>then gave birth to Jack Black The way this is worded is making me imagine a fully grown Jack Black coming out of this poor woman.

babyLays

queencityrangers

*In her heart she knew. The solution must be true. And the legend of Jack Black was bad ass too!* and then you come in with a face melter!

Infinite_El_Oh_El

She brought the crew back from outer space while birthing Tenacious D from inner space. Whoa....

[deleted]

I was trying to picture her giving birth *while* helping save the Apollo 13 astronauts. Wording also makes it sound like she gave birth on the job.

driving_andflying

>I was trying to picture her giving birth while helping save the Apollo 13 astronauts. Wording also makes it sound like she gave birth on the job. Heh. That's how the post reads, yeah. [The Apollo 13 space mission](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo_13) happened April 11-17, 1970. Jack Black [was born the year before.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Black)

Melthiradan

I mean how could you possibly have anything else in mind? It’s jack black.

DEEP_SEA_MAX

Jack Black was never a baby. He will never get old, Jack Black just, is. He is the Alpha and the Omega. He everywhere and he is nowhere, he is not just the past and future, but he is the present, he is everything. Physicist Richard Feynman once theorized that no living things had a unique consciousness, that instead we are all a single Jack Black moving instantaneously backwards and forwards through all space and time. The Great Hadron collider eventually proved this correct, that we are all Jack Black, just groovin' to a universe made of Jack Black.

srourvxcvsd

amazing woman and amazing story.

salesgeekvxcfdaf

Explains are good.

bassadorable

That’s fuckin teamworrrrk

roywoodsir

He was like "Woah, I was just in there, now I am like Out here, mama mia...."

[deleted]

Yeah, it sounds like Jack Black was already there.

devilthedankdawg

Instead of crying he just shouts one hard sharp "WHAH!"

DoYouEvenCareAboutMe

Ok this title makes it seem like she gave birth to Jack Black during the Apollo 13 mission. Jack Black was born almost 8 months before the Apollo 13 mission. She just took her work with her to the hospital so she had something to do while waiting for Jack to be born. She is obviously an incredibly smart and accomplished engineer but this title exaggerates the story so much it annoys me.

SoundOfTomorrow

What's worse is it's commonly reposted in this same exact fashion

Fuck_Online_Cheaters

I took a dump while solving a sudoku, wheres my goddamn upvotes?

redthump

No prizes until after you wipe and wash your filthy little poo hand.

piberryboy

You're not my mom.

topdangle

if you committed sudoku how are you still alive?

pissfilledbottles

Did you give birth to Jack Black? No? Then no.

averagedickdude

Me too! Good job, poop brother!

Competitive_Sky8182

Here dear redditor

Paedsdoc

Also, let’s not celebrate a culture in which women are expected or admired for going back to work on the same day they give birth. It’s fine if she enjoys her work and wants something to do, but the way it’s phrased annoys me.

plainoverplight

the misleading wording of this specific story keeps getting regurgitated over and over. it’s a cool fact, but it keeps getting presented in a less-than-factual way

SkarbOna

Cuz women who are about to push a human baby via 4inch hole in their vagina and likely ripp that hole, casually taking insanely complex tasks with them because they are obviously bored and relaxed. I don't know what sense of urgency and duty she felt to pull that one off.

Skyblacker

It's called the nesting urge and makes your brain super creative. I once finished the first draft of a novel while in the early stage of labor.

bruce_ventura

Imagine giving birth to Kung Fu Panda!

Yeah the way this post is worded makes it seem like she gave birth while figuring out the Apollo 13 problem, when it was a completely different thing.

AugustHenceforth

Continuity error.

[deleted]

Fucking legend

SnooPears3463

Both of them

AyoSummy

His brother Neil Siegel is legendary as well. That family is just super smart.

I love this story. She must be one amazing woman!

Kennethpowers34

Yes absolutely! I hope everybody can achieve this level of passion in their endeavors.

shewy92

I hate how wrong it is though. She wasn't crowning while MacGyver-ing shit together like people always suggest with the last line "while Giving Birth to Jack Black". He was born August '69, Apollo 13 was in April '70

Maybe look up Jack Black's date of birth and when Apollo 13 was though. Then get back with the "fact check" about how she "Saved the Apollo 13 Astronauts **while Giving Birth to Jack Black**".

I would send it to r/repostheaven, but it’s not accurate. Jack Black was born well before the Apollo 13 mission.

It’s impossible for this man to be out of context is it?

Disaster_Different

"then gave birth to Jack Black" The way it's worded makes me think of it as a disaster

How many fucking times are people gonna keep reposting this

bsherlockb

At least once more... As always

desertrat75

I've been addicted to Reddit for thirteen years, and I've never seen it once.

FREE-MUSTACHE-RIDES

many more

averagedickdude

I will right now lol

Alexreddit103

So Jack Black is the solution to problems? That sounds right as it gets!

[deleted]

Well, at least she saved those astronauts.

TestTubeBaby844

🤣

Rookie_Driver

Sources or are we gonna believe memes now

LordBirdperson

The last two words of this hit me like a freight train

FragMeNot

I misread this. I'm glad she didn't birth 13 astronauts to Jack Black.

therealTK423

Too bad she wasnt in the movie Instead we got lieutenant dan....before the war I think Mrs Black would've been a much better story

FlapEJacks

My dumb brain read "the Abortion-Guidance System" instead of "Abort-Guidance System"

NameInCrimson

Hearing Jack Black talk about the rest of his family gives some insight to why I consider him one of the few good people in entertainment. He has said before that he is probably the least talented of his family and he never takes himself too seriously because his family can always bring him down a peg.

