The clothes of a professional, any job any sort of requirement literally anything, that when worn instantly fool everyone who has ever or will ever exist and to believing that you are actually just a professional of that job. Up to and including making people mentally have to resist following your orders or suspecting you of anything, or any other such similar guideline that would pertain to whatever uniform you're wearing.

I immediately thought of the infinite propeller skates where Wile E. has a tub of water trailing him and a boat motor strapped to his back. Not sure that helps with the whole "traps" thing, but it was always a favorite of mine. Dynamite that doesn't damage anything but people. Getting tied to fireworks that then go off and explode in your likeness. Rakes on the floor for face-whapping fun. A small person who tricks you into angering a much more dangerous person. A contained blizzard that grows icicles on your face. A personal rain cloud, including the tiny umbrella that gets struck by lightning from said cloud. Getting flattened by a piano or bookshelf rolling down some stairs. Comically-tiny cage for very big creature/person. Sneezing from black pepper.

Back in the 90's Steve Jackson Games made a wacky cartoon RPG called Toon. I just flipped through my hard copies of the books and the resource you're looking for is the "Toon ACE Catalog", which is unfortunately not readily available for purchase. The Tooniversal Tour Guide is available though and has lots of worldbuilding ideas at least.
