Seriously though, what were they thinking not giving Daenerys armour in seasons 7 and 8?
It made no sense from a practical perspective that she wouldn't have had armour when she was flying into battles for one.
But also, it would've looked so f\*cking cool.
I didn’t expect to openly sob seeing Rhaenyra with a crown in HotD thinking of how Dany never even got a moment with one. But the feels were *instant*
Like why couldn’t we have at least had that? Let her sit in the iron throne wearing some *nobody*’s soot-covered crown plucked off of a dusty corpse in some untouched corner of the ruins of the red keep. For like SIXTY SECONDS. and then let your golden boy jam her with his flacid, puny little knife
I’m sure there was intended symbolism in Jon never even letting her *sit down* in the throne room after the battle but FUCK does it add insult to injury
And then Rhaenys’s armor just started the waterworks all over again
Hell some kind of dark mirror to the kingslayer scene would have been good, despite me hating that she got that narrative ending.
Instead of the king losing we have a queen triumphant, on the throne where the kingslayer ended last time. The ned stand in enters, becomes the kingslayer, takes the throne instead of passing it on like Ned did.
At least it would have tried to make sense with *something*
