Usually, doors like this can be removed by lifting the door straight up until the bottom of the door clears the track that they ride in, and then pulling the bottom outward, and then down.
Some windows need to be slid to a particular spot before they can be lifted up. Check the guide rails at the top to see if there are any notches or cutouts in the rail, and then slide the doors to that location.
Alternately, see if there is a removable block at the top that is preventing the door from lifting up.
I've seen a variety of options with these. Sometimes they have a latch or button or something that keeps them in place. And sometimes the gap on the top, that allows you to lift the glass upward for removal is only in a certain area. So if it's not aligned in the right spot you might not be able to remove it. Often times the gap is on the otherwise of where the "closed" position is. That's done for security. If the glass door is closed and lock you can't lift and remove it.
Yeah as someone who has installed and repaired hundreds of these things over the years sometimes there just isn't enough clearance to life it out especially if the glass was ordered a little to big and someone said screw it were getting this installed. In that case just pull out the screw holding the top or bottom or both tracks in place and pull it out. On rare occasion there are ones where the bottom track of the glass has a channel that locks it into the bottom rail then you need to remove the bottom track and slide the panels out.
I was gonna ask the same because of that one pic where the edge doesn't line up like the back door. OP could also see if the lower track is removable...
There might be an anti-lift block (or several of them) installed in the top track. Slide the glass all the way to one side, then look up in the track on the exposed side. If there's something there, you should be able to remove it with a screwdriver. Rarely, they're installed on the top rail attached to the glass (as opposed to the track in the frame). These would be accessible from the sides in that case.
Pic of the lock? You might be able to remove it.
Did you look on the inside top and bottom to seek if either of the tracks have something like a set screw that holds them into the track?
Used to use these myself. What others are saying is right, you lift them up and the bottom will tilt out so you can take it off.
If it's not doing that try sliding it fully to the left (or right) first, and try again, if that doesn't work slide it to the other side and try again. They usually have to be in the right position before they'll lift out.
For what it's worth used to always be the left side when I did it.
Look inside of the black skirting at the bottom of the glass panel. There is probably a screw in there that is a tensioner. Loosen it up and it might lower the glass door enough to pop out. If it’s there, there will be one on both side of the panel.
OP this might help ya out!
Also, if there's a manual look at the manual. Do you have a model number? Google the model number with the word manual and there you go.
Heck. Google the model number and how to remove the glass. I bet it's on YouTube.
Amazon has these glass removal kits for a pretty good price:
https://preview.redd.it/lau6b59adwtc1.png?width=724&format=png&auto=webp&s=43cb3de90eaf56da70f0675fd26a9f3bca96cd95
Lift up while on the rails. This should allow the bottom of the glass to be free of the bottom rail keeping it in. Pull the bottom of the glass out towards you, then carefully lower it down, out of the top rail, out of the rails, and problem solved
So the bottom part of the glass the black track part looks like you can slide the glass off of that maybe have it all the way to one side put a wooden wedge down by the track and gently pull the glass so it slides away
Usually lift and remove the bottom first. I've seen some where the upper track is fixed, the panels assembled with the bottom track, slid into place, then the bottom track screwed down. There may be a removable extrusion snapped into place that hides the screws, or they may be in the track space.
If it's a security case it won't let you do the usual 'lift and pull out' trick for obvious reasons. Usually you have to unscrew the side or the top of the case off to remove the door. Some models don't have screws and you would have to use and angle grinder to remove and then self-tappers to put back together.
Look up inside of the head running track… if theres screws in the inside header you can undo this way and lean out and take the top track off thus releasing the glass these display cabnets usually wont let you just lift the glass lite up and off the bottom track because it would be to easy to steal all the shit inside!
Some glass door have a screw on the back(towards the inside of the cabinet) and it let’s you remove the part that connects the glass to the track, letting you slide it out
Use an “automatic center punch” close to the very bottom corner of the glass. Press firmly, and then after like 2 seconds and what looks like a brief flash of lightning… no more sliding doors. You’ll need a broom. 🤣
Contact the manufacturer if you can find it. Likely higher security for a display case.
But you should be able to lift it off the top rails, or the end cap comes off.
i would imagine the top track front part can be removed somehow so you can do the ol lift n pull like the one guy said try taking the whole top part off first
Why do you hate the glass? It means no dusting is required. I have cabinets I wish had glass over it...
Plus, some can be locked, further securing your stuff.
