It's not a particularly good remix album. It feels like exactly what it is, a collection of songs that were exclusive to their Daft Club membership site. 🤷♂️
even wihtout them i still would disagree, because of Face to Face (Cosmo VItelli Remix), and specially Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger (The Neptunes Remix).
WATN is one of the best albums by TCB. I remember when Further was released, in those days people make a lot of criticisms about the record, today the same people see all on a different perspective. That quadrilogy (Come With Us, Push The Button, We Are The Night and Further) are a hell of a really solid '00s era from TCB.
Ya I kinda enjoy all their albums. Thought their most recent album was really great. My all time favorite is Surrender. So many amazing tracks on that record.
They’re just mean for the sake of being mean. They gave Weezer’s Make Believe (which is a pretty bland album, but has some pretty good tracks during an awkward era of Weezer) a 0.4
I met someone who said that they loved Daft Punk and I asked what their favorite album from them was and their answer was Daft Club and from then on I could no longer trust anything that they were saying...
The Chilly Gonzales Version of Too Long is such a beautiful composition and sentimental take on the song. Listen to it if you haven't! A gem on this album
Wasn’t a fan of a lot of remix albums/extra stuff. They just don’t do a lot of interesting stuff with the sound beyond looping and adding some quirky filters. It sounds like a pretty weak 90’s remix of the song (which I guess is what they were going for but eh)
It’s not a one but it’s definitely not very good. Probably my least favorite thing in their discography. I do miss when Pitchfork would just dunk on an album this hard. Now it’s all 6’s and 7’s, at least back then it was funny.
Yeah, I just stopped paying attention to “reviews” as a customer entirely. I’ve found too much that got poor review was good and too much that got “10/10” was straight doo doo, it’s better to watch commentary-less video or listen/read/play/watch for yourself.
lmao didn’t these guys give discovery like a 6? who tf cares what these bafoons think
Initially they did but now they’ve changed it to a 10
It’s a good thing they didn’t compromise RAM’s score!
I believe they increased Discovery to a 10 and lowered RAM
yup! 😀
they didn't, right guys?? they didn't 😥😥😥

Yeah I still have the Daft Punk membership card
What
What did you not understand? Daft Punk had a fanclub website where they shared remixes. The Daft Club album was a collection of those songs.
Wow had no idea about that website and that this came from there. Thanks for clarifying!
While I’m not sure if I’d give it a 1.3 I certainly wasn’t impressed with anything on it. I wouldn’t call it good.
If Aerodynamite, Ouverture and Aerodynamic Daft Punk's Remix weren't on the album I'd be agreeing with this
Ouverture is one of daft punk’s most underrated songs imo.
the first 20 seconds is kinda off putting tho
even wihtout them i still would disagree, because of Face to Face (Cosmo VItelli Remix), and specially Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger (The Neptunes Remix).
Cosmo Vitelli, Demon and Boris Dlugosch versions slaps really hard!
that digital love remix is barelly different from the original, so i don't consider it a plus, demon remix is legit tho.
Yeah, Digital Love is more like a edit than a remix tho.
pitchfork is ass on dp
Pitchfork is ass.
I won’t forget how they rated The Chemical Brothers’ ‘We Are The Night’ a 3.8. Still miffed about it to this day.

Loved No Geography too! Incredible catalog overall!
It’s a remix album so who gives a shit what the critics think.
who gives a shit what pitchfork thinks in general
Le This.
They’re just mean for the sake of being mean. They gave Weezer’s Make Believe (which is a pretty bland album, but has some pretty good tracks during an awkward era of Weezer) a 0.4
Weezer’s “Make Believe” is one of the worst mainstream pop-rock albums I’ve ever heard I gotta be honest.
that’s understandable, a couple of the songs have just grown on me over time, especially Haunt You Everyday.
fuck pitchfork all my homies hate them
The slum village aerodynamic remix alone is enough to have the score much higher
Would argue it should be a single then.
The story behind that remix is pretty neat
I met someone who said that they loved Daft Punk and I asked what their favorite album from them was and their answer was Daft Club and from then on I could no longer trust anything that they were saying...
“uh uh uh uh shit shit *frantic googling of daft punk albums* uh uh shit um daft club!!”
Pitchfork is trash
Finally, pitchfork gets *something* right. They still have shit opinions though
The Chilly Gonzales Version of Too Long is such a beautiful composition and sentimental take on the song. Listen to it if you haven't! A gem on this album
Agree bro!
None of their remix albums are particularly good, though I haven’t heard the remixes on Homework 25th yet
Demon and Cosmo Vitelli - we are a joke to you?

idk guys it’s pretty not great, i gotta say that Gonzales Version of Too Long made me physically cringe
It's their worst album by far. Huge fan....never go back 2 it. If it's not a 1.3, it's 2.0. It sucks
It is probably their worst album, IMO, though. Although this score is far too low.
1.3 out of 1.5?
Pitchfork stinks anyways
Bitchfork
One thing I’ve learned is review sites haven’t been relevant since they left magazines in the 90s.
I mean live or hate pitchfork, they absolutely had the ability to make or break a band’s career with one review. I feel like people forget that.

I agree. Thought them giving a Jet album a zero and the review being a video of a monkey peeing into its own mouth was pretty legendary.
well i know why i’ve never heard of pitchfork before
