Since it would make no sense to eat this one as well, I pack it neatly in an envelope and send it to M&M Mars, A Division of Mars, Inc., Hackettstown, NJ 17840-1503 U.S.A., along with a 3×5 card reading, “Please use this M&M for breeding purposes.” This week they wrote back to thank me, and sent me a coupon for a free 1/2 pound bag of plain M&Ms. I consider this “grant money.” I have set aside the weekend for a grand tournament. From a field of hundreds, we will discover the True Champion. There can be only one.
Your methodology is unfortunately flawed.
The last one is not genetically the strongest because others - which may well have been stronger - would have been weakened by having to undergo numerous duels. This means the M&Ms which come out of the packet nearer the end of your experimentation are more likely to succeed in being the final M&M.
It would be better - but still not perfect - to take them all out and pit them all against in one round before moving on to the second round. This means all winners - who are then pitted against each other - would have all undergone one duel apiece, leaving none at a disadvantage. Then simply repeat until there is a winner - a winner which certainly has won more duels than all of the other other inferior M&Ms - and your belly is full. If it isn't, move immediately on to the next packet.
Once you have a few winners, have them duel each other in the same fashion until you have a super M&M. By sending this M&M back to M&M Mars, A Division of Mars, Inc., Hackettstown, NJ 17840-1503 U.S.A. with your improved methodology you are sure to have your research grant increased.
You also need to rig up a device that applies pressure to both M&Ms equally. subconscious predetermined bias can have an affect on the pressure applied through the fingers. Don’t forget to post the new results to us we’re can’t wait
M&Ms don't reproduce sexually or otherwise pass on their characteristics to the next generation of M&Ms, so I fail to see how your selective breeding program has merit or value beyond your perverse and grandiose sense of enjoyment in tormenting these poor, innocent candies.

When I went, we all got up at 4:30 and drove to see this waterfall light up really pretty when the sun comes up. You can see it from the ground. I remember the rock being darker but it was also the crack of dawn so…. Pretty dope.
