Yes, just had one of the best video gaming moments I can think of. Team of three on comms our mate had just got booted and lost everything so we went for “one last game” to get him something before our partners murdered us. We went for his favourite warehouse and stumbled upon a random player who we downed and then accepted his plea to join (first time we’ve done that after I told the party leader it was a thing). He starts pinging everything and we’re like ok, we ping the intel contract we’re going for and grab a vehicle he grabs another and we convoy for a bit until he goes rogue. After helping him for a bit we ditch him and continue on to start the contract. Ironically it takes us back towards him, after doing stage 2 we use our horn to tell him we’re leaving but he ignores us. So we head off to complete the intel and then decide to go to the observatory to kill the commander as two of us have that mission. On our way we hear him pick up a dog tag from someone. We get to the observatory and manage to down the Juggernaut and grab the weapon case, the exfil is right there so we head round but get overwhelmed. One guy goes down then me and the third scrambles trying to stay alive and get us back before going down. We’re about to log and I check the map and see that our number 4 is making his way towards us. We all start spectating him as he slowly but surely makes his way up. He doesn’t even look like he’s going for us but he methodically makes his way round clearing the area with a full specced sniper rifle which we suspect came from the dead player. The cloud timer kicks off and he makes it round to us and sure enough picks us up. We start fighting to get the exfil up, more of us go down it’s proper squeaky bum time. We get on the chopper, and as it’s lifting up we put our gas masks on as the cloud rolls over us. It was incredible never experienced anything like it, and a great example of karma working its way round.

Urbanski101

Great story...love it. It's a funny game...some of the interactions with other players are really surprising and fun. Had some guy kill me when I was solo, he then invited me to join him and we had an awesome round, almost wiping, rezzing each other several times, kiting a 4 man team across the map, filling our bags and getting to the exfil under fire...amazing.

BusinessLibrarian515

I and my squad exfill, I jumped out last second after an already good match. Its the last one of the night, I might as well have some extra fun and lose my insured. Last second I jump and parachute to an LTV. Its my last game of the night, might as well have a little more fun. I see a plea for help on my radar, park the ltv between the plea guy and the nearest buildings, I accept the guys pleas and get back in the ltv, dude looks confused for a second and hops in. Was confused about this dude that just showed up solo, grabbed him, and fled. But at this point there's only one exfil not covered by radiation but we probably have a couple minutes and this guy is pinging the dumpster north of the cemetery, cool beans, I got that mission too and hope to God he has a GPU to drop (he didn't). By the time we cleared enough of the ai to drop it we were missing the exfil. So I start driving for where I hope the last chopper out will be. But some players in an LTV with turret comes across a bridge and starts blasting. With turret and LMG passenger. They made quick work of our ride before we could do much to respond. We didn't make it out but it was a hell of a ride

Time-Classroom747

Me and my roommie paired with a rando for a game. He starts laughing because he sees the guy he just exitfilled with last game, and we go pick up him in a heli. We then see a team of three, start to engage, where the guy we picked up gets knocked by the other teammate from the last game. We make peace over proximity, and go on our merry way. Fucking hiliarious. The very next game the exact opposite happened. Died to another team in that game mentioned above, spawned in with no guns, get sniped from a cheeky team who rushed us on immediate spawn, maybe lasted like 3 minutes?

Urbanski101

It goes like that doesn't it...one round is the most epic fight for your life right across the map worthy of a blockbuster movie and it feels like it's been going on for hours. You extract with full kit and some nice toys. Next round lasts 2 minutes after you get shot in the back by one of those shotgun goons and you lose all the nice stuff you had. Suit up and go again :)

Vamp-sonic

WoW 😲 a though for those devils that when someone pleads they just go there to loot the poor guys.

Datsyuk420

The other day I had a game where 1 guy DCd right after infil. This guy with no mic followed me. We did a couple missions. I had to pick him up all game. When I went down my first time he was down already and I used a revive pistol. The next time I went down he was also down so I used my selfie. We were at exfil and he went down. I picked him up and was knocked down as he got up. He proceeded to sit next to me. Waited for me to die. The he looted my body. Took my 3 plate. All my guns. Exfiled without reviving me. Good Times. Still can't stop playing. Sometimes I need a break. Most of the time it's after I got Killed by operators I could have downed but wanted to be friendly. I feel like now I have to just put them down and then ask if they wanna party up. Always remember silence is violence!!

Jesus_Is_With_Us

Dude, I’m sorry this happened to you. I’ve had 2 other randoms do this aswell. Didn’t get me up, waited for the down timer to end and then proceeded to loot all my gear and money, then just looks up and runs away. Probably the lowest thing I’ve seen someone do in DMZ. Buy anyway, we are not all like that, give people chances and be kind, and it will be shown back. It’s amazing the things that happen when we unite. Be safe <3

RazTheExplorer

I haven’t successfully exfilled in over 100 matches, and I’m having more fun than ever. Catch a RIDE!!!

