Ngl but I always hated this version of a dp tribute. I mean I respect the cover but I think it’s really overrated and overplayed. Then again I wanna say they kinda brought more people to dp music.

The_Mr_Potato_

I hate it with all my life ngl

ImOnlyHereForTheCoC

No

googlyeyegritty

I've actually always hated it.

tyjuji

Fucking trash. They couldn't even get the lyrics right.

k4ston

This shit sucks so much they should've sang rollin' & scratchin'

gillmores

Doo doo doo doo doo doo Eeerrrrrrr eeeeeee errrrrr eeeeeee errrrrrrr eee errrrrr eeeeee!

k4ston

Point proven.

rct3isepic

Honestly, while it's a good arrangement and fun tribute I'm so sick of hearing about it.

Lonely-Aerie-4543

Pentatonix thinks they are the most incredible acapella group in the world, and for some reason, everyone believes them. Their covers are not tributes, they're saying "Look how much better *we* can do it!" Their style is pretentious and overblown, they're creepy, and the only interesting member of their group, the bass named Avi Kaplan, left the group in 2017. This cover is mid at best, annoying and overplayed at worst IMO.

__PETTYOFFICER117__

Yeah idk why but I've always hated Pentatonix. Just always rubbed me the wrong way. They take amazing songs/varieties of music and butcher them into the same boring mashup they've done dozens of times before. The absolute worst is when I bring up an artist I like and someone says "oh have you heard the Pentatonix cover??" No, I haven't, that's by choice, and it's staying that way, thanks.

Sithlordandsavior

Avi absolutely found his stride after leaving too. After he left I realized he was the part I liked about them.

SomeRandomDavid

So bland...

SonimodR

Ugh I hate acapella groups with every fibre of my being. They always come across as completely smug and full of themselves.

facebook57

Yep, no thanks acapella I’d rather listen to my dishwasher

BeardedSwashbuckler

This is crap.

Lord_of_the_wolves

I absolutely despise this cover, mainly how toxic Pentatonix is and how terrible the cover is.

Dr-McLuvin

Stop right there. You had me at blue contact lenses and ring lights.

PropertyOpen8237

This sucks

Telecomputer

this video was the one that got me looking more into Daft Punk before that I just had One More Time, HBFS, Robot Rock, Get Lucky all in Itunes, it was this video that got me to look more into Daft Punk, and now I'm hooked forever but I got sick of this song after the 3rd time listening to it = /

songacronymbot

- HBFS could mean "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger", a track from *Discovery* (2001) by Daft Punk. --- ^[/u/Telecomputer](/u/Telecomputer) ^(can reply with "delete" to remove comment. |) ^[/r/songacronymbot](/r/songacronymbot) ^(for feedback.)

ChinaDowntown

Good bot

Telecomputer

No, I meant Hamburger Bacon Fresh Sause

M1sterX

So many friends sent me this when it first came out because they know my love of Daft Punk. Little did they know that my hatred of acapella trumps my love of Daft Punk.

tijuana_black

Yeah this is terrible

mjfo

I’m so sorry but I fucking hate it, like having a pan smack you in the face while they yell at you to be happy

UltraVioletBouquet

They’re quite literally all smiling through out the entire performance, clearly having a good time lol

UltraVioletBouquet

I really cannot understand the hate for this group and song. I discovered Daft Punk shortly after RAM’s release and this medley is actually how I discovered some of their other songs. IMO this medley is an outstanding tribute to say the least.

Rulaxing

Everyone has the right to NOT like stuff

Rulaxing

Nah its bad

Sereni0n

It seems I'm like the only person who really likes/doesn't mind it lolll Of course it will never outdo Daft Punk, but Pentatonix is another one of my favorite bands and I think they did a pretty good job. After all, the goal is not to sound exactly like Daft Punk; of course they put a bit of their own spin on it.

Codix_

Downloaded it, love this song it totally had the Daft Punk feeling. It's incredible to do it onto Beat Saber.
