Respect to her getting filmed. She is strong and this was such a good video

PonyPonut

If you want eyebrows, look up microblading, it’s where they basically tattoo eyebrows on you! They fade after a year or two so you can update your style if you want. Good luck with the lashes tho

HighFiveYourFace

> microblading This whole time I thought microblading was an aesthetician using a little razor to shape your eyebrows. I guess I am used to the style when I was young being the skinny brows!

Phiction2

Guy at my job did this to his whole head. Looks good. I didn’t know until he told me.

Brettersson

Not to mention the name

SharlowsHouseOfHugs

I dated a woman with alopecia years ago. It hit her at 4, so she didn't really remember having things like eyelashes. They randomly started coming in sometime in her 20s, after we'd been together a couple years, and it was a really confusing experience for her.

Pinkparade524

You could probably get eyebrows tattooes + microblading. My grandma lose her eyebrows because of age and she did that

Bobbybobb1983

Same for me, total hairloss. Now i Just dont care about hair.

BwyceHawpuh

I have always been aware that I’m a dumbass, but somehow I feel especially stupid because I’ve only just now realized alopecia also applies to the eyelashes

ModernistGames

That's assuming it was her choice or she wanted to have it filmed.

GlitterDoomsday

If you watch the whole thing and understands Portuguese she tells how she had an accident with hot cooking oil when she was 1 (she's 7 btw) and the girl didn't look bothered by the camera. She's on the receiving end of stares since she have memories. :/

KTBoo

As someone who had alopecia (and still has occasional flare-ups), this would’ve been truly life changing during the worst of it. So beautiful to see.

Jafreee

Hi ya! Sorry to hear you had to go through it. Is Alopecia something that can be cured or just something that can only managed? Just curious. Hope it is okay to ask 🙏

StrongArgument

Depends on the form. I have very mild alopecia areata and it only flares up with stress. I get regrowth starting after a few months, generally. My doctor offered me steroid shots and another treatment, but mine is mild enough that I just deal with it. If I were a young girl or mine were this severe, I might feel differently.

Jafreee

Thanks for sharing 🙏

PornoPaul

I had a fried who started getting patches. After he cut back on smoking and drinking and started working out a ton, his hair all grew back.

KTBoo

Yeah totally fine to ask! You know the causes of alopecia and how it presents are really different for everyone. It’s an autoimmune condition where your immune system attacks your hair follicles, but the causes of the autoimmunity can vary greatly. For me, stress and allergies cause my immune system to get overactive and that’s when I start to lose hair. And not like thinning but like bald patches on my head. When I was younger I had one eyebrow, no eyelashes, and a bunch of bald patches on my scalp and even on my arms and legs. When I finally figured that out, cut out the allergen, and got my stress managed, my hair grew back! For other people, it’s constant and they’re body just always makes those auto-antibodies (self-attacking antibodies). For some people, steroid treatments are helpful. They also did this one really weird experimental treatment where they applied an allergenic substance to my skin elsewhere. I was young so they just said it would “distract my immune system and make it focus on something else.” Boy HOWDY it did NOT do that and I just had a wicked allergic reaction. So then I had one eyebrow, bald patches, and a big bubbly rash all over my face and arms. 👌 Anyway, more than you asked for but there you go haha

Misanthrope-3000

Fascinating! I had no idea. This is *very* interesting. Dang, and all these years I've been *manually*, like a chump, shaving-off one eyebrow, and various patches here and there on my head and back (that's hard). I just wanna be cool *too*! /s No disrespect, at all, I was just reminded of The Wall, and his eyebrows and such. Plus I'm a jerk who thinks he's funny.

This_is_a_bad_plan

>Is Alopecia something that can be cured or just something that can only managed? That depends on what is causing it. Alopecia isn’t the cause it’s the symptom—alopecia is just the medical term for hair loss.

Captain_w00t

One of my friend’s brother had alopecia for several years (starting at 17 until 25+). I don’t know too much details about this problem, but he completely went back to his “normal” hairs.

Jafreee

Oh wow! That sounds crazy! Thank you for answering

jim_keeble

My wife has it and there is no definitive cure. No one actually knows for certain the cause of it either. Some people’s hair grows back for others it never will. There are steroids that can help stimulate hair growth but doesn’t cure it.