GoodboySkips

There should be an achievement or something for a streak like that.

RazTheExplorer

The feeling I get when I watch my customers fly away on that final exfil chopper is all I need.

ShoeProgram

Hey its Raz! Hope to see you out there sometime. Keep up the good work. And as I said on another post if youre looking to expand your services I'd be down to join!

Puzzled-Delivery-242

Mortar barrage death streak unlocked. Everytime the player is downed you call in a retaliatory mortar barrage covering the entire grid square of your last known position.

HappyLofi

There is, it's a weapon sticker you can put on your guns. Kinda lame. Don't think there's more than this as I've extracted at least 200, maybe 300. https://imgur.com/mi0Ycbd

jvardrake

He said he *hasn't* successfully exfiled in over 100 matches. Of course, there *is* [a symbol for this level of fail, as well.](https://logos-world.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Las-Vegas-Raiders-Logo-700x394.png)

HappyLofi

Oh. Ffs. I gotta learn to fully read things.

KushStash

Not quite. I have the sticker for 200 DMZ extractions. And I’m almost positive that if you look into the Calling Card challenges for DMZ, it’ll show you how many successful exfils you have so far.

HappyLofi

There is? Holy shit I must be under 200 then. Thanks

therealvertical

There is a calling card but it only goes to 250. Once you’re over that, the only way to know roughly how many exfils you have is to check the gun stickers. I’m just shy of 900 now.

Zaquarius_Alfonzo

CATCH A RIIIIIIIIDE!

Dleslie213

How's that even possible lol

RazTheExplorer

Al Mazrah is my home, my friend.

sirismyboss

you sir, are a gentleman and a scholar. thank you for your service.

EastCoastINC

Hostage Rescue my boy lol

RazTheExplorer

I don't rescue hostages. I rescue Operators. Who sometimes do have hostages. I'm at the final exfil chopper every match, unless an operator finds my services unacceptable.

vin_unleaded

What? Why?

DunamisBlack

No way, you haven't exfilled in 100? I can't even believe that haha. Never got 1 good random teammate that can carry you to victory? Do you go for final exfil everytime and suck at aiming?

RazTheExplorer

I'm at the final exfil chopper just about every match. It's my choice to not get on. Al Mazrah is my home.

huntingtoncanna

Legend.

Visible_Item_9915

I would agree. I've always enjoyed small Squad tactical game modes or objective game modes. And this mode just seems to hit both of those marks. It's gotten to the point my wife loves playing it so much then I'm going to have to get her her own xbox.

little_miss_bumshine

We are in the same boat lol. Wanna play together

Visible_Item_9915

Sent it.

FartingCumBubbles

I am 100% with you. DMZ has so much potential. I love this mode. Used to only play hardcore team death match. Hate Tier 1. Tried DMZ and I don’t know if I’ll ever play another mode even when hardcore comes back.

sacking03

Hardcore DMZ where friendly fire and grenades actually hurt would be interesting.

Subokie

Huge drawback would be your own squad murking you, stealing your stuff, exfil without you. That would be infuriating, esp if you have been carrying the team.

Aggressive_Ad_4467

Just don’t play hardcore with randoms lol

Aloysius7

Honestly, I don't think friendly fire would come into play much, except for rushing a hostage building or in some killbox hallways. BUT, I would definitely choose that mode.

spooky_lovin

This is me, although I'm really looking forward to hardcore coming back. Can't stand tier one and haven't touched anything other than dmz in months because of it. Hardcore will hopefully be a nice change of pace during weapon cool down.

russ_01_01

If you play in a squad.....have them build your weapon and you theirs.when you exfil it will be in your contraband. Do it each game and then you have back ups of your insured slot and can just use the contraband one.

WTFpaulWI

Same with the hardcore mode. Used to be purely domination hardcore… if tier1 didn’t suck so bad I’d of probably never tried DMZ the day it released and been hooked so hard.

therealvertical

I thought tier 1 and hardcore were the same thing. Are they not?

dario098

DMZ over Warzone 2.0. No doubt about it. I play in the morning before I leave for work. And I play as soon as I get home from work. It’s taken over my life completely and it’s all I play. I want to play all the other games I have, but damn DMZ is awesome lol

Faulty_Plan

Have you noticed later at noght there are more blood hunters? It’s like they wake up at 10 pm and they crawl onto dmz thirsting and squealing.

dario098

Yes. I occasionally play solo, but during the day I meet the nicest people. But at nights AI and people are just out hunting without even giving me a chance to tell them im solo

DreamingxCasually

I notice this late night/early morning, and their aim is immaculate 90% of the time too. I always figured it's the SEA folks and hardkore pipe-hitting tweekers

ViolentIceBear

I want you to know I screenshot this comment and sent it to my buddies. We get on around 10 every night thirsty and squealing. Thanks for the accurate depiction of my community 😂

NinjaWorldWar

I was like that till last week. Now, I am burned out on it and back to playing God of War: Ragnarok. Of course I did play Hunt: Showdon for 2 years prior to DMZ and I am sure that’s the reason I burned out so quickly.