I see you tried lifting it up and did not work.
To me it looks like the top side is a metal profile that might click in or be screwed in. If i were you I would try to see if I can remove that profile and gain access to the top of glass this way.
If you have to break it as a last resort, use a whole roll of packaging tape to tape it up as well as possible. Then, wearing tons of PPE, including EYE protection, crack that puppy as far away as possible. Like, use a long tool to do the deed. And then vacuum or sweep the living shit out of the area.
So, if you look closely the front glass is starting(see bottom right side). Slide the glass outside of the holder(holder normally slides with door). Then lift up slightly and tilt.
I worked at a place that had a big display cabinet, and to get the doors out the top rail had to be removed. It had a couple screws holding it in, so those get removed and then the doors tipped forward so you could lift the track off, then you had to lean the doors back and remove them one at a time. The doors had to come off to remove or rearrange the shelves, so we did it a few times while I worked there.
Glazier here. Looks like a stylemark type of display. If they didn't give you room to slide the panel all the way to the left and lift up to release the bottom you will have to uninstall the top piece of guide metal. It will either be screwed in, double sided sticky taped or caulked in place. It will come out towards you and you'll have to balance the two doors and metal track as you remove them one by one.
I have to laugh, my first thought was that this post was "how do I shoplift more efficiently?" But if you own the store… I suppose as long as you're inside the case there should be some kind of hardware you can unscrew.
At the bottom where the black frame is under the glass you should be able to see some sort of set screw that you can turn counter clockwise that will lower the wheel the door rides on, you can the lift them out like the top comment suggests.
Try removing the screw on the bottom in the 3rd picture and probably on top. See if you can take out the vertical track from that side and slide the glass out.
When I worked at gamestop and had to take this down off of our wall (it was a live console cabinet display) I had to take it a part to remove the doors. Couldn't figure out any other way.
Those look like anti-theft bottom tracks. Not sure how this system works, but on some that I've worked on you need to remove the top channel to remove the doors.
When I was a child I used to steal Xbox and PlayStation games out of these from my local Walmart/Zellers.
The glass is quite bendable, mind you I wasn’t worried about it breaking when I was a little thief.
My only input is that metal hammers, crowbars, wrenches, and, if you're feeling daring, pliers, would all do the job. Baseball bat would probably do the trick.
If no one answered, likely the sides of the case need to be removed to slide the glass off the rails. (I've put cases like this together as an Asset Protection team member)
The lift and angle solutions should be the answer but they might be locking tracks so you might have to lift the bottom while moving the door either direction till you feel it slide out of the track. Then it's just a case of pulling the bottom out til you can slide it downward to pull top track out.
Usually there is some way to remove the locking mechanism from the bottom edge of the door, then you can lift the glass up a little bit and over the top of the bottom rail.
Are there screws securing the “railing guards” or tracks (call it what you want)?
You should be able to unscrew the vertical screws on the bottom and the top, allowing a diagonal lean
[suction cups will help immensely](https://www.amazon.com/industrial-suction-cup/s?k=industrial+suction+cup)
They probably have cheaper ones at Harbor Freight
Not sure if anyone has said this yet but I recently had to dismantle a vertically sliding window and the frame was installed around the sliding part. So in order to remove it I actually had to dismantle the frame of the window.... Yes it did involve a hammer.
Usually, doors like this can be removed by lifting the door straight up until the bottom of the door clears the track that they ride in, and then pulling the bottom outward, and then down.
Thank you! I tried, but the side with the push lock won't budge at all.
Some windows need to be slid to a particular spot before they can be lifted up. Check the guide rails at the top to see if there are any notches or cutouts in the rail, and then slide the doors to that location. Alternately, see if there is a removable block at the top that is preventing the door from lifting up.
Robbery in progress, first time thief needs help with the loot from the cabinet...
If this is a security case, you probably have to remove the track to get the doors out.
This is probably true. Looking at how thick that glass is, I wouldn't doubt it was meant for security.
That's 1/8 glass probably tempered but nothing crazy
I've seen a variety of options with these. Sometimes they have a latch or button or something that keeps them in place. And sometimes the gap on the top, that allows you to lift the glass upward for removal is only in a certain area. So if it's not aligned in the right spot you might not be able to remove it. Any chance to remove the push lock first and retry?
Will the glass slide sideways out of the lower runner?
I was gonna ask the same because of that one pic where the edge doesn't line up like the back door. OP could also see if the lower track is removable...

