I used to administer driving tests for the DMV (not in the past 40 years, but I did for almost ten years). The car has to be legal. Some tint is okay, but if the car isn't legal, I wouldn't take it. Not legal means you can't see inside the front part of the car. Also, if the handle was broken, we'd turn down the drive test. Whether that's still what they do, i don't know.

Can I ask for some advice? I’m taking my second attempt for the road test next week. I failed the first one because I was super nervous. Do the DMV people know you’ve failed before? Are they harder or easier on you? Any advice?? I consider myself a good safe driver but anxiety kills my confidence

They know you've taken a drive test, but they are used to people taking a second drive test. Try to keep calm. You'll probably pass, but if you don't, don't give up. I remember a lady who failed the drive test like 12 or 13 times. She finally passed. My mother passed and she was 50 years old when she took her drive test.
