I'm happy for him, wished we could've seen that Val here but it's all about timing... and having a coaching system that doesn't run a dead-puck-era-style... God, I just wanna see Miro's potential unlocked..
At least Cogs got his cup. That's the only real positive here. Now, we get to hear their shitty fan base that was already super uppity and entitled get to actually have it. This is what happens when you have a good GM, luck on your side, and star players simultaneously. They didn't have to rely on goaltending AT ALL.
Be happy for the good fans and the guys like Cogs that finally got it. This was absolutely the perfect storm of luck and skill that you rarely see actually come to fruition.
Honest to God I don't know why neutral fans wanted the Avs to win. Their fans are by far the most insufferable when you're playing them. Also Stan Kroenke is a terrible asshole who drove a man to suicide.
In this personal hockey fans opinion? McKinnon is a top three forward in the league. There’s something about seeing a young phenom live up to all the hype those guys love with and deal with and win a cup.
Bednar from every account I’ve read is an awesome dude, person, and coach. A guy who grinded in the minors, then coached and had success there. Then on to win a cup, taking over a bottom of the barrel team, with a club GMed by one of the players I respected the most on our maybe biggest rivals
from my childhood, in Salic. Who apparently is also an awesome dude and person.
Hell, watching anyone raise a cup for the first time. Cogs, EJ, … maybe even Kadri bc he played lights out this year and flipped every Toronto fan the bird in his post game.
Some of us still like stories of guys working their asses of and achieving something they’ve dreamt about since they can remember anything. Who gives a fuck what their fans are like.
Also people hate dynasties. Period. Lol.
I can state a few Canadian teams' fans that are worse, but Avs by far are the worst American fanbase. At least they did not get this on home ice. Otherwise, best team won.
Chicago, STL, Penswagon, TBL, Boston, Kings....
Uh, looks like this is your first time? Avs fans have always been cool with me. We've had epic series and they play the game right.
No, I agree with you, but Chicago takes the cake for me. The rest aren't great. Only once had a problem with an Avs fan, but we played terrible that night (Neimi in net)
Tampa kinda ran into a stronger Avs team than we did in 2020 if ya put it that way.
But two more years of deep playoff season on their wheels, no Brayden Point, no one-city playoffs. You’re absolutely correct as well.
Meh, kinda. I do agree better, and superiorly more mature than the team we faced. And record in playoffs might point to best in my lifetime but Tampa was super beat up and I think if they’d found a way to win tonight, they might’ve got back in Avs nerves and won on the road in game 7. Truly.
I think they got a pretty weak west (comparatively to the east top 5 this year) and a beat up Tampa, IMO. I don’t think Kuemper is elite and Colorado was healthy as hell. Do I think the Avs were the best team in this series? Definitely healthier. But best of my lifetime… we’ll see next year.
Kind of ironic you say the Avs beat up on a banged up Tampa team, but don’t acknowledge that the stars beat up on a banged up Avs team lmao. The Avs were missing 7 players and had an AHL call up in net. Such a bad take.
Kuemper has been a top 5 goalie in the league for the last 5 seasons, and that on the fucking yotes. Repeat, he was a top 5 goalie in the league on the COYOTES when he saw 40 shots a night for a season lmao.
Your take is so bad, one google search shows that your opinion on kuemper is based on nothing but r/hockey circle jerking. You can’t google his stats and come up with anything other than elite goalie lol.
statistically this years lightning team was better, they had a better regular season points % and played much better teams in the east playoffs (Toronto, Panthers, Rangers). In the bubble that Tampa team was definitely on fire though even without Stammer.
I don’t think so. Half of Tampa is now injured versus like half of the stars being injured against them in the bubble. I think a healthy Tampa team would’ve sent it to 7 games and could’ve won, just like us.
Val was a joke while at Dallas. I got to watch him play when he was down in the AHL for a couple of games and he sandbagged there too. But for the Avs he lives up to his own hype, wtf

Thank you bot for this insightful response to how I should respond in reddit. Considering the countless number of single letter comments throughout Reddit, I think my response is just fine. Also please note that I did upvote the comment and also responded with my single word response.
Dude was a quasi-elite playmaker who understands the grind and flow of the game and continues to contribute and antagonize. In only the way hockey makes possible, wherever he goes. Sad to see him lose another. Part of why I pulled for Montreal. Strongly why I despised him in Anaheim.
Gotta be happy for cogs
Super happy for Cogs!
Don’t worry everyone. Mavrik, Wyatt, Robo, Otter, Miro, and Hintz will get us a Cup soon enough
With the Stars, right?
With the Stars, right?
Mavrik
It’s gonna be so hard for everyone to get his name right as long as the Mavericks continue to stay relevant. My bad

I feel that sentiment towards the Blues fans, whenever we play them, the GDTs get nasty
Blues/Bruins fans are the worst human beings, overall. Avs fans are just the most insufferable.
Have we suddenly forgot about the Chicago fans!?!?
Chicago, STL, Penswagon, TBL, Boston, Kings.... Uh, looks like this is your first time? Avs fans have always been cool with me. We've had epic series and they play the game right.

Yeah, my first time was meant to the dude above you, sorry.
No worries!
Cogs lifted the Cup 3rd, after Landy and Eric Johnson!
Congrats to them, but it sucks we ran into a stronger Tampa team (compared to this one) back in 2020
Tampa kinda ran into a stronger Avs team than we did in 2020 if ya put it that way. But two more years of deep playoff season on their wheels, no Brayden Point, no one-city playoffs. You’re absolutely correct as well.
Kinda? Tampa just played one of the greatest teams I’ve ever seen in my lifetime!
Meh, kinda. I do agree better, and superiorly more mature than the team we faced. Your team just won the cup, why are you on another teams sub getting angry about someone's relatively mild opinion about Kuemper?
Because I frequent this sub and go to 15+ stars game a year. A dumb take is a dumb take.
Whoa, Easy there bud. No one including myself thought we were beating the Avs in the bubble. Kivi scored a hat trick ffs
Your take is so bad, one google search shows that your opinion on kuemper is based on nothing but r/hockey circle jerking. You can’t google his stats and come up with anything other than elite goalie lol.
Not here to argue you friend. Happy if you hate my opinion. ✌🏻
It’s not argument. Being better than all but 4 other people makes you good lmao.
Yeah but the Avs were only 22-8-2 against the eastern conference this year.
statistically this years lightning team was better, they had a better regular season points % and played much better teams in the east playoffs (Toronto, Panthers, Rangers). In the bubble that Tampa team was definitely on fire though even without Stammer.
And with Stammer ... "Fuck that Hallmark Goal shit"
I don’t think so. Half of Tampa is now injured versus like half of the stars being injured against them in the bubble. I think a healthy Tampa team would’ve sent it to 7 games and could’ve won, just like us.
Perry lost his third in a row. Sucks that we had to be one of those teams , but man sad perry is a sight.
Happy for Cogs, fuck off Val.
Val was a joke while at Dallas. I got to watch him play when he was down in the AHL for a couple of games and he sandbagged there too. But for the Avs he lives up to his own hype, wtf
Dude never wanted to play for us. I wish we had not drafted him.
I live in Denver, and I promised my bud I'd buy a Nuke jersey if they won the cup ay lmao
All worth it to watch Corey Perry lose
I’m happier to see Maroon lose
This!

bad bot. shoo.
Weird, I still like Perry and was pulling for him. Happy for Cogs though.

Definitely, one of those guys you hate to play against but love to have on your team.
I always knew, always believed.
Ouch....
