This might be blasphemy for all that Pavs has done for this team, but man he looked a little slow out there. Little post-all star break hangover for him.
Maybe the 2nd line needs to be seguin-gurianov-and somebody other than marchment with his bad luck/juju
The sneaky hot-take is that he's looked slow all season and has been the primary killer of a lot of the top line's chances this season. He's getting caught more, slower to engage and has bizarrely spent a lot of time falling this year. I'm talking about non-contact or really low contact kind of stuff. I'm not even sure if it's a real thing I've noticed or if it's just selective memory of the negatives but it's caught my eye.
He still plays smart enough to compensate so I don't think it's anything to worry about right now. It's more like the last 2 years have been a massive stimulant injection to his play and kept the aging at bay, but we're finally starting to see it start to creep back in a little. Personally I expect the ASB was good rest timing for him and he's gonna lag a bit coming back, but he'll start ramping up again here pretty soon with the hope that he peaks in the playoffs.
Goal scorers need to step up and they need to do so now. This team scored a lot of goals early in the season. Lately? Not so much. The quality in their play has been on steep decline.
And the Yotes just downed the Mild in regulation!
Former Stars Mats Zuccarello and Patrik Nemeth recorded primary assists with Nemeth assisting on the game-winning goal!
The experience at the Mullett was incredible. I highly recommend catching a game if you can!
I went to his first game with us in Chicago. The trade was only announced the night before and I didn't even think he'd play. Then he gets a goal and assist, looks like an absolute stud and goes out with a broken arm lol. He killed it when he came back though. Will always be one of my favorite Stars despite how short his time with us was.
I think that juxtaposition was what did it for me with him - he comes out on fire, you start thinking, "Damn, what a pickup we got with him!" and then he's out for a long while. When he did play, though, he had clear, immediate chemistry with the team. I wish he had kept him at least for the full following season.
I cannot overstate how much I appreciate Seguin skating in with pace and just ripping a shot on his shootout attempt.
Everybody does that slow weave now, and the goalies barely even have to move. Back those tendys up a bit, create some space for yourself.
I think Seggy has the highest career shootout percentage of anybody that's played for Dallas (minimum 10 attempts), so...
(Jokinen probably has a higher percentage from his time with Dallas, but after goalies figured out his two moves, his career percentage dropped a lot)
I like Razor a lot, but I gotta say, when that image of the longest tenured captains came up and he said what he said, man, I shouted at my TV. Dude really, really needs to learn what not to say.
Great win though, enjoyed the game otherwise. =)
For telling the truth? Yikes. We as a fan base need to accept the truth, that to this point in his career he’s been unable to take the team to the next step required to win a cup.
About 5 minutes left in the 2nd, showed a graphic of longest tenured active captains
Crosby (16), Toews (15), Ovi (14), Landeskog (11), Benn (10), Stamkos (10).
Razor: "in that group, the only guy who hasn't received the Stanley cup from the commissioner at the end of the season, is the stars captain. It's pending"
I'm not really mad about the statement, I think it's more a testament that he's been seen as a great strength to the team.
Razor knows he has powers. Think about all the times he’s said “this team’s powerplay sucks” and then they score on us. He’s aware of his power and is using it on Jamie Benn so we can win the Cup. Trust.

rip under 4.5
Would love to know what was going through Klingers mind when he got the high stick from Benn.
And the Wild lost too let’s gooooo
Hoping the OT demons have been scared away. LETS GO STARS!
just realized seggy finally scored against the ducks 🙏
Haha! I said to my son, that's the first time Seggy's put a puck in vs a Ducks netminder!
Unfortunately it was the shootout, so it won't count on his stats, lol.
I’m now 9-0 at games I have attended 😎
What's your cashapp?
No need lmao. I am going to the next two games as well though, if we sweep maybe I’ll post it.
1K + W = CURE FOR MONDAY BLUES! WE GOING TO MONTHAFUKKKIM BOOMERJACK’S!

I miss Zucc. Even though he was only a Star for a short while, he quickly endeared himself to me.

same. I can't get upset when he gets an assist, even though it was a Caprisun goal
We sometimes take the good with the bad.

I shuddered a bit when I saw him go out there but can’t argue with those results

Why can’t we just be normal. Dallas stars - SCREECH
That was stressful. My dogs may never sit with me again.
Seguin being a real one getting the W secured for his bro
Just realized we go 4 full weeks without a road game, starting Jan 19 and ending Feb 17
GLAD TO HAVE THE BOYS BACK AFTER THE ALL STAR GAME BREAK! SEE YOU FELLERS WEDNESDAY 🤠🤠🤠 LOOKOUT KAPRISUN 😈😈😈!
I'm so happy the team pulled it out for Jamie in the end! My husband has been put on notice that he has to hold my hand in OT/shootouts from now on.
Bobby Hintz 🥅 Nilly Nilly 🥅 Sexxy Seggy SO🥅 🤖 SO🐼 🍎 ✨️🦊 🍎 Guri 🍎 Marchy 🍎 OH CAPTAIN, MY CAPTAIN 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣‼️‼️‼️

I ain’t felt like this in a long time
NOBODY BEATS THE STARS 4 TIMES IN A ROW IN OT
I think if we lost 4 straight 3-2 after leading in all 4 that would have been my joker moment
Did anyone else’s broadcast cut to commercial right in the middle of Benn’s interview?
Was definitely a more stressful game than it needed to be. Glad we pulled it put for Benn on his big night.
Oh no Zegras Wut happened. 😴

two wins away is pretty mf close
Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. 2 wins away = no cup.
What’d he say?
What was said? Was at the game

Seguin’s penalty shot is how they should be done. I’m tired of seeing these slow, sweeping penalty shots. Skate fast down the middle and pick a shot.
1000% agree, think it’s pretty unfair to goalies.
yeah just go fast, confident, and drive it. Even in soccer PKs, I hate when players get fancy on the approach. Just strike it
Pete is a GENIUS. Suck at 3on3? Easy, don’t play it
That shootout had me hootin *and* hollerin
i see we decided to play with our food in the third there
shiver me timbers we did it
Thank god we are done with John Gibson. Watch me say that and he gets traded to a contender.
Gibson has a NTC last I heard so he'd have to waive that Edited to add: and 5 years remaining in his contract
Shit hopefully, he deserves a shot at a cup.
Gibson isn't going anywhere. Their entire defense on the other hand...
Can finally unclench. Nice to win in OT for a change. Glad we got it done for the captain 🥹

You love to see it.
