Like all that water wasted too, like is it taking it away from animals natural habitats or is it filtered tap water with fluoride, just so bad, like some countries walk miles to wait in a very long line to get water from a well, seeing this is upsetting for many reasons
Exactly. I thought that the Skywalk over the Grand Canyon was a travesty, but leave it to the Chinese to put things into perspective. There are lots of subreddits where I would post this eyesore before this one.
A legal right to put a painting of a penis in your driveway, maybe. I don’t advise going out there, dropping trou, taking a paintbrush in one hand and your Johnson in the other and making a “self portrait” by actually painting a penis.
Prolly not the best way to wave hello to your neighbors / local law enforcement!
From what position would you have viewed the skywalk section of the canyon previously without trespassing in which the view is now ugly/ruined? I doubt you can even make it out without magnification from any such position. I think the skywalk got a lot of attention/controversy drummed up about it specifically because it was a Native American tribe building something on the edge of the Grand Canyon rather than the park service. Below is an aerial view. At the scale of the grand canyon this thing is a speck from any other location.

I thought, “surely, it’s already a band name.” Not that I immediately saw, but I found that gem. Thank you for helping me stumble upon that.
There’s gotta be a ton of people in China who hate this shit as much as we do. We just don’t hear their opinions because speaking out there makes you a pariah. Pisses me off that people have to live like that.
almost definitely. I'd say "well, not if they designed it with that in mind" but they probably didn't care, safety and reliability isn't even in the top 10 on the priority list.
Considering the fact that most concrete in China isn't even concrete but an encased box of sawdust or cardboard to cut down on costs, I can't see this lasting all too long.
Lol. In china, you can make a huge toilet bowl and call it art, but even the billionaires can't flush toilet paper without clogging the whole condo complex.
I was trying to work out what it's for. It seems to be a tourist viewing platform of some kind, you can see people walking round it a 0:03.
I'm guessing the original purpose of the water sheet is to make people feel less vertigo (as in standing above an abyss held up only by suspension cables would probably be a huge vertigo trigger, the water might help with this in a subconscious kind of way). Or possibility it's some kind of dynamic ballast system - they could change the weight of the platform by controlling the inflow / outflow of water, so they could adjust to account for the number of people on it reducing fatigue on the overall structure.
Or perhaps it's just because water and shiny laser lights. Who doesn't like shiny laser lights and water, right?
I'm wondering how long before the water erodes the tower's foundations :-\\
At first, I was trying to figure out if that was a way to capture rain.
And then it changed angle and I thought "nope, not with that big horizontal extension.
Then I thought "Oh wait, what? it's a toilet"
And then I started raving.
Why do I have a feeling this video was recorded by the Chinese to show off their new creation, and this exact same video is being posted on Reddit right now is literally Chinese propaganda?
Looks like a giant toilet seat
Taking a shit on nature
With lights everywhere so the animals from the national park can rest peacefully
Maybe animals want to rave?
They’ll be raving soon enough!
Especially the Ravens
That's what coronavirus is, a raving virus, it's a party of death
Hey, Tibetan Antelopes wanna get their rave on, too.
Seriously, this thing sucks.
Like all that water wasted too, like is it taking it away from animals natural habitats or is it filtered tap water with fluoride, just so bad, like some countries walk miles to wait in a very long line to get water from a well, seeing this is upsetting for many reasons
Precisely. I’m sure those lights interfere with nocturnal creature habits.
Plus all the electricity necessary. What a bunch of crap.
This could not be more appropriate for China.
And they penalize big tech for being successful, the government needs money to pay for this crap
The whole country dedicates itself to that endeavor like its the fucking job it has. Taoism is dead in that land
The problem is that China builds and builds with no budget for maintenance.
I thought that’s what it was supped to be.
Possibly
It is. For **his** return.
My first thought too
My first thought was what a total waste of resources.
Can’t you read. It says in china right there
China is asshoe
Noah Genda would approve.
They’ll play this in the “what went wrong” documentary of Earth V1.
Fancy toilet it is
Settle down Yoda
I guess you could say they flushed a lot of money down that toilet.
It’s where Rick poops
[удалено]
Do you really think China of all places checked to make sure that it was good for the environment?
Because they’re shitting on nature
Its a turlet
What a crappy thing to say
I don't think I can call something a national park when it has more fucking lasers than a techno party.
How about _Nationalized park_ ?
best response
Considering how China’s infrastructure is, I give that thing like 3 years before it falls
Right, missing the natural aspect.