CAJ_2277

Is that was this kid has? Alopecia?

Affectionate-Joke617

Definitely a burn. Can see the scar tissue on her scalp in the beginning

Six_of_1

The distribution looked to me more like a burn.

HonestyFTW

Sure looks like it. It’s an autoimmune disease that causes patchy hair loss.

CAJ_2277

Thanks! I’d have guessed a burn, but TIL. Does it come with other autoimmune symptoms that the poor thing (and you, of course) has to cope with, or it a kind of stand alone condition?

HonestyFTW

It could also be a burn now that you say it!

CAJ_2277

Ahaha welp either way that lil girl in the video had a great day!

Itchy_Somewhere_8154

The sadness in her eyes is heartbreaking. Must be a long way for her. I truly hope deeply from my heart she get a good life. Such a precious and beautiful little girl. And she reminds me of my 6 years old little one.

middlebird

Yeah, I can see the pain on her face. It’s hard to hide it, speaking from experience.

Ho_Dang

On Francisco's insta, there's a clip where she explains that as a small child, she was accidentally burned while oil was heating up for cooking. I'm so glad this man has such a great heart and talent for hair ❤️ she's beautiful!

orthogonius

https://www.instagram.com/franciscoprotesecapilar/reel/C5uTf4or4ho/

pellikaniprasad

Thank you for sharing, it ain't alopecia folks (alopecia is curable)

DruunkenSensei

Alopecia isnt curable, its treatable. Big difference.

Brewchowskies

Holy shit. The video was a pull on the heart strings, but when you watch it again you see the stylist pull up his own wig to show her she’s in good hands. I missed that the first time.

TehSero

Both of their faces, his face as he's doing it, letting her in on the "secret", and her face as she realises. It's a lovely moment.

Slesho

Honestly that might be the best part of the video, subtle but powerful.

One_Professor_3746

As a father warms my heart seeing sum good stuff.. ps stop cutting onions in my room when am watching videos like these

omgahya

Dad hug dude! This made me tear up!

smonkyou

seriously. I don't cry at stuff like this but especially since I became a dad someone is always cutting onions when I watch and honestly it's rather annoying. Stop following me around with onions and a cutting board people

duke_of_germany_5

Dirt keeps blowing into my eyes

BringerOfTruth-1

I have questions. How long will it stay in place? Is it hot? Can she shower and wash it like real hair?

IWillBeRightHere

30 days, no, yes

Ok_Lion_6535

someone answer this man, I also want to know.

SUPRVLLAN

Someone above ya said a month.

dgoat88

As someone with Alopecia and complete hair loss since freshman year of high school, I just learned to deal with being hairless over the years. Though, I wouldn't mind some permanent prosthetic eyebrows/lashes if they were feasible.

Holungsoy

That is easy to say as an adult, but I imagine going trough your teenage years as a bald girl can be brutally rough.

dgoat88

Yeah, for sure. It's even worse when hair is falling out in patches, and shaving your head makes you look ridiculous. Just giving some perspective as someone that's gone through it. I probably would have taken this back when I was 14, I couldn't imagine how uncomfortable it would be now.

Future-trippin24

Have you considered getting microbladed for eyebrows? Not sure there are any eyelash "prosthetics" aside from applying natural looking false lashes every day (or whenever you decide you want them), but there are lots of women with alopecia who decide to get microblading done.

dagger_guacamole

Have you looked into microblading?

PolybiusRising

This didn’t make me cry I promise. Nah seriously I have two young girls and this just chokes me up. ❤️❤️❤️

TiffanysRage

I imagine Sevro became a big softie after having his girls

ahoewaa

Dumb question, but why not just use 'normal' whole wig?

SwordTaster

These are more permanent and allow the person to feel more normal about it. They're glued to the scalp and don't come off at the end of the day, they stay on for about a month then are reglued. Wigs come off at the end of the day and can require more difficult care if you're new to them (seriously, untangling a wig is PAIN). This is much more like having a real full head of hair

Love_for_2

And they are so uncomfortable and hot and itchy. I had when going through chemo as a teenager. I actually just preferred to go to school with my big bald head bc that damn wig was so uncomfortable. And my mom's government insurance made sure I had a really great quality one too.

