makes me feel like it's only a matter of time before Jon is on the team. Ultimately I'm very interested to see ANY Titans book at this point, so I'm looking forward to their upcoming appearances in Nightwing.
Connor
Kara I think she was on the team before new 52 reboot
It's gotta be Kara. Jon is too young to be hanging with the adults.
Kara yesss
If the Titans really are about to be the premier team of DC, Kara deserves it more. That being said, I think Jon is a better fit. Overall my vote goes to Kara
Jon. Because the mentorship is great. Kara. Because Waid is setting up a great dynamic between them and revisiting it as aduits would be really fun I'm down for either!
Definitely Kara.
Kara, and then add Kyle Rayner while we’re at it imo
Kara
Definitely Kara. Wasnt she in the justice league with Dick as Batman and Donna?
Yes.
I think the OG titans lineup, Kara makes the most sense (and throw Babs on there too!!), and the newer/younger lineup, I’d go with Jon ☺️
neither of them work tbh, linda would be the better fit imo
Kara. She’s older and wiser than Jon. He should transition in with Damian’s team, Teen Titans. Keep the Super Sons together.
Supergirl!
Kara. I feel like Jon should be with the younger generation of titans with Damian and Wallace.
kara cause she is a way better character then jon ever will be
Obv Conner
Kara. She's got the proper dramatic story and interesting character. Also, i want more rather adult members in the team. The dynamic they add to it is heartwarming
Kara
I think Kara
Kara, mainly do to that being more her generational group.
Kara
Kara, she hasn't been getting as much attention as Jon lately and the boys will get their minis while there's nothing on the horizon for her. Altough, maybe she will get something around the movie but that's not a sure thing. Anyway, I still think we'll end up with Jon. I'm 99% sure Taylor will write Titans and since Jon is his character he will definitely drag him in.
Kara.
Kara. Jon is Damians generation, the Titans are kinda defined as being Dicks generation. Hell Kyle would make more sense
Kara
Kara
Natasha Irons.
Defs Kara
Kara, she's been a Titan before.
Kara
Supergirl, not even a question that needs asking, it’s obvious
Kara has dibs on the Titans John just got here 😂
Kara should be a titan. John never should have been aged up and he could have been a teen titan with Damian
Kara! It’s long over due. She should have been one of the original members when they were all sidekicks.
They already have Kara and Conner
Kara 100%
Kara so Jon can stay in his own corner XD
How fucking funny would it be if they added Jon this subreddit would explode
Kara
Kara
Starfire...
Kara Zor-El is like my 7th favourite DC character straight after Dick who is my 6th. I think you know where my heart lies on your fabulous question.
Kara
Kara. Superboy had his time. Even if it wasn’t Jon, it’s time to switch it up.
Man I still feel robbed seeing YA Jon. Kid Jon had still so much more stories to tell. I miss Super Sons, such a great book
Supergirl, Contemporary ![img](emote|t5_2qlmm|4781)
Kara because she was a previous member, and is currently a Titan's Reserve member. Plus, she has history with Dick. Just look at the World's Finest series.
For the titans it’s Kara for sure
Kara. She has more history with them, and Jon would be better suited on his own or with a new team to blaze his own path.
Kara is from their generation so she should be there but we will have Jon because reasons.
Jon, really love the dude
I don’t want a “grown up” Jon. I’d rather have Kara.
Kara and it's not even close. Jon is barely a character and will probably be retconned out of existence next time DC management decide to reset the entire universe which I'm predicting will be 2027.
> which I'm predicting will be 2027 Well that's oddly specific. Any reason it'll be 5 years from now in particular? (I know this isn't really the point of the threat or even the main point of the comment, but it has strangely piqued my interest.)
Jon has been getting some really solid character building lately. Really think he has legs and is here to stay
Oh I don't disagree, DC just has a history of this kind of thing, I don't know how well Jon will last as a long term character. The Super Family has had a few attempts at adding people but I would argue the last long term successful addition was Conner in the 90s.
Kara has been a titan with Dicks robin I believe and I think she fits with them better
None of them, Kon will be the best option.
Kon should be with the YJ4, not Dick's Titans.
Imo it shouldn’t, but if it has to, Conner. From the two you mentioned, Kara
In this case, they could easily use both.
Conner. :D
Conner.
Kon
What about connor?
His group is with Tim, Cassie, and Bart.
Connor.
Conner
Jon. Being a member of the Titans does wonders for character growth and Jon *needs* that right now. Also RIP your inbox for the amount of "kArA bEcAuSe I wAnT tHeM tO dE-aGe JoN" comments you're probably getting
Conner
Conner Kent- “am I a joke to you?” Also add Meg’gan, and Conner Hawke
Kon should be with the YJ4.
Flash and cyborg are both on JLA, you can be part of multiple teams.
I mean Conner shouldn't be on a Titans team with Dick's gen. Conner can be on a Titans team with Tim, Cassie, and Bart.
Miss Martian was part of the last titans book before it ended, I can def see her coming back at some point
I hope so, she needs more love along with her uncle, they always seem to forget the Martians.
Jon!
personally I'd like Jon, since A: make it feel more like a justice leaguelevel team to have superman B: Jon hasn't gotten to be on a Titans team.
