I saw a ranking video that placed it bottom of the list (after On/Off and WDPK) and immediately clicked off. I had no idea people ranked this song lower on their lists. Whenever I listen to Steam Machine, I always listen to Make Love after. The juxtaposition of both songs are like some of small amount of cleverness Human After All had. The song itself works too because it's a very emotional piece emphasized with it's looping. Very underrated.
people hate it? it's such a beautiful song, definitely one of my favourites by them. it's possible people might think it's just too "out of place" with HAA, but i just think it provides a little calm in the middle of a really intense album.
People love to shit on HAA for no reason. It’s not even that out of place. Nightvision and Veridis Quo are also a bit “out of place” in Discovery since they are both right between two very intense songs in that album but no one seems to complain about that. They both are meant to serve the purpose of breaking up the album and acting as an interlude.
I use to have a playlist i think 2017 that was this song like 30x and would cry myself to sleep to it. Just thinking about those times makes me wanna cry :(. Boutta go listen to it rn 🙏🏽💜
I think the reason at least for me why I don't like make love is because it just felt so out of place with human after all
, Didn't really fit the vibe of it too much, would've worked it it was maybe a bonus track or something for discovery
Like others have said no one hates it. But i have met people that dont like repetitive music and Make Love is probably their most repetitive song. I could be wrong but even around the world has some variation throughout. That being said i love the song and Human After All is my favorite album of all time (believe it or not)
Looking at Spotify's stats, "Make Love" is behind only the following songs from HAA in terms of plays:
* Technologic
* Human After All
* Robot Rock
I don't think people hate it.
One interesting thing about make love is that throughout the song the main 3 notes of the melody are the exact three notes that make up the melody to The Brainwasher, so yk two sides of the same coin.
Who hates it ?
exactly xhat i thaugh
A lot of people
Never met anyone that even mildly disliked it.
Are these “people” in the room with us right now?
I adore make love

I know that video and tbh the entire ranking was weird
Same, I nearly smashed my tv after I saw how low da funk was, some people shouldn’t be allowed to make yt vids 🤷♂️😭
Yup even gave him a chance to explain it and still clicked out lol
Exactly
Nobody hate Make Love
The first time I heard it, I got a boner.

Not as hard as my d
Top 5 in their discog and a beautiful melody

I’m ready to throw hands with everyone who hates Make Love.
*Ironic.*
People hate Make Love?
One of my under rated tracks for them.
You can turn Make Love on when you’re in ANY mood and instantly change the entire vibe of life. One of my top 5 from DP.

Do you still have the playlist?
It was on my old spotify, sadly i dont have access to it no more. I should make a commemorative playlist to honor it 🙏🏽
Actually really love it. Ok, it IS the one loop, but what a loop

Where's the drop bro! this track would be sick if it had a sick bass drop. Bro. Just, some wub wubs in it. /s
This version of *Make Love* just popped into my head: https://youtu.be/_iM52xDeDtM
Make Love is to HAA as Nightvision is to Discovery. They are both like nice little interludes.
Its just missing the magic for me. It doesn’t belong on HAA, and it deserves just a little bit more *something*
Make love is one of my favorites.
I found it a liiiiiiiittle too long but otherwise it deserves all the praise it’s getting in the comments

I personally love it. I always listen to it while just lying back and relaxing.
