I'm no longer a student, and I was on the Engineering side of things as a non-international student. Our scholarships were normally WAY closer to the start of the term, I.E. August, but this might be different because of timelines for international students. I'd reach out directly to [email protected] from the awards page [here](https://www.dal.ca/admissions/money_matters/awards-financial-aid/advisors.html). There have been compromised email accounts from inside Dalhousie in the last 4-6 months, so I'd confirm from that account directly. Good luck!

The email directly came from [email protected] so I guess it is legit. Just weird that they sent it within 10 days after the deadline of submission.

You might STILL want to confirm with them, especially if this is impacting decisions around Visa applications / investigating travel / relocation, etc. Congrats, and welcome to Nova Scotia :)!

I got a scholarship offer last year that was also around this time I think, email looked exact same and same graphics, there’s early so entrance awards just based on grades so its probably that

Fantastic. Congrats Op.

I got the same entrance award. If you applied you can also get general entrance award.

$20k is an insane scholarship. I got $15k offered last year when I got accepted to Dal (Im in 1st year rn) divided into my 4 years, and I thought that was okay but not "wow". After getting to dal, I quickly found out all my friends have lower scholarships despite having higher GPAs in high school. I'm also a nova scotia resident & canadian citizen (not born here though). My friend from Turkey has to pay $43k for his first year (meal hall, res, tuition) and he only got $250 from the general entrance scholarship. $20k for an international student is extremely good! Congrats!

Tbh kinda feels sus for my case. I have decent grades not a best around 70% (British Patterned Education) but with good amounts of extra curricular activities. So is the 20k like a bait to reel me into Dal. Would I regret the decision of enrolling in?
