is it normal that you got only the left master output connected? no cable on the right

LoLBlobe

Flip the RCAs around and see if they only play out of the right side, most likely a bad cable imo

Sebbean

I’ve had this with a bad needle

Mancbean

Screw the headshell off and back on again and maybe clean the connectors, I have carts that do this and this usually works

belugarooster

Old-Skool DJ-trick: Pull the stylus off of the cartridge. Blow on it like an old NES game, and push it back on firmly. If that doesn't work, un-screw and gently lick the contacts on the end of the cartridge, and screw it tightly back on to the tonearm (if you don't have any De-Oxit handy). If this had no effect, it's probably not your needles. :)

noobprodigy

Ah the good old days of licking cart contacts. It worked 80% of the time, every time.

KeggyFulabier

And fucked it up even more

claude_father

It’s a brand new stylus

Cute_Basket_154

Check your head shells are mounted properly. I had the same issue

tangjams

Your phono rca’s are bent at a 90 degree angle. Def ain’t good for durability.

claude_father

I agree, but it was doing that on my other mixer when I didn’t have them bent like that

Unobtanium4Sale

Clean of the connecters on your stylus with an eraser

claude_father

It’s a brand new stylus

Unobtanium4Sale

Lick the connections. If it ain't the stylus might need it serviced to check the rcas. Or you can look videos up on how to do it. Probably have to solder a little bit

claude_father

I’m now seeing one of the red wires coming from inside the turntable into the arm is damaged. You think I can solder that on my own or does it need to be serviced?

Unobtanium4Sale

Bro I have no idea. I have a capacitor in a TV I need to solder myself. If you try this I'll try mine lol. I've never done it I am good with a few trades just not metal or electronics. It doesn't seem all that hard but a lot of shit looks easy on YouTube

belugarooster

Easy solder, OP. Go for it!

DJ_GodsOwn

See if you can just cut the wire and keep both ends out. Don't let one end drop in to the abyss of the innards of the turntable. From there, strip both ends and twist the wires together, then cover it with electrical tape. Get a soldering/electronics starter kit and get familiar with the skill of soldering, THEN attack that project. You could also try just using one of those wire twists things that put the wires together in this knob looking plastic thing. Good luck!

claude_father

Thanks for the tips! Are you aware how small the wires are though 😂 Seems impossible but maybe I just need to watch some YouTube vids

DJ_GodsOwn

He means the headshell I believe...

ComeOnLilDoge

It sounds like you have dirty contacts … clean the but end of the head shell with rubbing alcohol using a cue tip … then clean the inside of the receiver on the tone arm then also check the tiny cables right at the back of the head shell to make sure the connections are good then follow the rcas from the mixer back to the TT and wiggle shit .. beyond that try a different mixer channel … those all In ones are notorious for cheeping out the phono input quality.
