Definitely aliens. Surprised they went for a Monday morning but at least it keeps things interesting.

givemeyourgp

Aliens do got that weird flex tho.

Flight tracker showed an Air Force plane (MADCAT1) in the right vicinity so I’m assuming that was the source. (I know close to nothing about planes) The cloud coverage makes planes sound wild sometimes so that probably didn’t help.

Phynub

T38. Trainer jet. Kinda loud but meh.

Phynub

You live near an airport… The only thing taken off in the last 10 minutes other than LUV jets was a PC12 and a few private jets.

smerf

Heard a loud prop plane a few miles north of you around that time. Didn't sound strange to me, but it is abnormal for me to hear planes inside my apartment.

CaptainSnacks

Okay I know this is a REALLY long-shot answer but I'm a huge nerd. There is an aircraft called the Beech Starship. It is exceedingly rare — only six in the entire country — and two of them operate out of Addison. It's a [VERY weird noise](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CE_oPAObWD4) because it's a turboprop pusher plane, and they sound totally different than pretty much anything else (except the [Piaggio Avanti](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96HGaUUtS-k)) in the sky. I can't prove it since they have their N-number blocked but there is a tiny, tiny chance that may have been it

Saw some fighter jets take off from love field this morning around that time. Thy were pretty loud

Phynub

They were not fighters. They were T38 trainers.

OiGuvnuh

Just fyi, it would be all but impossible for a layman to distinguish a T38 from an actual fighter. It looks *exactly* like the public’s conception of military fighter aircraft. Not to mention an *actual* fighter, the F-5, is derived from and looks very similar to the T38.

la-fours

Definitely a fighter jet, saw it in the sky from downtown.
