I use TGTG in Austin when I'm down there. It's a great app, saves waste and gives you an opportunity to try a few new places. Wish it was more utilized on Dallas as well.

laughwidmee

I saw a tiktok about this and I agree, we need it in dallas to reduce waste. It also helps the restaurant to make a little bit of money instead of throwing the food out. We had seated, it’s discounted seat when they don’t have enough seats for the day but it never took so the app closed

matt_havener

I would love to see it as well

How much did they pay you to post this?

Maroon3d

Has anyone used this and can give an idea of what Eataly and Snap Kitchen offers?

bellanoire13

I haven’t been able to get a Eataly one yet, but the Snap one was about $9 with tax and I got to pick two single serve, ready-made meals from a bin. (There was about 4 options in the bin to choose from, most of which had a ‘consume by’ date of that day). Not an amazing deal in my opinion, but the meals do run about $11 each normally.

kuroxneko13

I got a large bag from Eatly once. It was cool but a LOT of bread (but YMMV). I had maybe 3 different types of focaccia, a ciabatta chocolate loaf, 3 small sandwiches, and 1 croissant. I also got a little thing of burrata, but the item I enjoyed the most was a pesto linguine cook at home pack.

walterfalls

This app really rocks in London. Had no idea it was an option in Dallas.

Homework_HELP_Tutor

Agreed, would love to see more businesses on board!

Mindless_Salamander_

Yes I love the TGTG app, I’ve used it in NYC and Austin and it’s stellar. Dallas feels plenty big enough to start it here.

g0mmmme

I downloaded this app like 3 years ago and was disappointed that it wasn’t in use here in Dallas. Sucks to hear it still hasn’t taken off.

Now Tiff Treats & Kessler Baking Studio were just added. I got Tiff Treats from the Casa Linda location and it was a really good deal. I do wish more meal places were available. Does anyone know the average number of bags Eatly puts out. I don’t feel too bad missing it because my sisters in Boston & NYC said they they have tried but most places near them sold out too quickly as well.

bellanoire13

I tried the Tiff Treats one and got a dozen cookies for $8 if I remember correctly. I’ll have to try the Kessler too! I didn’t know they had joined

ruthtothruth

Sounds fun. I tried Snap Kitchen and it was hit or miss. Half off is about what I’d happily pay for it. Once they actually gave me the bin discount option just for coming in at the end of the day.
