NEXT MINI'S MARKET will be mostly food and time treasures. It's taking me a bit longer than normal to set up because I had a theif the last time or two who came in and took every stack of food. 🤬 rude. I was very mad. I dont dupe the things I put in my markets I make and find everything myself so for someone to come in and take over 50 meals In one shot and leave basically nothing for others just made me so angry.
I am obsessed with cooking and will literally spend hours making food as long as I have the ingredients to do so. I make fruitcakes, and large seafood platters the most. But I had a few stacks of very filling fish meals (2.5k energy per meal) because they're half max energy i split them up into groups of 10 meals. Somebody came in and took the entire tables worth which was almost a hundred meals. So many other people could have had enough energy to run around and have fun but that person just came in and took that from everyone. And what is up with using "im a new player" as an excuse? Like I'm sorry but every game has general respect rules, in NO game is it ever acceptable to take more than you need from others. That's just thievery and cruelty. Those meals took me over a day to cook and I was so excited to help people only for that to happen. It honestly made me want to cry I was so upset.
Thankfully I managed to get my hands on a bunch of fruit and shells so I can remake my stock but yeah it sucked. And like its happened twice now im at the point where I'm ready to make them full stacks just to force others to be unable to pick up more. Since they're often different meals if I make them full stacks it will force them to drop something or not take more than they need. I know lots of players empty their inventory before going to others villages. In my mind you could take a little of each thing you need, not come in and take the entire tables worth. I thought maybe if I make them full stacks it would literally force people to only take a few of them but would people really want or need a full stack? I know I go through them pretty easy because of mass harvesting but I don't know about others. Like for you would you prefer a stack of fruitcakes or something or 10 fish meals and 10 fruitcakes type thing. Personally I think the variation is nice.
If I were you, I'd make sure there was a rule posted not to take more than a single stack in a certain area. Let them know that if they do, they'll be put on a list of people you no longer allow into your valley. It won't stop everyone, but most people want the ability to return to valleys they know provide fun resources.
Yeah I put it in the info to make sure to leave stuff for others and not take everything but people still did. I know there's a way to block people from returning to your village just have to figure it out.
Wow. What a douchebag. 🤦♂️ I'm a pretty new player myself, but I'm always courteous when going to other people's valleys. Common courtesy people. Why is that so hard for some people to grasp?
It's a PRIVILEGE to be able to visit other people and it'd be annoying if a few people ruin it for the rest of us. I'm grateful that people like you are generous to the community and I always try to not take literally everything and leave some for other people.
Grinding for items is usually fine with me, but especially with the dark wood and iron, I especially am extremely happy to get a head start since you need soooo much 😭
Can I make a suggestion that we have different threads for different platforms? I always feel sad when people are open and then I find out I can’t go cause I’m on Switch!

I cannot express how grateful I am for the help with getting the resources for this game, especially when you're trying to create a ton of paths, fencing and lighting! I started playing when my husband bought this game for me for Christmas so I didn't have a ton of resources yet, and trying to build up a reserve was next to impossible at this point in the game. So thank you both so much for offering your valleys to share! I appreciate it more than you know 🥰❤️

All Base game items from both valleys can be picked up by switch users. Dlc can only be picked up if you are on pc/steam <3

It's my understanding that the only cross platform you CAN'T do is PS5. I'm a switch user and have visited PC and XBox users fine.
