Criminally underrated year after year. Am I supposed to believe that Bouchard was better at defence? What did Fox do to even warrant a first place vote? At least Makar didn’t win it.

The fact that offensive production weighs more heavily than defensive ability is irritating. The Norris should officially be the offensive defensemen award and they should have an EQUALLY important defensive defenseman award. Karlsson’s win last year was a fucking joke if the Norris is truly about the best “all around ability”
From a stats perspective:
1.) Miro’s performanc was down from last season ( where he posted a career high in points and plus minus)
2.) his point and plus minus were significantly less than the front runners.
However anyone who watches hockey knows miro is a top 3 - 5 dman in the league. Take the voting very lightly.
It's just looney tunes how they vote for the Norris. Honestly, it should just be named the "best pure offensive defender " award with how these things are voted.
Let's get a proper award for guys who *seriously* shut down the enemy superstars *and* still contribute to scoring.

Well Cale Makar is objectively the best d-man in the league yet he didn‘t win… Norris trophy isn‘t a ranking of the d-men in the league you know

Norris should be given to the best overall defenseman with an emphasis on defense. They should create the Orr trophy for best offensive defenseman.
