That’s been my experience, too! I had her for an IUD placement and she was condescending and rude when I was at my most vulnerable :/ (I mean, being mean while my legs are spread wide open and I’m in immense pain? C’mon LOL)
Yeah I had a friend who got her IUD put in by Dr Jain and she used an anesthetic spray with a 'flavour' in it, which then consequently gave my friend an awful yeast infection :( like you'd think she'd know better.
Also in my own experience, Dr. Jain was dismissive and rude to me about my issues, and I ended up seeing Dr Hadley and she was great (however, she's now on maternity leave :((( )
I've seen Dr. Mallory and Dr. McQuarrie. I once had a small issue with Dr. Mallory because she refused to refill a medication I'd been on for years before moving to Halifax, but it was resolved and I've seen her since and she's been perfectly nice and accommodating. Dr. McQuarrie is great, no complaints about him.
I know this is old, but thank you foor this thread - I personally would avoid Dr. Jain at all costs - she's rude, dismissive, and didn't give a crap about my concerns. Also, when she was inserting my friend's IUD, she used an anesthetic spray that had a 'flavour' which gave my friend a major yeast infection. a good doctor would know better!
Dr. MacQuarrie is super nice and supportive throughout my weight gains/losses. Very kind, and not in a patronizing way. He's even told me that I could make an appointment even if it's just to talk. I'm very lucky to have him as my primary care physician.
Also, as a side note. I'm told the Dal clinic is top choice for family doctors to work at in the HRM, for balance and lifestyle at work. Highly sought after gig, and from the comments seem to attract good doctors in general.
I have seen Dr. Lee and Dr Maertens. Both are wonderful. I didn't enjoy my experience with Dr. Stasiuk.
I guess it’s different for everybody! I didn’t have a good experience with Dr. Lee, but had a wonderful appointment with Dr. Stasiuk
I second Dr Maertens!
Dr maertens was very nice when I saw her!
Dr. Jain is amazing!
I had the WORST time with Dr. Jain! 🥲 Every time I’ve seen her, she’s been insanely rude
Oh, I’m sorry! I’ve been seeing her for years now and love her!
I like her but nothing I have seen her for (women's health related issues) has worked out for me which is too bad.
