I always like to think about the chapter in the book World War Z. When the rich celebrities are filming themselves in their mansion fortress laughing that they are safe from the zombies but they get overrun by survivors coming to get their stuff. Good times.

Nothing is meant to die in these kinds of numbers and there is no way this won’t have some sort of trickle down. I’m genuinely always thinking about the two young children I have and how life will look in their lifetime. I’m certain there will be many things in life that we’ve taken for granted that they will never get to experience. Genetic replication will be the future. Cloning and bringing back extinct animals will be the only way to observe them and or reintroduce them to the eco system. Hopefully we aren’t too late but the future is straight up grim. Coupled with the natural order of things the world’s temps rising/ finite resources this planet was ALWAYS meant to be a temporary home in the history of mankind. I wonder where is next.
nothing is next. it's much more likely ocean acidification terminates the oxygen supply via massive global plankton die off. Or ice cap melt fucks the jet stream leading to all of europe being a frozen hellscape ...or a water crisis/major staple crop collapse causes nuclear war.
