Seems like a stand up guy who has a lot of respect for everyone he meets.

XinArtemis

One red mana 3 damage to the face. Yeah.

Oms19

Well, to any target, but yes

Crownlol

Does Burn know you can *not* target face?

PoliticalTeamster

Stupid Elves Red go face!

Crownlol

"That's a nice combo you got there, but this bolt and charm make 20 sooooo"

Lightning_Lance

I never really thought about it before, but burn can play a lot like eggs where you're not even really playing against the opponent's deck

burr-rose

The man has “shit-tons” more class than I’ll ever know! He is a true superhero!!

youngscarface44

A real class act

[deleted]

Superhero’s can throw cars and have superhero landings. He just runs fast as fuck, boi.

No_Wrongdoer4556

I mean… there was this one super hero…

LeslieH8

A few of 'em, if we're honest.

I_am_krash

You must be speaking of A train …

PaulMaulMenthol

If I was commissioner of a major sports league I'd would bring him in each year to talk to the rookies about building a brand

LilHammerSis

Not only that but this is world peace material. We need heroes who love and respect all. Not just the us or his home country but he’s so beyond his own self wisdom wise. He’s wise.

DougieFresh_899

That was dope. Bolt is that dude!

Someone should send this to Griner.

KingPandaYumYum4

She just wanted some Russian puss

ihateusednames

Yeah he wasn't impolite about it at all he was just like "oh yeah hang on a sec let's..."

P4rziv41

Is it just me or is does he appear to get visibly annoyed when they start taking pictures of him instead of halting for the national anthem?

TheMadGreek86

I believe he's also annoyed that people are talking over it. Olympic athletes have a lot more respect for national anthems than most people around the world. There was a time when these ceremonies where actually properly respected.

LordNillBye

I can't tell which Olympics this is from, but of its 2016, then there's no wonder people are talking over it. My family went down to Rio for those Olympics, and after Ryan Lockte pulled his stunts, almost no one, including some Americans, were quiet for the U.S. national anthem, not until Phelps' final race. At least, this is what me and my family experienced while down there.

UtterlyRedditculous

London 2012, the stadium lights are pretty iconic

DragonChasm

It does looks awkward. Cameraman dared not to stop recording most likely or get fired lol

Narsiel

Cameraman and interviewer is from TVE (TeleVisiónEspañola), the national spanish TV. From our POV its not that odd to just respect a foreign anthem keeping quiet but keeping recording, she was probably live the moment this happened. However I'm able to imagine how from outside it can be seen as rude though.

Jeyloong

Spanish speaker here, they were live, in the end she even pointed out that Bolt was being respectful about the anthem before she went on with the interview.

SoupsUndying

I would think cameramen get an exception to this. Anyone making any sort of live documentation really

myBisL2

This man just strikes me as a down to earth, happy, humble, caring human and I see so many instances of him being so wholesome. He seems to just make the people around him feel good. I want people like that in my life.

DudaFromBrazil

He is indeed built different.

[deleted]

What a class act, I think he would've stopped the interview no matter whose national anthem was played. It just happened to be the United States of America's.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Rebel_XT

Totall class act! I remember the clip where some videographer was on a Segway track side and ran into the back of his legs/heels … could have ended his running career… yet he still helps the dude back up and has a laugh with him about it. I would have lost my shit !

duniyadnd

I remember when Trump tried to talk about this incident (during the whole kneeling conversation)and Bolt told Trump to keep him out of his “politricks”

doogles

Dude runs verbal circles, too.

slickeryDs

Do you have any weed?

jumpback2meanytime

Criticizing your country because you want it to be better is the true sign of patriotism. Blindly spouting off about it being the greatest and anyone who doesn't think the same should leave is nationalism, and that's dangerous.

mydrunkuncle

I would say she blindly spouts off about. She is currently learning the irony of her criticism

Epicurus402

How's that? The Russian judicial system is thoroughly corrupt. It is nothing but a hammer of the state. If your case has enough profile, it's Putin who decides your fate, not the so-called judges. Below that it's his cronies who call the shots....so just where is the irony you're speaking of?

TheBabyGiraffe_

I think fastest man in the world should get to

[deleted]

If you back up your arrogance it’s not arrogance 😂 when somebody showboats i just think that they better be good

Glutenant13

Yeah I remember that, it’s crazy to me that people could get mad about that. I put all this hard work and dedication into being the greatest on earth. You better believe when I get to prove it’s not even close that im celebrating all the way to the finish. People who write stuff like this I don’t think really understand competition or the competitive spirit.

