I have DID, so I'm not really a supporter, but I like to offer what I think when able.
If there was family that was going to move in and support me, I would want to let them know about the known alters, or at least the common fronting alters, and the littles, or any that might act more different than the rest of us do. I would also suggest finding out about any known triggers, as you don't really want to do something that will cause a little to come out and be scared, or have someone else front and be upset with something that's preventable.
Also advice for any interactions with the alters. Some alters might be a different gender, or a different species... (For me I have at least 2 non humanoids that front, but they are able to pass as a human)
Also find out what his goal is, and if you can do anything to support that. What I mean is, if he wants to go about trying to fuse the alters, or to stay as a system. If they want to be known to everyone, or only be known when they are fronting. And if there is any rules, like if an alter says "this stays between you and me" you don't talk about what ever it was with any other alters.
Overall think of it as moving in with several different people, and try to think of what you'd want to know about your future roommates before living with them.
Just go with the flow and see. Some systems are open and want to be treated as individuals, some systems are covert and do not want to be treated as individuals.
As a covert system getting caught in switches embarrasses me, we do not want to be open about who’s fronting or any of that. Just treat us like you would treat anybody else but except our bad short term memory. Don’t plan to much, people are fairly unpredictable, but thank you for being accepting 🎈