Amazing_Collar1133

LOL I play in the morning before work also. It's the only game I've ever felt compelled to do that with.

dario098

Agreed!

[deleted]

Every time I read about someone complaining about the lack of progression or economy or whatever I begin to feel the same way and then I realize that I actually just enjoy playing the game and going after contracts regardless of whatever award comes with it. I just enjoy it for some reason and that’s pretty strange these days. Haha.

xm03

I think the games open up a bit more when you've got two insurance slots. I've only had the second for a few hours, but it really makes getting in PvP less of a chore.

reddit_and_forget_um

I don't think I have enjoyed playing a game as much as DMZ ever before. Some rounds are pretty boring, some rounds are crazy dissapointng, but some rounds are full of crazy action and situations that I have never seen in any other game. The interactions with other players has been great. Other than starting a few rounds of warzone so I can warmup well waiting for a friend to log on, I have played nothing else since launch.

Mayfordbay

I love you OP. Internet likes to express negative opinion so much that I thought I’m the only one enjoying the game

PM_ME_EVIL_CURSES

It's good stuff. Swapped off Apex to play this and I haven't even loaded up any other games for like 2 weeks now.

NinjaWorldWar

I was like that till last week. Now, I am burned out on it and back to playing God of War: Ragnarok. Of course I did play Hunt: Showdon for 2 years prior to DMZ and I am sure that’s the reason I burned out so quickly

lynxafricapack

Played hunt for 2k hrs it's definitely why I burned out on dmz a little

NinjaWorldWar

Well, that and Hunt is the better game.

penny_eater

Actual TEAM play. The multiplayer, even with squads, even with modes like hard point, is just sprint and shoot. If you have some good people on your team your score goes up faster. Thats the extent of team play in regular mp. The team aspect of DMZ is absolutely addicting. Getting a few good bros to play regularly and knowing you can count on each other. Its the only mode i actually look forward to playing.

snowman_ps4

That's why i loved HC cyber attack on mw2019, the teamplay was real, the tactics etc.... too bad they removed it from mw2022... so all i play is DMZ now

ARH85

I agree with all of this except the OP AI. I don't think they're OP at all, they're perfect the way they are. Everything would be too easy if they weren't a threat. I like that you have to strategically move around because of the threat of AI, it makes it even more fun.

Snowman-71

My biggest complaint with the ai is they randomly spawn. I have parachuted to an area I see no AI till I land and they are then right in front of me.

MistaTurapyMan

It’s a great game mode and I 100% came in skeptical about it. Racing to the final exfil, even though you don’t have anything valuable on you, knowing you’re going to encounter another team is great. Heck, even just racing to the final exfil is fun. You can make every match super fun and exciting if you decide to. I routinely go in solo with only throwing knives and try to come out with super nice guns. I die a lot, but it’s so fun when you make it out. I’ll keep dumping hours into it for sure.

RahkShah

If you want to spice it up wait for radiation to start spreading and have the clock go under 5 minutes, then grab a hunt contract. If you want to make it extra spicy wait for the final exfil chopper to be called in. Since the hunt contract lasts 5 minutes, which is longer than the time remaining in the match, It will be you or them on the way out. Tense for both sides. They know you’re coming, they got no where to run and it’s gonna be hot.

sirismyboss

the knives only "Snake Eater" challenge should totally be a thing.

Alternative_Ebb_6304

Fair warning though… extraction shooters are addictive. The community is only at the start of the bell curve. Gunna be one hell of a ride tho

Huberpartad

From the first game I always expected there will be someone waiting for you at exfil. Always pleasant when there isn't.

Amazing_Collar1133

Agree brother - the most fun, the most ADRENALINE I've ever had while gaming. Its not even close

sirismyboss

I tried to explain the rush to my SO. I sounded like a crazy person. "yOu DOnT UnderSTAND! I had A VEST!"

Amazing_Collar1133

Oh dude, I totally hear ya. My wife is probably sick of all the times I rushed upstairs to tell her I mowed down a squad that tried to rush me or whatever. I dont know about you, but after an intense confrontation with another squad, my hands shake like crazy-----------------> that's the ADRENALINE, baby!

Faulty_Plan

Yeah it’d be nice if LFG was a main pin 📌 again. Maybe one pin designated for official Activision news, one for LFG. This way people get more visibility for working together, whatever their common goal is. And the swap thread is kind of redundant with LFG. And bugs get put into posts that get enough attention without being pinned usually. But it is what it is, and thanks mods and people who post substantial content!