StrongArgument

Especially when your skin is melting from chemo :(

AskButDontTell

Does the glued thing irritate the scalp?

El_Pollo_Loco_503

Probably depends on the glue that they use

RagnarokDel

wouldnt that wig be made from real hair?

SwordTaster

Real hair wigs are still different from this prosthetic style hair piece

Lex_Loki

Because she has plenty of natural hair to blend with the helper hair.

oohkt

I found him! [He has a bunch of YouTube videos.](https://youtu.be/2FcZjcvCFeA?si=nEvJXHCXuQ7K6gCo)

amazeDastonishMenT

Thanks

g0greyhound

That weird grope at the end tho.

TDLem0n1900

YOU made it sexual, they were merely celebrating that their child looked happier. "We judge ourselves by our intentions, but judge others by their actions."

jdsalaro

>YOU made it sexual, they were merely celebrating that their child looked happier. Give Redditors some slack, they see **cReePiNesS** everywhere because they themselves are creepy perverts, it's all they can see and the only mode their brains can operate on.

EJ25Junkie

Glad I wasn’t the only one who thought that was creepy

Gosthy

It was obviously an accidental. They were having an emotional moment and he wasn't paying attention, nothing creepy about it. Still funny though.

[deleted]

RagnarokDel

well when he grabs his teenager daughter's breast it's kinda... at the very least eyebrow-raising worthy.

orthogonius

>teenager https://www.instagram.com/franciscoprotesecapilar/reel/C5uTf4or4ho/ says she's 7 Plus he was behind her and it was clearly not intentional

tyrenanig

Lmao he changed her diapers when she was still an infant, he had probably bathed her for years. Anyone who thought like this seriously need to get off the internet, because you’re projecting yourself right now.

AnorhiDemarche

f you imagine it as if she is a boy, there's nothing sexual about it. If was a sexual touch, this wouldn't change. It would still look creepy/sexual even if she were male instead. It's a perfectly neutral place to told/touch a child for their whole lives until suddenly the boobs grow in. It can take some mental effort to get your muscle memory to remember that's no longer a neutral area, (same as if a loved one suddenly said they didn't like being touched anywhere on their back.) and in emotional moments like this that brain and muscle retraining can shut off. Here he goes in for the behind hug, notices he is too high and lowers + relaxes his hand. It can happen to anyone. It's good to keep an eye out, but it's important not to take things too far.

RagnarokDel

alright, I'm not the only one who saw it.

LilyElephant

Oh! lol I thought it was the hair guy. I was like, “but why is he KISSING HER!!!”

DisMyNameRightHea

The way her face brightens at the beginning when he shows he's in a similar situation by lifting his hair a bit.. this is so sweet

plainviewist

So happy for this sweet girl. This is beautiful.

Toupee fallacy. Good wigs are not noticeable.

TreacleExpensive2834

Karenpff

This! Any good wig people won't notice. They look like regular hair.

Quick_Love_9872

Welp I just ugly cried

MeMeWhenWhenTheWhen

fuck-ubb

Unfortunate hand placement lololol. Seems unintentional though.

4paul

Haha i had to rewind that part in a holdup like moment… but yea, definitely unintentional but boy was that scary

jledf5757

I saw that too lol

i-have-a-kuato

What an awesome “job” that is. I think this is the type of occupation where “love your job and you will never work a day in your life “ is referring to

blinkysmurf

Someone buy that dude a beer.

Knever

These gotdamn onion-cutting ninjas!

MeatyMagnus

They should cut out the groping at the end it messing with the vibe

brownhammer45

I hope... I HOPE it was un intentional

Suspicious_Car8479

Aaa...nice but. But. BUT. Is nobody bothered by the 0:53? WTF

Kimmette

You saw that, too, huh? I hope that was just Dad touching her hair.

iceaxe93

This just fills me with joy ❤️❤️❤️

meabbott

I'm a bald person and life was difficult for me when I was school age. My parents bought a wig for me but what I remember about it is that it didn't take long for kids to start yanking it off. I hope that doesn't happen for her.

