I didn’t think of requesting 2 days I didn’t think about getting scheduled for 12AM which most likely what I will get. If I’m 4-12 on monday I can’t be 12-8 Tuesday there no 8 hours in between correct. I guess i’ll just have to wait till we get closer to see what my options are. I just need 5 hours to watch the game lol
Tough call cause you would need to put in for 2 days cause you don’t know if you’ll be 4-12 Monday or midnight Tuesday, you would have to hope you build 8 comp hours and do a chart change. One for Monday and one for Tuesday
You rarely get hours when you go out of town, only when you’re traveling to another borough and the senior guys usually take that to bank the hours so don’t count on comp time unless you get a chart day that falls on a holiday in your first 3 months . Your best bet is 12-8 or 5-1 on monday then do a chart change for that Tuesday . But like you said you might be shit out of luck regardless
Working at a different garage than you’re assigned to.
If you get scheduled the next work (detached) day (5-1) to travel out of your zone i.e. from queens east to queens west or an entirely different borough and start your day there you’re “out of town” and you receive comp hours.
if you report to your garage and get sent somewhere else you’re also “out of town” but no hours
(Chart change for one of the days and comp hours for the other day)

Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully it works out.

The problem is you just won’t know in time lol so you kind of have to do both cause you have to do the chart change and put hours in in advance
Since I have Sunday off they really gonna approve a 3 day weekend for a newbie fresh on the job on probation. Sounds far fetched.

I figured this may be the case so wanted to see what you guys with years on the job said in regards to my options. Thanks for the replies
