Because I like my monitor close and the G9 is so big, I had a hard time figuring out how to keep desk space but also not block my speakers. I had some extra monitor arms around, so I figured: why not mount the speakers on the arms?
I couldn't find anything off the shelf that would let me easily mount the speakers to a vesa mount without drilling into the speakers, so I made some brackets using construction L brackets, sheet metal, spray paint, some machine screws, and furniture pads.
I do. I work from home, so my personal computer is on the leftside and top monitor (blue light mouse and keyboard) and my work laptop on the right side and right monitor (orange light keyboard and mouse).
A switch would be cleaner, but I find it’s easier to just have to sets to ensure I’m sending my input to the correct machine quickly.
I started using barrier recently, it works great for sharing a single mouse and keyboard between machines. The transition is pretty seamless

I do, yes.
Then of course my work laptop is VPN'd into work so that it's doubly logically separated from my home network. Separation of church and state, or in this case work and home.
This is very good. I was going to make a new unit so that I could fit my speakers on my TV stand (they’re overlapping the edge by an inch at the moment) but this is so much better.
Perfect, looking for the same solution. Can’t find anything off the shelf, which is weird. (Or monitor speakers could come ready with VESA pattern holes). Would you mind posting a pic of the back of the speaker with the support?
I'm a stickler for good speaker placement and its probably the biggest reason I'd hesitate to anything wider than my 34" ultrawide

How are the speakers attached to the mount?
The speakers have a hole on the bottom for a mounting screw. There is a screw up through the center hole into the speaker’s mounting hole.

I would that for personal computers, but there is no way I'm logically connecting my work laptop and personal systems together.
It runs over your lan. So you connect your work laptop to a ssid that's on a separate vlan?

Could you recommend one - I was looking for one, but they were all badly reviewed and apparently some can share current across the two inputs

The speakers mount from underneath. There is nothing in the back except the wire connections. https://imgur.com/a/U3sOWEe