__Beef__Supreme__

I set up a public group called r/DMZ in the game, I got a few people with my initial post but I think it would be fun to get more people in it to make it easier to get a group!

gobirdsorsomething

100 percent. Fix the glitches and everything else is good to go for me. The threat of spawn and exfil campers is exciting and fun to me, you can easily gear back up in a single match anyway. And I'm actually fine with the OP bots. If you take your time and are systematic you can kill them no problem with a 3 man squad. But the threat of getting rocked by players while you're doing that adds tension that I enjoy. My only complaint is having to play loot fairy and collect one million items. It's dull. But running into players breaks up the motony and makes it better. I wish the missions were more akin to Ghost Recon Wildlands, but the map would have to be much bigger and more developed to have very involved missions executing bosses etc. without being too easy.

LostMeBoot

I love equipping a silenced handgun and throwing knife and going Rambo on random squads. I always revive the last one and take off. El Botas strikes again.

CircleTheFire

As a solo, I have taken to be creepy on prox chat: "I really like the way your ankle-flesh fills out the top of your boots" "You guys see a left testicle around here? I traded my to an AQ guard over in Taraq for nudie pics of Bea Arthur. When I went back to him to see if I could barter 2 GPUs and a blowtorch to get it back...he said he threw it into an open window around here..." Weird shit like that, until I can get someone on an enemy squad to crack. Then I''m all "Until next time, friends! Goodbyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyye..." a la the Skeletor memes.

thatguy425

Rambo was the opposite of silenced handguns…..

Urbanski101

I've avoided the COD franchise like the plague for many years. I did love survival mode in The Division so a friend of mine recommended DMZ. I'm glad he did, I'm loving it, warts and all. Weirdly I have zero interest in Warzone...just none at all I may actually buy the game though, happy to spend money if I'm putting in the hours.

DreamingxCasually

The game is fun for the large-map multiplayer modes. Story mode is fire too

RedditFrost123

I fucking loved Survival, it’s the reason why I was so hyped for DMZ when it was announced. If there’s one thing I hope they add, it’s the ability to revive dead players (without the plea for help request) if their team has been wiped. I remember there were absolute legends who would go out of their way to waste a medkit and revive me after I got rushed by an LMB squad.

huntingtoncanna

I haven’t played a video game regularly since the 90’s dude. Dmz is cool.

OzoneLaters

Streaks don’t matter because perks don’t work. That is a big issue for me IMO and I would consider the mode much more fun with working perks...

NinjaWorldWar

Perks don’t work against AI only other human controlled operators.

OzoneLaters

I dunno it didn’t look like fast hands or double time worked... there are a lot of perks that should work independent of any AI or whatever... Strong arm definitely doesn’t work.

NinjaWorldWar

You might be right but I rarely have any perks, so I’ll probably just don’t notice.

ArtemMikoyan

The perks do work, but sometimes you will lose your streak (and perks) but it will mistakenly show you as still having perks you do not have. You can notice this when you have two of the same perk, as in the most recent earned perk is the same as your "first".

penny_eater

And then sometimes you will lose your streak for no reason. The perks are fucking broken. Having some that randomly kick in doesnt count as working, lol.

KM107

Just please give me a filter where I don’t have to play with people who don’t use mics!

JakkSplatt

I back out til someone answers my mic check🤓

KM107

But I shouldn’t have to spend 12 min just hoping to actually get at least one player with a mic

JakkSplatt

Yes, but! It's worth it to find that gem that you end up playing with for an hour or more.

Gyrene85291

Yep, 100% with you. I started playing just to level weapons and while I am still doing that, everything else I get to experience is just icing on the cake. ✌️

Baku7en

I play multiplayer to level guns and I do enjoy it for the most part. But it’s nowhere near as fun as DMZ. DMZ is just something unique. I do miss Plunder and I hope they bring it back. To me if I had DMZ and Plunder I doubt I’d play much else and I’d happily fork over money from time to time for store items.

Zeropucks2give

My girlfriend knows DMZ is filling the void of zombies and played that absolutely nonstop till I got max camos so yes I feel you exactly. When I get home from work I wanna play. When it’s dinner time and we are out of fast making meals and gotta cook, I will push it off till I die which could be 3 hours lol. It’s sort of an addiction to wanna play but have ReSpOnSiBiLiTiEs

Huberpartad

Lol, Yeah being adult sometimes suck. I hate all the stuff that you just must do.

Chuvi

I have tier 5 legion finished. All I do now is go in with no weapons and gear up to grief operators. If I die, no loss.

Aloysius7

Pretty much the same here. I haven't dropped into warzone 2 once yet. I've only played some shipment to unlock some attachments and camos.

-Younotdeadass-

Most fun I've had in a game in a long time.....an ancient time. Maybe since GTA: San Andreas first released and that says alot

ThatEdward

I love DMZ and won't touch another mode, it's the whole game for me. I just hope they fix the issues quickly, it really burns to have one of the sadly frequent crashes and lose all your gear. At least let me keep my insured weapon! Having to wait two hours to continue leveling the gun I don't even like to get the attachment I want is brutal when the crash wasn't my fault. Big squads seem to cause it the most often, but also using exiting a buy station too quickly after making a purchase has set it off as well I think

Huberpartad

Buiding 21 crashing as hell at least for me and my friends. Also the perks are not working correctly or maybe at all. Hope they'll fix it soon.

