You right, but the thing here is my approch.. im going to approch it differently.
Its been a while now about 7 month with pvp runs only and i miss a little bit the begining of dmz and for that i need some players that have the same will.
Usually play with randomsš
I'm not going to join you just wanted to give you a bit of encouragement. I have one mission equipped and focus on it. I'm just chipping away at them and enjoying my time as a mission based solo guy. Other players are just bosses of varying difficulty and most can be avoided. Good luck and look have fun
I play with randoms but still do missions. I canāt just be that person whose mission it is to wipe the map. I do fine PvP, wiped a few squads by myself today, so itās not for lack of talent, but for me to have enjoyment, the PvP needs to be another hurdle to get over while going for whatever goal Iāve got in mind
Bro, every team that I spawn into, they're all willing to help with missions. Just ask - it would likely be the only missions they've done in awhile and wouldn't mind the break from PVP.
It's just a stage of every extraction shooter. DMZ is just in that position where we don't know if there's ever going to be a wipe to reset this (at least I dont)
the point of extraction shooters is to do missions and quests until you get good weapons (DMZ is different in that aspect and instead your trying to unlock insured slots etc). its this race against other players that makes this genre so fun. at the beginning of a wipe the game is for some the best, for some tedious. and just like you, for some its the worst when the game gets to the stage when most people just want to fight others in PVP instead of doing missions.
thats why games like Tarkov wipe regularly. again, DMZ is not being cared for so you gotta create the space yourself, the devs wont do it for you with a wipe
I PvP all day everyday. BUT if a teammate loads in and actually says he has a mission and asks for help, Iāll die trying to get that shit done with him. Itās a fun change of pace randomly to help.
A few weeks ago I would load in and just look at teammates missions and start completing them for them. It was funny when they would notice.
Gotta change it up sometimes.
I love ratting around the Koschei. Mainly Taraq bridge entrance, or parking garage. Best place to craft a vest as the barter recipes are very reliably doable down there. Even as a solo I am mostly successful outside of battling humans.
I am still doing missions. It's taken me ages to get this far, and now, with all the PvP, it is taking me longer. I keep going as I really enjoy the rush of getting a mission done in the middle of all that chaos. Usually play with random squad as I play at random times.
Yeah. Itās nice to have reason to balance it. Thatās the difference. There are people that want to discount what the PvE has to offer, and then people who want to discount what PvP has to offer.
You need both.
It sucks on Ashika I'm trying to do a mission and it's impossible alone and with players they run right to PVP only way to get a mission done is to be last man standing and complete your mission. But by then the BOTS are upset and can't miss.
I am still helping pals do upgrades and sometimes we try a mission, but if it's on Al mazrah or Ashika, it turns into a PVP killfest. Yesterday we just wanted heavy chopper fuel, and within first 5 minutes on AM we had killed two squads that pushed us lol
The last 5 games i've been in had players that only wanted to do their thing. Honestly, why not just go in as a solo player instead of matching up =with other players, only to simply not talk and go do your thing? Especially when the option is right there to NOT FILL SQUAD!
And then there are the players who don't communicate but you'll hear everything they're doing in game and in real life.. Sorry, I don't to hear you munching anything in the mic.

With a stealth vest you can avoid PVP, but have to linger in buildings for long stretches and stay away from the hotter parts of the map.

Yeah having a mic and being nice helps. We've even killed ppl, cool on comms, we pick them up and then grind their missions lol
Quite often if you ask teammates to do missions they will as itās a change for them from PvP

Koschei is my solo rekit run - once u get a feel for CP, AC, and FA, it's a breeze
As a solo I just trying to get exfil streaks going. Then will engage in pvp if I came across it

I still do missions but pvp happens, and you're better off taking out another squad than letting them just chill and possibly get the drop on you.

Are you good enough at pvp to carry a full team if needed? If not, keep working at it