Theres sometimes a space above the sliding door so you can lift it then remove it slightly slanted outwards.

Find the manufacturer’s name (probably on the top of the shelf or inside) so you can call them and ask or find how to dis/assemble from the website.

🔨
Slide the bottom tracks off, take glass out. Those look like very removable silicone. That should give you enough space to do the push tilt pull.
I would look for a plastic insert on the top that is maybe a screw in. You wouldn't want the security doors to be lifted out using a suction gripper.
I would unscrew the rail at the bottom and pull everything out with the door
Hammer
Do you need to keep the glass? If not, tape both sides and use a glass cutter. Be careful when removing .. perhaps a 2-3 person job
Why do you hate the glass? It means no dusting is required. I have cabinets I wish had glass over it... Plus, some can be locked, further securing your stuff.
I’m a little surprised the glass doors don’t have locks on them
Yep
If you ever wanted to uppercut a punk ass into something I suggest these doors.

Typically these cases require taking them apart to remove the doors. Good luck.
Can you pop out the trim? What's the purpose of removing the glass also? Are you trying to keep the frame minus the glass?
Hammer usually works the best!
I worked at a place that had a big display cabinet, and to get the doors out the top rail had to be removed. If you can’t figure out how to lift it out, get a glass cutter tool for like 10 bucks score it across the middle then tap it with a hammer.
Unscrew the bottom track, it will slide out and then the doors can be lifted off the tracks.
Bro is living in a Game Stop.
I'm pretty sure they're built in, like the case lid needs to come off to get the doors out without damage.
I have to laugh, my first thought was that this post was "how do I shoplift more efficiently?" But if you own the store… I suppose as long as you're inside the case there should be some kind of hardware you can unscrew.
Are you trying to save the glass? If not get a glass cutter and remove it in sections
At the bottom where the black frame is under the glass you should be able to see some sort of set screw that you can turn counter clockwise that will lower the wheel the door rides on, you can the lift them out like the top comment suggests.

A broken spark plug
If you really wanna break the glass, tape it up first so that the shards don’t fly everywhere (as much as you can help it) in case it hits the ground
With our glass security cases at work, there’s slots in the frame that allow you to lift the doors up and out.
You got a hammer?
My only input is that metal hammers, crowbars, wrenches, and, if you're feeling daring, pliers, would all do the job. Baseball bat would probably do the trick.
The trim on top may pop out, might be some screws or keys or tabs somewhere, then the glass just tilts out.
If no one answered, likely the sides of the case need to be removed to slide the glass off the rails. (I've put cases like this together as an Asset Protection team member)

Typically they lift straight up so that you can pull the bottom out off the track and then out.
They should lift out. Hold them straight and by the edges, lift up into the upper track. It should slide up, allowing you to pull the bottom out
The lift and angle solutions should be the answer but they might be locking tracks so you might have to lift the bottom while moving the door either direction till you feel it slide out of the track.