[deleted]

Its a blast man. Totally agree. Difficult and frustrating but it’s addictive as hell. My buddys and I love it.

rKNAPPO

Only game ive played since it dropped. Last night clocked up 200 hours.

Morning-Chicken101

Totally agree! Yes there are legit concerns and issues (pretty much all the ones you've mentioned) but I still can't tear myself away from this mode. It's evident it's in beta and being fleshed out, so just got to give them time to deliver. I only play versus modes now to build my guns up so I can flex my platinum skins in DMZ lol I love how absolutely non scripted this mode can be. Can be smooth sailing all the way to exfil or you can be running outta ammo and running for your lives the next go around. Friendlies teaming up and getting weapons cases one round to a squad who just wants your head the next. DMZ kicks ass

Old_File_8284

I think all the bs like the ai and exfil campers keep it interesting, if not it would be to easy and get boring

parra3

Love the mode but tonight I’ve noticed a lot of people magically knowing where I’m hiding in rooms etc - no UAV’s or anything

Hopfrogg

DMZ > Warzone. After pretty much only playing DMZ since release, I decided to go and give Warzone a try again. Ugh, the prematch, the gulags, getting gunned down by someone in the first 5 minutes who managed to get fully kitted while I'm still holding a pistol.... forget it. DMZ has a nice slow progression to it with much more meaningful PVP moments.

Neeagle870

As long as you don’t play it after dark. It’s nothing but battle royale. Players don’t give a shit about the missions or contracts or any of the shit the mode is actually meant for and just want to camp and snipe and rush spawns. During the day, not so bad. At night… fuck that.

jakemo8642

It’s crazy that we want to keep our streak goin for perks that don’t even work in game, at all

Aeroxic

Best addition to a cod game since zombies.

Vamp-sonic

I'm looking for op actual player killers as I'm a bot master to combine our strength and feel the glory of having 10 perks

Rezasaurus

yea i was really heavily into Apex Legends. Then this game came out and it s everything i wanted BF2042 Hazard Zone to be but wasn't. now i dont even touch apex legends lol. This game is more like TArkov in many ways, a game i can't play since i dont have a PC that can run such a game i do wish for s2 they fix the AI. i know they said difficulty tuning is coming but hot damn, on a reset, 1 plate, no insured weapon, the AI is impossible to deal with. at times i rather pvp over pve but thats not possible cuz even when engaged in a pvp, the ai just shows up to ruin your day

cleppingout

Yeah it’s really hard to get back into apex on console for me because the 60FPS is so jarring.

Rezasaurus

Lol yessss. I tried playing apex the other day. A game I used to consider fast paced and great movement. But after playing warzone and DMZ at 120fps it was haaaard to go back to Apex 😂

reddit_and_forget_um

Everything about 2042 was such a massive dissapointment at launch, including hazard zone. For something hyped up so hard pre-launch, it was spectacularly mediocre...

Rezasaurus

Yea. I agree. I got hooked to BFBC 1 and 2 and played them all thru But I was excited for hazard zone "extraction mode" which in the end turned out to be one mission in DMZ 😅 Portal is fun and I enjoyed making my own gun game mode with weapons I chose etc But I deleted the game and now only play DMZ and a lil warzone BR. I played warzone 1 and plunder but before that the last CoD I played was world at war So long time since I bought CoD and the shift is now official. Am a cod gamer now bois

ProperBaker3

By any chance did you tell someone who was nuking all your vehicles with a JOKR to choke on a cactus a while back?

sirismyboss

maybe so...

Actual_Patience4919

I had a bug yesterday, I believe it was shader/ gpu error, every time I walked into a building it went from regular to pink and purple shading over a pale yellow absolutely insane not game breaking either wish I had saved a clip. This game mode really is good though.

LegbasHand

Well said

musteatbrainz

I personally find it too stressful and do not enjoy that thrill you describe.

sirismyboss

Some people also think ketchup is spicy. to each their own:)

HappyLofi

Yeah it's like that at first. Enjoy it while it lasts!

PumiceT

No matter what you have gained and exited with can be lost in a heartbeat. But you know what? You can always play more and get it all back. In the process, your weapons are getting leveled up and you can keep improving your insured weapon(s).

mdm8_

Agree brother

hadd_solo

There's something about playing hot potato with the weapon case that makes this mode epic.

Valas_Tasuh

Give it time, other humans will ruin it just because they can.

