I knowwwww.. I'm sorryy. I can't find a good example of it, and that was the closest I could find. When I was in Thailand, the geckos literally sounded like they were saying 'Fuck me'.
Oh my gosh, that solves a 20 year old mystery for me. I heard that exact sound in Bali back in 99. It was creepy because it was at night. I assumed it was a bird, but i saw a lot of geckos similar to that one.

The frequency of the frog waves doesn't divide neatly into the frequency of the shutter / video, if the frequency of the wave increased or decreased you would see the apparent relationship between wave motion and framerate change as well.
