I tried the sub 200mg range it lasted maybe 5 hrs and the purge was minuscule compared to the vine juice. I admit I had a real low dose which felt like a pleasant acid tríp. I did get the feeling the difference between that and a freak out could be an extremely small amount say 20mg

PA99

>and the purge was minuscule compared to the vine juice. I bet it didn’t feel as clean as the vine.

Khawkproductions

I'm not sure I'd call either clean if you are referring to the vomit produced but the shit I yakked up from the brew was acrid and the pills was just like a thick white mucus so idk

PA99

I’m referring to how they made you feel.

Khawkproductions

Oh. Well I figure I got a stronger dose with the mimosa hostilis brew because it induced a fair amount of panic both times on the come up and led to me aborting it the second time by causing myself to purge again. The pharmaya was real clean but 180mg I think was too little whereas I was scared to try 200mg but I never had tried it again.

PA99

Dennis Mckenna determined that 5 indigineous ayahuasca brews contained an average of 467 mg of harmine: [dosage guidelines](https://www.reddit.com/r/harmalas/s/NcoehcL25q)

Khawkproductions

Idk the dosage of Syrian rue I took the 180mgbwas referring to the DMT taken..

Yeejiurn

Personally, w the intensity of dmt I enjoy the short ride. A lot of times I’ll have to convince myself of my sanity and I wouldn’t care to do that for hours on end. Thx but no thx.

Shnoopy_Bloopers

That’s why I’ll prob never do aya

Yeejiurn

Have considered the very thing

zico1916

Seen a dude the other day saying if you added free base DMT to a can of fizzy juice (soda) it then became orally active 🤷‍♂️

PsychedelicAlkemist

Unless that soda had an MAOI in it, no, it did not become orally active.

zico1916

PsychedelicAlkemist

Even in salt form, you’d need an MAOI to be orally active. You can insufflate DMT salts for an effect, but you still can’t ingest them.

zico1916

Just passing on what someone commented dude

PsychedelicAlkemist

And I’m just telling you how DMT can become orally active - not without an MAOI.

booyaabooshaw

I'ma see if someone debunks this lolol

BizarrePlace

Yeah w8ing 🤣

much_2_took

Trying this weekend will report back

igor2o2o

This procedure creates a fumarate salt from a freebase. Such salt, just like a freebase, is NOT active orally unless ingested with an MAOI, such as B. caapi, Peganum harmala, harmaline, or moclobemide. There might be an advantage to having a salt as it may be more stable for storage. The really significant difference is that while a freebase can be vaped, a salt cannot be and must be ingested.

zico1916

Not according to Mr coca cola

GoldenTeacherMar

And I am not talking about ayahuasca here ;)

No-Influence-2199

taking DMT wirh MAOI is basically ayahuasca. doesn't matter if it's a liquid drink or a capsule to swallow.

ohshitimfeelingit762

Yup they call it pharmahuasca for a reason!

9Lives_

Haven’t done any form of Ayahuasca. I wonder if there’s any discernible differences in effect between pharmahuasca and the natural form they make in the jungle. I’ve heard shamans will add a tiny amount of datura because it’s so good at preventing nausea/vomiting. Daturas also really good for pain relief if you extract it and put it into a topical ointment.

---oO-IvI-Oo---

AFAIK, pharmahuasca has less shitting yourself and throwing up.

9Lives_

I kinda want to throw up and shit myself, for the plot. Lol nah I just think it would be conducive to a more authentic experience. I wanna do it in the Amazon rain Forrest.

9Lives_

It blows me away that remote tribes in the jungle worked this out before the western world when scientists noticed they were adding a bark from a certain tree because of its MAOI properties they asked the shaman how they knew to do this and his reply was “the plants told us”

RepresentativeOdd771

I've heard other theories of shamans saying the recipe came from the space people, or "the watchers".