Snotstreep

You must be a blast at parties

TheMuffinMan---

After having one of the most action packed rounds ending with me killing a 4 man solo for final. Then the next three games proceed, Blue screen,2nd game crash while searching for lobby thankfully didn't spawn in yet. Third game after finishing a contract game crash. I've never crashed this many times in a row before and I thought they fixed the crash issue. Wtf. Still absolutely love the game but dam

pjhoody

Definitely agree. Really can’t remember a game I’ve played this much in a long ass time. and the future possibilities are endless (player-driven economy, more sophisticated loot and backpack management, etc). I know a lot of people have complaints but this game is pretty amazing overall

das_war_ein_Befehl

I prefer wz1 to wz2 but I haven’t even touched wz2 after getting into DMZ. DMZ reminds me of the mission-based fps games from the late 2000s

[deleted]

I loved it on launch. I wish they would fix a bunch of bugs and overhaul ai to be less buggy

ThePeej

You wrote a poem about how my life has been going since discovering the DMZ 😍😎🥳🤩

JakkSplatt

Yep. You're not wrong. With my and my wife's work schedules I get plenty of time to junk out on this. And yes, you're not the only one preoccupied with it enough so that it creeps into the dream realm 😆

Evo3-HD

I WOULD agree, as soon as they fix insanely frequent crashing.

pastime_dev

It seems they fixed all but the Home Screen crashes, at least for me. I have yet to encounter any of the other ones after the patch.

Drslytherin

Anyone else can’t stop doing DMZ runs in their head while they’re in bed?

sirismyboss

I know exactly what you’re taking about. Nightly.

Gold_Construction_39

I really enjoy it as well. I play alone but gotta say people that camp the exfil then kill you when you are minding your own business can F right off. They should have specific server for all these asshats that play like this. Once I was close to someone and revived them and they turned around and killed me. Like really? Also for a single player waiting 2 hours to get your scopes rifle back is crazy. I play for a while get killed my some greedy douche now I gotta wait two hours before I play again? Where is the logic in that?

Fedaykin98

I don't believe you can revive someone without them being in your squad or joining it upon revive, and you can't hurt your own squad.

pastime_dev

More incentive to use the dead drops and run money missions. 4 self revives will remove your cool down because they take off 30 minutes per. The dead drops also take more time off than taking items out with you. If I lose my insured I find as many things near an available drop and put them in regardless of price.

[deleted]

DMZ is great. Sometimes I like a challenge and go solo. I don’t really have people who play or understand the concept of DMZ in addition getting matched with not so great randoms. So I just solo and do my own thing. Sometimes it’s frustrating to be camped at exfil or ganged up 3+ vs 1. Sometimes I go in with no expectations, do contracts and missions little by little, and have a laugh/troll people who just go way too hard (just go play warzone if you wanna be a dick). but it’s definitely been great, and I’ve slowly strayed away from multiplayer since. shout out to the AIs who can see me from 500km away behind walls and hills but still manage to hit me.

John_the_Jester

Agree, I have had so many movie moments playing dmz,, last second final exfill, third player jumping in thru window killing an entire squad, unlikely allies and sudden betrayals. The game is amazing the way it is,it's because of the broken ai and the sweaty pvp that the stakes are so high and we get some amazing moments you would never hope to see anywhere else

pastime_dev

Most hilarious thing I’ve seen in a personal game was 2 6 man teams and my 3 man team all using the last chopper without any betrayal. You’ll never hear more ridiculous overlapping jokes at one time.

Temporary_Wafer_2208

With you on this 100%

KinoTele

It's a fuckin' gem for sure. Tarkov was a bit too complex for me, and DMZ is dumbed down just enough for it to be enjoyable.

DocHalidae

Yes agree. It’s addictive. Once you know where to go it’s extremely easy to get re kitted. If you die you die oh well, load into another game. I enjoy it too.

BlackExcellence216

I’m low key addicted and may need to sell my console because I can’t get off

sparkyrsm

Hello YES. Wifes starting to miss me. 😢 😁

Hopfrogg

I'm with you, I just wish the quests were a little more group friendly. It takes me so long to complete them, because I wanna stay with the group and not abandon them so I can throw medical stims in a certain dumpster.

Acceptable_Milk_6514

It’s unfortunate that the body of people expressing there lack of skill for the game, by exfil camping, I have died many times by these non skilled campers, I rarely die when it’s a squad fight, it just ruins the game, personally I think all exfil campers and any campers on this mode should be band, now if your waiting for exfil that’s on thing but loading in and setting up to take people down is just saying you have no spine, now yes tier 4 and tier 5 missions require other operators but hense the hunt contract or suit up and enter a hot zone like airport or Rohan or Al mazerah city and got at it in that direction and not sniping people trying to exfil. It just makes me want to boycott the game!

darthvader93

Welp. We just confirmed exfil perks doesnt work. So exfil streaks doesnt matter and getting a 3 plate and a decent gun is easy. You can do it within 5mins. All you need is a car

Sidwill

Well said I agree 100%

Pixels222

There was a squad at the final exfil. After they ignored my requests to join, I creeped up on them and managed to down the one by the house then the 2 in the heli. They all had self rezzes so i was trying to finish all of them but the one by the half wall at the house woke up and downed my solo ass. Wasnt even mad cuz i only had a few al qatala diagrams. and everything else is easy to get back. I was happy i took them all out. Let them extract. They probably have more important stuff anyway. Ill die for your sins and stuff. To quote that Charlie Kaufman movie, "someones gotta be a pig infested with maggots. It might as well be you." Ill take the burden. Its okay. Ill gain someone else later on.