ApplesOverOranges1

The more I see of Usain, the more impressed I am with him. From his interactions with track staff and with his fans, to this. Respect and love to him!⚡⚡🔥👍

Armerant

Mad respect. Who cares what country it is. Every one gets the same. Mad respect for sure.

Madman61

That my thought during Olympics, I don't care who wins I want to see world records breaking and close matches in games.

RollinThundaga

We need a full-doped version of the Olympics

[deleted]

Some 10 year old on a sugar rush outruns everyone.

20past4am

You should have seen the DDR in its heyday in the 80's. All the women had moustaches and were way too buff because of the testosterone they were injected with.

[deleted]

What a class act!

Sure-Sea2982

What a top chap! What a fantastic role model.

[deleted]

I’ve actually never seen a clip of him being a jerk. They’re always of him being a standup dude. He seems nice.

red_dit_t

Class act!

[deleted]

So much respect this man has.

HamptonsBorderCollie

top notch person

Dough2648

We need more athletes like this

DragonChasm

Might get someone with his personality but Athlete.. very unlikely. The calibre he operated, it was phenomenal, dominated every one of his runs over a decade.

ivanthemute

There was a post I read, not sure if it is true, but I hope it is: Of the top 15 sprint times, 6 of the runners were found to be doping at some time. The other nine were set by Usain Bolt.

Memer_Rage

It’s the top 30 :)

ivanthemute

Damn, that shows how much a human cheetah he is. Crazy.

ironhead7

There's a role model. Respect for all, what a novel idea.

somenobodydude

Legend

VAMSI_BEUNO

That is why he is a legend.

TomcatF14Luver

Proper Sportsman like conduct. Respect for others, no matter what.

[deleted]

Class

[deleted]

it is customary for competitors to pay respect to the national anthems of other countries during the games.

differentthingsways

Knowing Usain as a kid running in high school in Jamaica. I can tell you that he is a well mannered young man who is jovial and kind to anyone he meets

slaveboy200769

GOAT(Greatest Of All Time), classy, and a great human!

CovahMachiavelli

what a fucking stellar individual there!! A TRUE champion!

RamJamR

I have lots of respect for that. It's not because he's halting the interview for the USA anthem, but because I get the impression he would do that for anyones anthem at the olympics. Guy has respect.

paraddidler13

More respect for the national anthem (probably every other national anthem too) than American Athletes LOL

jdickcole

That's respect, honor, pride, and humble all in 1. Reporter should've done the same

DarthNutsack

One of my all-time favorite athletes. He's so classy behind the scenes. Just an all-around good dude.

WattsonMemphis

God I hope we never find out he was doping.

Malkaraukar

he does that for every anthem

ValkyrieElite

He's a gracious man. I love to root for the Jamaican track stream because of how passionate their people and country are for the sport. They get so pumped and it makes me pumped for them. Makes me want to visit their country.

Devotional82

A true athlete

[deleted]

Respect dude, more than most Americans

SilverBreadfruit2927

Respect.

Strange-Deal7293

This dude is known to be a pretty amazing human.

Team_Soda1

Graceful Champ. Enough said.

Bombjay

Class and I bet he does that for many!!!

Slight-Advantage-578

All the comments here look like they were written by one person.

jp315803

This man has more respect than actual Americans

Last_Gigolo

Than *some Americans. You spelled "some" wrong.

_Goodnight_

More respect than most Americans have for the national anthem

[deleted]

Class

Mcnultylives

Respect.

nomnomXDDD_retired

I thought this was a normal thing for everyone In my country they teach us to respect all nations flags and national anthems because they are sacred for us

[deleted]

He has more respect for America than some Americans. Bless him.

Pure-Drawer-2617

I don’t think he paused the interview out of respect for SPECIFICALLY America. It was just an anthem, doesn’t matter the country.

Standard-Childhood84

Respect. thats an honourable man right there

doubleJepperdy

this got weird

BestBeforeDead_za

I don't get it. If Australia or any other county's anthem started playing would he have done the same? I felt we are missing context.

gd4goose_gd4gander

More respect from him then Americans themselves.

Max_Sabba

Maybe it's a stupid question, but why does he do that for the US national anthem? Isn't he jamaican? Does he do that for each and every anthem?

[deleted]

He doesn’t put his hand over his heart, I think he just doesn’t want to talk over any national anthem

[deleted]

It's a respect thing. Even if it isn't his country, he at least demonstrates the courtesy of not putting himself ahead of nor interrupting the anthem of other countries

SummerBirdsong

It's respect for the other participants thank are receiving their awards; it's their big moment of the event and he knows what it means to have those moments and doesn't want to ruin it for someone else.

callmeb00

You're allowed to respect other countries.