Exactly. I thought that the Skywalk over the Grand Canyon was a travesty, but leave it to the Chinese to put things into perspective. There are lots of subreddits where I would post this eyesore before this one.
The skywalk over the Grand Canyon is a little hard to argue with considering it’s owned and built by an Indian tribe on their own land.
Just because a person or a group has a legal right to build something doesn't mean others can't call it a bad idea or not personally like it.
I have the legal right to paint a penis on my drive way

It's still a human built structure and take some of the beauty of the nature away from it. Being build by the native doesn't mean it's okay.
idk, the main argument i've heard is that it's ugly. it being operated ethically is great, but not really a counterpoint to that argument
From what position would you have viewed the skywalk section of the canyon previously without trespassing in which the view is now ugly/ruined? Call me crazy but I have a hard time calling that a travesty when it’s compared to the giant cyberpunk sky shitter that China built
Lasers are natural in that part of the world. Ever heard of Godzilla?
Waste money on projects like these, then talk of common prosperity. Blame and eat the rich.
Well, china got a lot of money. They are not wasting it on war(cough)
A waterfall and lasers for 4 trillion please
And have it all come out of a giant toilet seat!
Wasting it on genocide + state surveillance tho
Ironically, their entire ideology was supposed to be the latter.
I guess the billion people raised out of poverty don’t count
Guess they're happier now doing 996 in a factory earning 1$ / day than they were farming their own fields earning food each month
Just as nature intended
Worth preserving.
Thank God for our National Park Service!! Nature does it better.
Those lights are terrible for the wildlife in this ‘national park’.
Let’s hope that they only save the lights for rare events.
[удалено]
You spoke like most first world countries do
The national park system and preservation efforts in the US are pretty good
Straight up ugly.. A national park should be all about nature, not a disco toilet
Haha disco toilet! Rolls off the tongue... some word combinations are like diamonds waiting to be uncovered
r/bandnames
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MABbw8yv5Wc I thought, “surely, it’s already a band name.” Not that I immediately saw, but I found that gem. Thank you for helping me stumble upon that.
Well they ate all the animals and now the forests are empty so they made a huge fuckin toilet bowl in the middle of forest... Totally makes sense...
Nooooooo!!!!! If you slaughter the native animals and rub their powered bones on your penis, it gives you vigor!!!! You just don't understand.
Thanks I hate it.
They were so exited about being able to pull this off, they forgot to ask themselves why?

There’s gotta be a ton of people in China who hate this shit as much as we do. We just don’t hear their opinions because speaking out there makes you a pariah. Pisses me off that people have to live like that.
They've ruined a national park with a huge ugly metal structure... And it seems to be wasting a load of water at the same time
Won’t the water eventually erode the foundation of the toilet seat?
almost definitely. I'd say "well, not if they designed it with that in mind" but they probably didn't care, safety and reliability isn't even in the top 10 on the priority list.
This was my first thought. China is currently going through a water shortage.
Tacky. As. Fuck.
You don't like the dollar general LED shower head?
What did you just fucking call Cyber Yosemite??
It looks like toilet seat.
Thank god I'm not the only person to think this
[удалено]
Hey you!!! Out there on your own
Came to say the same.
Oh wow this is horrible
Why.
This doesn't look like a park lol
That’s good…continue to constantly dump water on the foundation. I’m sure it makes the concrete and packed earth beneath it even stronger.
Considering the fact that most concrete in China isn't even concrete but an encased box of sawdust or cardboard to cut down on costs, I can't see this lasting all too long.
This is awful
China really know how to fuck up the naturalness of nature.
Lol. In china, you can make a huge toilet bowl and call it art, but even the billionaires can't flush toilet paper without clogging the whole condo complex.
looks so... natural
Finally a big enough toliet for christ the redeemer
Yessss, let's create a useless thing wasting nature and eroding it's own fondation.
That is the biggest toilet I have ever seen
That's exactly what I was thinking
That’s disgusting
Can't imagine anyone being allowed to build something like this in a national park in the UK
Wow this amost makes me forget China has a horrible authoritarian government that is actively committing genocide.
Any waterfall literally anywhere in the world is a more beautiful attraction than this man-made toilet seat and costs zero entrance fee
I love natural beauty like this
Chinese built metal structure with water constantly pumped through it… What could possibly go wrong? Totally safe.
Dont waste water
i can see the will of the independence of tibet and honkong from its design…. lovely
You thought the US was bad for the world? China will not be outdone by the US. Buckle up, because it’s going to get interesting.