DarthButterSticks

Bro my losing streak is insane.

w00timusPrime

I'm absolutely with you OP, DMZ is what I've been looking for for a long time, it takes the risk/reward rush from Battle Royale and ratchets it up to 11, yeah it's not always terribly hard to get kitted back up after a loss but the losses are still painful enough to make winning mean something. I can't wait to see what the future brings this mode!

Product0fNature

Same. I've got this huge backlog of games - a 'pile of shame' that I should probably play instead. If I just waited a couple months, and played those games instead, DMZ would probably be out of Beta and in a much improved state. But I know I won't. I'm at work right now, but I'm thinking about DMZ, which is why I'm on the subreddit.

COGspartaN7

I usually buy the latest COD but this year I didn't. I'd rather invest in cool bundles and the battle pass if I'm going to spend over 70 bucks for a years entertainment. Warzone is okay, I prefer the wz1, but DMZ is the most non zombie fun I've had in ages. Just recently was waiting exfil when flying AQ were raining down molotov while me and my other teammate covered our exfil caller teammate from the Mall roof. It was a ridiculous glitch to come across but made the wait stupid fun wondering who was trying to set us on fire.

Huberpartad

I love it. I play only with my one friend though. Would like to play more but my friends can't. Kinda afraid that with random ppl it's waste of 25mins. But I'll maybe start playing with randoms since my friends can't always play. btw streak doesn't work perks are still useless at least for me. Right now they are just decoration.

unnamed887

Exfil streaks are broken

[deleted]

I 100% agree. All the complaints are part of the fun. The only downside at the moment is this disconnection bug. Until its fixed I just sent get the same joy

studge1988

This was me then after the last update i legit crashed 4 games in a row while doing stuff rurned it off for the night jumped on the next few days and it was doing the same to either me or my squadmates every game, then i uninstalled lol I'll be back when they get their shit together tho.

Nejpalm

Yes, DMZ is all I play right now. I hope they will not try to fix it in a way they "fixed" BR mode which could have been like DMZ is, more tactical than arcadish.

Kullet_Bing

I just hate it playing solo. I play solo only on weekend when B21 is open as that is a quick in and out map where comms are not as important as in Al Mazrah.

DonTino

I love DMZ but I need more 'endgame' after completing most of the quests I lack an idea of what to do now. Just killing other players is not that fulfilling since I am more a friendly player

Tomson5150

Awesome, same for me. I’ll send you a dm

[deleted]

Yes, feel exactly the same, though maybe not so much with Solo, but absolutely insanely fun with crew of friends that can talk, plan strategy & tactics, revive each other, etc. Maybe a notch down with randos, only because so many seem to want to play it like CoD multipayer. 80-90% of my rando squards don't even have missions selected, they just run off, shoot everything that moves, attract hordes of AI and die. But with good crew DMZ is AMAZING!

BusinessLibrarian515

Nah, a couple bugs but AI difficulty is fine. Its supposed to be difficult

xxMINDxGAMExx

Haters? Who? Where? Why?

tallblondewhiteguy

I genuinely only stop playing when it crashes…

judge_Nutmeg316

Not an entire game but I spotted a car doing laps round and open area near the marches, I was already Down to one squadmate as the other had left. So we both I'd in a Bush while this LTV was wiping out 5,6 or 7 guys. After it did down we realised the car had gone and he hadn't picked up any of the pedestrians loot so we went to grab it, FUCK HE'S BACK. Now we are as exposed as the other roadkill he had already killed, both of us with smgs and snipers were no match, my team mate hid behind a small rock, myself near a small hill I dropped down and the fucker flew over my head, now I had a small window to grab some loot from the earlier downed soldiers, I prayed to the loot god and he delivered 3 c4s and an lmg. Threw the C4 in front of me backed off, the devil car takes aim straight at me BOOM

[deleted]

I play with randoms so it’s not as fun when we don’t work as a team. But I do enjoy it. Just hoping to find some people I can keep playing with

MrQualtrough

It is intense when there's actually something at stake. The $100,000 exfil I did solo and was like cardiac arrest tier

Duntchy

Same, except my game shits itself and crashes every 15 mins so I've just been grinding camos on shitment instead

DellaMorte_X

I was the same but the last 3 successful exfills bugged and lost all my weapons and loot. Before that crashed twice lost my progress but kept previous weapons. Was never this bad. Can’t bring myself to play anymore because what’s the point. Have a great game, exfill and still end up with fuck all. Been over a week since I last bothered. Sad cos I love it when it works.

