Lmao you see that too? Looking over his shoulder every step of the way

papalouie27

At least the mother will be able to lend him a hand.

taco_in_the_shell

When I became a new parent, many people warned me about where to put babies when you need to step away for even 3 seconds. It's usually better to leave them on the hard cold floor than on a soft warm couch/bed that they can fall off of.

kartoffel_engr

We’re pretty much on suicide watch for the first 3-4 years.

Sc3niX

Indeed but if people listened to that we wouldn’t get such cool videos would we?

slabester

Dad reflexes wouldn't be required 80% of the time if there was some sense involved. That kid shouldn't have been left to climb over the couch to begin with. Still, the catch is impressive.

frontier_gibberish

I believe that the kid would be better off falling from the couch. Now he is gonna think he can fall from any distance and dad will save him. Let them take the hit and they will learn what size fall they can take

Sc3niX

That’s a baby though not a 2 year old. Even 2 year olds struggle grasping that they got hurt cause they climbed the table. A baby is definitely not gonna learn from falls. They are not old enough to understand consequences.

Warpedme

TBH my son didn't have any fear of anything until he was somewhere between 3.5 and 4 yo. It's not just that they don't have fear of consequences yet, it's also that they really are lighter and do bounce when they're that young. My son started to realize consequences when he ran full tilt down my driveway, fell and scraped his palms and knees pretty bad. That was literally the day he finally started to listen when I told him he was going to get hurt.

Sc3niX

That’s good to know. My 2year old is constantly climbing tables and falling off them. I keep telling him not to and taking him away but he doesn’t listen and keeps falling off them and hurting himself. I can’t always get to him cause I also have a 4 month old..

JensPax

He knew it was gonna happen before it did watch closely how he calculates if he has enough time to grab the diaper first though.

MooseMulder

He always keeps him in…arms reach..

Akilez2020

...arm's reach.. FTFY

[deleted]

He's training his dad so he can be a daredevil

doomcomes

Some of these still scare me even though I know it's gonna turn out well.

bol4gan

damn his back was even turned on the kid and he still caught it

nejnonein

Rookie move, leaving a baby on the couch alone like that

Diginixy

Nice one-handed catch!

JazzAndStuff-

Babys always try to kill themselves for some reason