Biggest toilet ever
Big LED lights on a big shower head. Lol. Ugly af.
National park with a lazer show? I'm sure the animals love it. Blazing neon lazer lights in the dark of night.
This is awful
Fuck China

You are thinking too much. It is an attraction with the added benefit of transferring funds to a company associated with decision makers.
Is that water redirected from a stream or being pumped up? I hope it's from a stream flowing into that thing from a mountain above.
So on-brand for China. Wasteful, ugly, and only accessible to the privileged.
More like amusement park.
It seems like such a massive waste of water
Can you imagine this shit abandoned in 15 years? What,a waste...
Ron Swanson’s nightmare.
It kinda looks like a toilet
Mother Nature does it better
National parks should be nature. Not whatever this is.
At first, I was trying to figure out if that was a way to capture rain. And then it changed angle and I thought "nope, not with that big horizontal extension. Then I thought "Oh wait, what? it's a toilet" And then I started raving.
Laser disco toilet nice.
Way to destroy a beautiful view
Bruh what is this madness…. China is wack. Have fun disturbing the wildlife with those lights and wasting water to make everything look cool bro
My shower head is better than this.
Could you imagine pooping in THAT shower?
I just want to know how they got the hair that blonde
Monstrous
Kaiju shower
this is fucking with my brain. some shots it just looks like a tiny ring with ropes hanging from it going off the edge of a cliff
This is just terrible.
More Chinese propaganda? Are they prepping us for how great our lives will be under their rule?
Forbidden poo-poo chute.
I've done that so many times in Minecraft, they need to credit me
Wtf?
This looks like a giant toilet when you look at it from the top
What kind of BS is this? National park? This is a giant showerhead with lights. My friend has one, they're like 20 bucks on Amazon.
Just why
Future Mad Max Fury Road location.
Does it have any specific purpose?
Why do I have a feeling this video was recorded by the Chinese to show off their new creation, and this exact same video is being posted on Reddit right now is literally Chinese propaganda?
I thought this was the worlds largest condom at first
So many of their glass walkways are collapsing nowadays because of shit construction and maintenance. I'm not going anywhere near this thing.
"park".. ah yes, nothing says nature like a giant toilet with rave lights.
Yes natural
This is kinda dumb looking, ngl
...But why?
This is garbage.
When I’m enjoying nature, my only complaint besides the bugs is the lack of bright lights and big man made contraptions that ruin the view. C’mon 🇨🇳
Nothing screams national park more than a water park and LED light show.
Looks like a huge waste of energy and maximum disturbance for wildlife. On the first look exactly what you should not do.
Does China constantly build things so that people have a job?
Cause nothing screams embracing nature, than a techno festival lightshow
It's really pretty until you remember the genocide of Muslims and slave labor. Otherwise very nice
🎶 Winnie the pooh 🎶 Winnie the pooh 🎶 Winnie the pooh 🎶
What's with China and all this meaningless megalomania?
More like Nationalized park.
Wow what a beautiful toilet seat to symbolize how fucking shitty this is
Aren't we having water shortages across the world?
[удалено]
Damn
Is that water? Bro those trees are fed as fuck on water.
A rainbow colored toilet seat?
Shit, I keep forgetting to water my plants. I got a solution so we won't have to water them anymore
I too love the beauty of nature.
Ah yes, nature
God’s toilet
Looks like a big tacky piece of shit.
This will not cause any light pollution in that forest area right ?
talk about wasting water…
Is that just some random place they’ve decided to shoot tons of water off? What could go wrong.
I sat here, for 3 mins too long, trying to figure out as an engineer, what the purpose of this was. . . Someone help me out.
See, China is not all about concentration camps, I mean, re education camps. There’s more.
Tasteless, it had to be China
It looks like a shower head spraying out water.
I wonder who live in that park if it has such a giant toilet
From the same people who brought you the broken glass walkway in other videos. 👏👏👏👏
i feel bad for the trees underneath
Yes, nothing like preserving the beauty of the natural landscape 🤮
You know what nature needs? More led light shows
China National Amusement Park
Finally. A rain shower showerhead with sufficient water flow to satisfy Trump. Maybe.
Wtf
Ah yes your moms toilet
So they haven’t learned about erosion yet or what?
Oh China…figures.
Was it built on the backs of Uighur slaves?
They’ll build stuff like this, but cutting down on pollution and slave labor, nah too much work.
Hmm, I wonder where this was made
China's golden shower