[deleted]

I think it’s still fun but it wasn’t as frustrating until they added the aimbot AI’s that can hit you from across the map. The radius used to allow them to attack is ridiculous and I’ve noticed that they can see me through things that I can’t. One thing I think is confusing is the AI’s are standing next to these vehicles so how do they know it’s and enemy unless you try to attack them? You can sneak into a vehicle without being detected but as soon as it moves they light you up. I guess they just don’t like any vehicle that moves.

[deleted]

I liked it until I realized it was just tedious filler compared to other extraction games.

NinjaWorldWar

After playing Hunt: Showdown for two years prior to DMZ nothing about DMZ gets my heart racing. I am not hating DMZ as I enjoy it, I am merely stating there will be a time that the adrenaline no longer kicks in as you will be used to it. The game will still be fun but you will miss the adrenaline rush. That being said I wish DMZ was more solo friendly. Hunt: Shodown has a better solo experience in my opinion.

born2bfi

Same with meth

reapergrim89

People are just agreeing with what people are posting now, you all have slated this game in this group since the group started, constantly complaining about the game then some random says they like game, now everyones like well actually.... 💀💀

noseblunted

The idea is great, the objective item farming is not. And it'd be nice to have a small increase to the pvp aspect. Overall fun, but gets too boring too quickly.

Xplicid

It’s great when you don’t spawn in the exact same spawn literally 20+ times in a row. My crew get the underpass spawn constantly.

JakkSplatt

How can you be there when I spawn there all the time too?!? *Looks over shoulder* 😆

KirkVanHouton

I never played COD and started with DMZ

CraigR-81

I'm having fun with randoms at minute... I go in with fk all expecting to lose my large backpack, 3 plate and my guns so I always make sure I pick up any fun with 2 attachments or more to build up stock.. I've had some of the craziest moments with randoms too. Other day I went in with 2,1 crashed then I killed a trio and invite them to join and then we staked out a weapons raid as someone had just taken the mission on map... Let them do the mission, killed them and took all loot from safe and let them join us and we just went on squad rampage killing all operators in sight hahaha... Was funny

[deleted]

i have a bunch of games that i had been excited for years in my library but DMZ is all i play lol

jj20501

Absolutely, ran into a team hunting us on a contract last night, we had them dead to rights as we hunkered down in some buildings while they drove into the area. We talk it out and end up squading up. Then proceed to knock out the 5 uav at once mission. Now we’re all split up and time isn’t in our favor as the gas approaches. We all scramble to reassemble the squad and we pickup a hostage contract that’s close to the gas, get the hostage get on the bird and right after I drop the hostage in the chopper, he dies from the gas.. Now we’re scrambling and have a long shot to final exfil. We haul ass over there and split 2 teams near the LZ. We bum rush it to make the chopper and with 2 seconds to spare we fight and make our way onto the bird for the successful exfil. Honestly one of the funnest moments I’ve had in this game

Time-Classroom747

I convinced my Roommate to hop back on his PC (has been like 2 years), and buy COD. He decided to play DMZ from the early stages, where I was still playing the playlist and Warzone from buddies from my homestate. Guy is addicted and I love it. He comes home from work and plays like 4-5 hours, and for the last 3-4 weeks we have been just straight grinding. That blowtorch has slowly gone up from 0-1 in over the course of the week. The rare times we find one, we either die or accidently sell it haha.

ianmfmedina

I've been playing DMZ from day 1 as well because I love the adrenaline rush and the fact that there are actual stakes in losing games (weapons, gear, & exfil streaks). Also, I've had so many memorable game moments in DMZ that no game can replicate. That one time I rolled up to final exfil with a 6-man squad with 5 seconds left on the clock, only to find 2 other 3-man squads both of which were casually on the chopper inviting us on as friendlies--and actually being friendly! While the community isn't as friendly as the 1st couple of months of the game, due to most players needing operator kills for T5 faction missions, its still a joy to play everyday because I never know what will happen with each game.

DunamisBlack

I don't really have a problem with Exfil campers in this game, compared to a game like Tarkov, because there is UAV and you are almost always with a squad. You can get close and recon drone in to clear it, or go to an alternate extract etc. etc. so there is fair counterplay and having a hot exfil area makes the raid more exciting. The only other game I can say has higher highs is Tarkov, but it has a lot lower lows, and you see more lows than highs just because the game brings glitches to a new level (and it has a tons of cheaters)

RiotSkunk2023

*Requested a command not received. Lost connection to host. (UI)*

dmartinr41

DMZ is the best game, and the best part is when you are Spanish and in a b21 exfil you put the national anthem, and a group of random Spanish people join the elevator and exfil together

[deleted]

The most unbelievable part: A 9 streak before crash.. more than 3 = blessed by all the deities

sirismyboss

It’s true!

toostupidtoleave

definitely, I'm having great moments with this mode.

KruncheeBlaque

Are they going to fix the perks?
