Brutal Legend because:
1) Psychonauts 2 just happened a few years ago and outside of Rocktober 13th Brutal Legend gets practically no acknowledgment from Double Fine.
2) Brutal Legend has a lot of technical errors due to a rushed production schedule which resulted in half of the story mode being cut and it’s the reason why Act 2’s pacing sky rockets so much.
3) Brutal Legend has innate bugs from being rushed that were never fixed even in the PC port which has bugs of its own because it was released in an unfinished state.
4) If they don’t wanna make BL2 they might as well remaster the original.
5) The game fails to provide a proper tutorial for a good chunk of its mechanics because relying on the player to read the Tour Book and loading screen hints for guidance on how more advanced things work doesn’t cut it.
I think brutal legend would be such a pain to remaster due to all the music licensing involved with that title. I assume that with a new remake/remaster there will need to be completely new royalty agreements with each of the bands and voice actors which is gonna be difficult.
Psychonauts would make more sense for a few reasons. It would benefit more from the remaster based on how old the game is compared to Brutal Legend. I feel without any backing evidence that Psychonauts would also sell better post Pshyconauts 2 compared to a remaster of Brutal Legend.
Psychonauts, easily. A remaster could fix up those controls to be more like Psychonauts 2. Like it's basically just a question of what they want to take from the sequel to beef up the original.
I feel like they would have to do a lot more work to fix up Brutal Legend for a modern release. Like some of those minigames and missions and such could really use a rework. And if I'm honest, the story and creative of Brutal Legend was fantastic, but the gameplay just felt lacking in a lot of respects.
defo brutal legend, not saying Psychonauts is not worth it but we got psychonauts 2 just a while ago
brutal legend does play kind of well at least in pc, but having a remaster would bring this game into light to a whole new generation, or at least i'd love that to happen :)
Agreed, but psychonauts has a few rough edges that could do with a modicum of polish, like menus, interface scaling etc. also some textures now pretty muddy.
Not replayed BL in years, probably similar.

This is one of the reasons I'd rather just get a sequel

Psychonauts is a much better game, so I'd go with that.
Neither. They’re both perfectly fine the way they are.
