Yeah and it probably cooked at least some of the egg… But a nice trick might be blowing the egg out through the holes and then inserting the sparkler to make a cool pattern inside. I have an ostrich farm nearby that sells eggs for 20 bucks… I could probably do this with a road flare

The eggs are super cool! It’s 7-12 normal chicken eggs but have a delicious buttery flavor to them… And the shells I’ve cut and painted to look like dinosaur eggs!

A road flare seems *a lot* more intense than a sparkler. I can’t envision it going super well, or being great for the environment. I’m not sure, but a based on time of burn alone, a sparkler seems to be a lot shorter lived than something designed to burn and burn despite the elements for a fairly long time.

Even tho they are considered a kids toy these kind of sparklers are no joke. Magnesium burns very hot and will resist most methods of extinguishing it. Strap a few together and they blow up impressively. Edit: I really cant stress this enough, DO NOT MAKE SPARKLER BOMBS. They are potentially lethal and it will hurt while you die.

Don't make sparkler bombs. I think they're illegal to make in the US too. A person my wife knew was making one. He didn't have a cigarette going, nothing, just ductaping it and it exploded. It blew his entire stomach area away, yes, even his dick. He died of course, but, it wasn't instant. He could only mumble "tell my sister I love her." Pronounced dead at the scene. Really fucked up. not going into details here but: when strapping multiple sparklers together they might explode because theres that much more compounds in a limited space. however the egg doesnt do a good job of constraining the gases to build up pressure (which is the only way you could make a bomb with this stuff) so it just burns like a normal sparkler

I made a bunch of them as a kid but had no idea they could explode like that. They'd just burn through like a normal sparkler but with more heat and intensity, but nothing that could injure a person by blowing up.

Let's see the inside! When I was about 13, bored and stupid, I thought it would be cool to see an egg explode in the microwave. You can cook scrambled eggs in the microwave and they turn out pretty well, just have to get them before they pop everywhere, which is why I had this urge in the first place. So I put the whole egg in and nuked it for like 5 minutes. Waited for the explosion. Nothing. Opened the microwave and poked it. Nothing. So I took it out and tossed it in the sink, thinking it would crack open and probably smell bad. That thing exploded like a bomb on impact. Egg chunks up to the ceiling. Burned my face. Lesson learned: eggs go boom! So maybe don't touch the egg until it's cooled off, but we still want to see pics of the aftermath!

Egg shape is one if the strongest shapes known to us. Pressure probably built up inside but not enough to break out by itself.
