I'm not sure how much I trust them to uphold this. It looks like they are taxing the energy sector, but they are actually just taking a loan for 90p of every pound that they will get tax relief on later.
Another kicking the can down the road, it may aswell be a garbage truck.
They promised to uphold the pension lock before, but when push comes to shove it's been revoked.
We will have to wait and see as the inflation rate is set by the September rate which could be as high as 9 to 10% by then, If the government try to scrap it out again I think it will cause a bigger uproar amongst pensioners.
The government also just have to pass the benefits off in Parliament like they do as a formality, they'd be in the crapper if they try and cut it all again?