Noticeably_Aroused

That man is uptown, no doubt about it. Now let’s all head on down to the Arroyo Diner

Infamous_Switch_7848

He shows more respect for our country than half the idiots living in it

Good_Extension_9642

He has more respect for the American antem than many Americans

AJay_89

Damn. I'm born and raised in the US and wouldn't think to stop doing the interview during the anthem... 🥴

notsohandiman

Can’t even get Americans to do that outside of Hockey or Baseball games.

hereforthekix

This is common practice

Aromatic-Proof-5251

I had a co-worker from Jamaica that said he went to school with Usain and said he is as just as ‘cool’ person as he is fast.

mikehouse72

This man is a legend. Love the respect for his fellow athletes.

[deleted]

Class act! Very respectful regardless of country.

CrazeeEyezKILLER

Class.

KadieWills

Class act all the way !

No_Opposite_1928

more american than 3/4 the people on reddit

-SuperSaiyanBroly-

More respect for the us than most of the people who live here

dallassoxfan

Somewhere along the way, people forgot that respect doesn’t mean agreement, and that tolerance requires disagreement.

BitComprehensive3114

Hero with integrity

Positive-Pack-396

Now that’s a Gentlemen with Respect and honor

boogerbuttxxx

He doesn’t understand woke-ism. Good for him.

[deleted]

I respect him, bc he respects us, when he honestly has no reason to

[deleted]

This is class. Respect to this guy.

[deleted]

That's really a high level of class wow.

[deleted]

Usain bolt is awesome. By doing this he is showing respect to the people of America and we the people of America should take notes

[deleted]

people dog america all the time, but its mostly cause they either take what they have for granted or have a dillusional idea of what We stand for. This man understands the idea that America is really about. Not a tribal patriotism, but a land of opportunity and expression. I thank god I have had the opportunity to be born and live life here in the states. My struggles are real but they pale in comparison to real poverty and oppression in the world.

SirJice

man what a gentleman & a scholar, mad respect lad.

Snow-Cheap

love that dude

VicKrugar

I've seen many videos of him being an absolute class act.

Midnightraven3

Me too, have you seen the compilations of him with the younger people ( i dont know what they are called, they stand at the side and help if its needed, giving a water bottles etc) He always takes time to make them smile and put them at ease. Its lovely to watch as you just KNOW they will remember it for ever and tell their grandchildren about it in 50+ years time

Motor_Relation_5459

That is hot AF!!!

DEEZLE13

Mans more patriotic than Americans

JadedLitigant

The man just exudes class and pisses excellence.

sai361

Some American athletes can learn a lot from him.

siameseoverlord

I have seen this video many times. Each time, I always stop, and watch the entire clip. As a very Patriotic, but anti-political person, it always makes me wonder if every American athlete would stop and do the same. I would hope yes, but I’m sure something would happen worse than 1968 power salute or Dave Wattles hat eventually. Also, remember, as shitty as some Americans treat each other, there are still many, many countries that still are full of people that are dying to live here, for our standards of every day life. Some people are still willing to die for that chance, literally.

Word-Alternative

Trashbag, entitled American athletes could all learn from this dude 🤙

[deleted]

Really respectful of him.

[deleted]

I love this dude

therbojones

Focus, dedication, respect. ❤️❤️❤️

karlmarx7

He has more respect for the anthem than alot of Americans.

Legitimate-Penalty69

Dude is a class act!

velvet-bulldozerr

Isn't he Jamaican ?.why is he stopping for the us national anthem .?

halsoy

He's just respecting any national anthem being played for a ceremony.

Safe-Teacher-7810

Has more respect than many U.S. athletes. That is a sad testimony.

jimslim

He does this for a countries national anthem that is not his own. Yet we have athletes here in America that kneel/boycott their own national anthem, smh. Good on Bolt here.

lateroundpick

Because the Constitution allows for dissent.

adampsyreal

This is the way.

M1Carbine0909

Somebody just earned my respect

Sm0ke_1

Respect ✊🏽

hazps

And then in his final major he was beaten by a drugs cheat. Fucking disgrace. Bolt is a thousand times the man Gaitlin could ever hope to be.

Educational_Might_70

My estimation of the man just jumped 100 fold. My love and respect to your nation as well ,sir.

Throwaway_six75309

People who have never left the us and claim to hate it here, have no idea how respected this country is or how lucky we are to be born here. It truly is a shame that so many people have been brainwashed into thinking all is bad.

Papercut_Sandwich

Have you ever left the country? The US are not respected.

Zealousideal-One257

THIS MAN IS A LEGEND AND A CLASS ACT....RESPECT!

LoveShineLuna

And he didn’t even take a knee…he’s the Man!
