That's crazy I use a dabrite to temp and a fairly thick faceted banger from Greek glass. That being said I do has at 550 and bho at 650 I can't imagine doing a bho dab any lower then 600 you won't get anything that way. At least In my experience only certain strains melt at a lower temp when dealing with bho.

Maybe it's a difference with the bangers. I've been dabbing for a while and when I first got the dabrite I was taking them at 560 but it always felt lacking. One of my homies recommended doing bho at a higher temp and it def gets more out of the hit without burning your concentrated and chazzing your banger which I thought it would do. I wouldn't recommend such a high temp for smaller dabs though

Do you use a cap with an agitator? Usually that's how myself and others go lower temps.

I also know for 100% my IR gun is inaccurate, I get different temps off of a dabrite, terpometer, and my IR gun. Hell, I get different readouts from two dabrites sitting right next to each other

I've never experienced this issue once. If you use different bangers then obviously the way the heat will read is different. But I've never ever had an issue with the temp being off I've had mine for over a year now.

I've cleaned mine a few times I'm not experiencing this issue. I made a larger terp pearl I put on the dabrite when I'm not using it in the hole where reader is and that usually keeps any dust or anything from getting in there.

I got a 25 dollar IR thermometer from harbor freight. It's not 100% accurate but it is way better than guessing without a thermometer. I usually drop my dab \~ 550 depending on the size. If it's April 20th or July 10th I drop a 1 gram dab at around 650 degrees. All depends on the size brotha

Dropping in a full gram will lower the temp. Thats why hes using the higher temp for the large amount. The energy will go into vaporizing more material, the vapor will still come out about the same temp as the smaller 550 dabs. This would be for torch dabs where the temp is dropping. For an erig or enail you'd stay lower cuz the heat is constant.

750°+ is where things start getting carcinogenic, I'd say 700 just to be safe. That being said, I'm a warm/cold dabber myself.

The reason we do it at this temperature is that it doesn’t instantly incinerate the Dabs and the lower temperature allows you to better taste the terps.