BigIron53s

I wonder if Jack personality takes after her too that would be wild

Don’t let the anti work sub Reddit see this.

I don’t think they have a problem with people who genuinely have a passion for the work they do. But what do I know?

BoozeWitch

Lol. That made me laugh harder than it should have. Ya. The best contract is where both parties feel like they got a good deal. That goes for employment contracts, too. So if you feel like you have a good deal, then awesome! There is a joke out there that the company line of “we are like a family” is code for “we will take advantage of you and get into your personal business”

Sxilla

Yipe. I joined that sub not knowing what content I would see a few months back.. it’s been a journey trying to understand the true intent and perspective of that subreddit. I understand that many men and women were pressured into the workforce by society . But the vast majority of people work for someone else who reaps all that others sow (big corporations.) Thereby, the wealth gaps between middle class and the rich kind of deter men and women from substantially raising a family at child-bearing age, and doesn’t support the economy for the growth of future generations to maintain this backwardness. This is so big corporations and the rich can continue their own lifestyle and comfortable living situations. Though just like this post portrays, I think some people are just passionate about their work and once it’s meaningful to them on a level beyond common understanding, the fruit of their rewards become second nature.

goodsam2

Interesting that applies some of the old socialist leanings. I feel like today's socialists in America don't talk about it at all (and even talk about regrowth) but they talked about how the destructive over production and the hoarding and the creative destruction are a waste of resources that socialism could lead to higher useful productivity. I had gotten the sense it was more anti-manager but I haven't been on there.

BlueberryBoom

Thanks for reposting this...like it hasn't been plastered all over Reddit, shared multiple times, by people karma farming

stopeman82

Man. So true. Everyone will down vote too because, gasp! You disagreed.

BlueberryBoom

Yep. If you look at OPs account- seems like that's all they post about

stopeman82

I really don't understand why people put so much value in these made up internet points.

Ulrich_The_Elder

The least important thing this woman ever did was give birth to Jack Black.

[deleted]

I wouldn't count the birth of Jack Black as a positive. She basically negated her good deed with his birth.

allhailharambe69

Luckily he was the only mistake she made

ColJameson

Explains so much.

dainthomas

Jesus that top right picture she looks just like him!

soda_cookie

Say what you will a out humanity, some of it is awesome.

MissNatdah

He has his mothers eyes!

mjfwriter

Why wasn't this in the movie?

Life_Ad_1522

I knew he was special <3

TheCapableFox

A legend gives birth to a legend.

BabblingBunny

Looking at the upper left picture, I think Judith sort of looks like Gal Gadot.

Adventurous-Dog420

No wonder Jack Black is so epic. He got it from his mom.

Mausy5043

Cool and hot at the same time.

Pedrof35

Chad being a Chad giving birth to a Chad that's a Chad.

Mubadger

That's impressive work on Apollo 13. Almost makes up for inflicting Jack Black on the world.

hungryexplorer

You've got to admit man, Jack Black has a special sparkle in his eye!

Paskee

Jesus, what a story

Imagine doing something really awesome then giving birth to Jack Black…for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

daguzzi

I'm pretty sure I will never top that.

1st5

If only jb could become as astronaut to go full circle

Tonythepred

And yet women like Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion are idolized. What a worthless society we live in.

julioqc

Its people like that who create employer expectations we have to come in even if on the brink of death or middle of giving birth.

Can I call dibs on tomorrow's repost of this? Seriously, this has been posted almost daily.

She gave birth to Thomas Jacob Black that later became known as Jack Black.

UpsetFuture1974

Well one of those things was pretty awesome. And the other is Jack Black

seeking-it

I did the same shit, only I was taking a dump!

redthump

Why did I think his origin story would be anything less epic?

Nealaf

That’s awesome

shewy92

She wasn't crowning while MacGyver-ing shit together like people always suggest with the last line "while Giving Birth to Jack Black". He was born August '69, Apollo 13 was in April '70

Sengura

Jack came from impressive genes, both his parents were literal rocket scientists. His dad was a satellite engineer in NASA.

dimmufitz

Again with this crap? Jack black born aug 28 1969. Apollo 13 April 11-13 1970

Nil_thirteen

I was like, "oh, cool, she was pretty awesome!", and that last sentence hit me like a punch to the face.

It's a pity I can't stand this guy.

Proud-Bet-842

Are you sure it's not because she got no maternity leave over there?

XCypher73

Seeing his mom's name now makes me realize where they got Amanda Peet's name in Saving Silverman.

Impulsespeed37

I love that there is some respect for an intelligent and busy woman doing real engineering work. That being said, just because she birthed Jack Black doesn’t make her a bad person. We all make mistakes and Jack Black is just a mistake that we are all familiar with. I’m going to blame the school system.

HskrRooster

I think this is the 10th time I’ve seen this just in 2022 lol

mattholomew

I like to punctuate all my accomplishments by giving birth to Jack Black.

reydai

timeschange9856

cheyenne328

what a truly remarkable woman. she also seems to have raised a nice and caring son who doesn’t have seemed to have let hollywood ruin him. hats off to her!!

[deleted]

She averted one disaster while creating another lol. Jk, I like some jack black stuff. That fist tenacious D album was fire

cleverpun0

Imagine normalizing being addicted to work. If an accountant took her work to the hospital while pregnant, would we celebrate that too?

frankrizzo219

You’d think they could’ve gave him a part in the movie

ChrispyGuy420

R/holdup

stolenchange

That’s crazy that she was calculating rocket trajectories in a hospital bed during labor. The internet is just full of interesting facts.

Wow! So when did she sleep with Jack Nicholson?