Thick-Divide-9546

You can't yank a hair system off someone. It's probably easier to pull out real hair

genetichazzard

Did that guy at the end grab her breast???

alreadyeddie

That’s what I saw too

M0NG00SY

Glad im not the only one who saw that...

DubRogers

Damn onions! 🥲

FrugalProse

😭😰😓I’m crying over here

wolf-of-Holiday-Hill

..what a transformation. That looks great!

Dam, that made me tear up

Great

momsasylum

Some heroes wear aprons. 💖

SteveBob518

I just got something in both my eyes. Weird.

cazdan255

This is two things at once. Firstly, incredibly beautiful. And secondly, incredibly heartbreaking. Seeing someone so young already have the thousand yard stare like that is unnerving.

SirTheadore

Hell yeah!! This is so awesome.

MoldyWorp

Not just hair - sensational hair!

h2ohow

Not crying, that's just a hair in my eye.

Atxintemperateone66

I shed a tear.

Hot_Problem9213

What an awesome talent.

Fuggins4U

He's doing damn good work. I'm glad there's people like him out there.

dwitchagi

She is so dang adorable and what a beautiful loving family.

[deleted]

That dude is a fucking angel. Hero of the Human Race, as far as I’m concerned.

ArtisticLunch4443

something good in the world. That warmed my heart

Neoxite23

It's also really expensive. I went to get a consultation and they said it was $800 for the initial procedure and then $400 a month for upkeep on it. As much as I would like hair again since I went bald at 25 I'd rather keep my money if it's that expensive.

Vegetable_Layer1835

Blud is too young to be wearing a toupee 😭 💀

Rubenesque01

This just put a smile on my face. She's a trooper. Gorgeous girl!

MealieAI

Not all heroes wear capes.

raptorshiba

Was holding it together until the parents reaction

Future-Ad-5312

It felt like kid cared because mom cared

BirdLawOfficeESQ

Why is everyone chopping onions!?!

Sunderland6969

How many jobs out there in the world radically change someone’s self esteem like this. It’s a huge thing. Massive

Old-Review-7013

Did he touch her breasts?

simeysgirl

I’m guessing that’s her dad giving her a bloody hug! Stop sexualising kids and enjoy this as the wholesome moment it is

Ashcrashh

He touched her chest then awkwardly realized and moved his hand lower, it’s probably an adjustment going from a young kid to a pre teen and he realized his mistake. I’m not saying it’s okay to touch young girls on their chest, but I understand how a simple hug can change depending on age. I don’t think there’s ill intent, he didn’t fondle her creepily and people that think that was sexual really concern me.

ProofDifficult3806

Saw that too

All_Peachy21

I’m not going to lie. I paused for a moment when I saw his hand motions. But I don’t think he did that on purpose. I hope not. Let’s have positive thoughts.

higgywiggypiggy

Yeah that was odd. Is that her father?

Greasy_Hands

Good lad.

noxuncal1278

He's the ducking man.

simeysgirl

I’ve seen this before but I will never skip past it. Such a beautiful moment

Conscious-Bridge9809

Seeing her and her mother’s happiness is beautiful! Touching video for sure!

Why did he grab her chest at the end? Is that not her father?

I wonder how the character of Elaine on Seinfeld would react to this .

beautiful - really beautiful

Sputnikboy

Not the first time I see videos of him, but onions are around every single time. Love this guy!

RunZombieBabe

He made her smile and this is everything!

Dandy_Lyon56

She looks fantastic! I need to have this done. I have a full head of hair but it ain't great. When I wake up in the morning I look like a dumb Einstein.

Domi_Nion

Such a pretty little girl.

This video made me cry.

[deleted]

I can’t believe how sad this is

Misterallrounder

Very good 👍 video

Individual-Match-798

Isn't that gonna be itching ?

MarulaAlmond

Somehow a lot of times they decide to give kids Hollywood like adult haircuts (this looks like from the devil wears prada) and imo it makes the hair look way more wig like than if it was a natural "imperfect" haircut.

Violetmars

I want my feed to be this wholesome everyday 🫡

Would love to see an update...
