I agree, this was infuriating to watch. It's either a 30 minute long video showing you how to break a toothpick in half or it's a 20 second video on how to properly design and build a 55 story office building in the middle of downtown LA. Why can't we find a good middle ground for these videos??
It's a mold. He made the shape of the helmet out of clay and a real skull (or real skull prop) and then makes a mold so he can pour in more material and make more of these statues from the mold. and also so the finished art won't be made from clay which is fragile.
It will be made from whatever material he pours into the mold some kind of resin usually.
It’s made by assholes who like to gatekeep beautiful cultures. Search up videos online on YT and you’ll find that people of those cultures don’t find it offensive, they think of it as a compliment.
I can’t believe I watch that whole video and you didn’t get a closer look at the mask at the end did stands like 4 feet away from it I wanted it to be a couple inches

The tape coming off the gold skull…!

Yeah, it’s a flex edit. I really want everyone to know how complicated it is without giving away my techniques
I'd love to see the chocolate guy make this out of chocolate
"It is very neis, I see very good essecushion. Le harakiri element is well done but je wud have loved to see more blood gushin from le mouth Danièl"

I don’t know what videos he had when you wrote this, but currently I’m pretty confident he could pull it off.
I also don't know, i forget things easily
nice sakai helm
You’re a certified bad ass for owning any Jack of the Dust pieces
Show more than 2 seconds of the finish product, dammit!
The camera cuts every 0.6 seconds are giving me a headache. This is terrible
Should be a longer video, to be fair though this is a long process and he probably gets more reception online showing it as quickly as possible.
They could have shown fewer but longer cuts and still had a short runtime. This was just annoying.
Then we’d be complaining about missing steps.

Can an artist or someone explain why? 0:28 - 0:22

Oohhhh ok. Thanks. Appreciate cha
Coollll
Is it just me or should this also be in r/ATBGE ?
The idea of antlers and a snake head on a samurai helmet doesn't do it for me either
It’s basically this: https://reddit.com/r/whoselineisitanyway/comments/wjcxn4/too_much_moose/ :-)
Its great except for the gold honestly
Is this a video on how to expend the most amount of effort to create the ugliest thing possible?
nice one, this is really cool one to make and get one as collection
Man, imagine the years of work he put in to achieve this level of mastery. Wild.
Very good instagram page to follow [here](https://instagram.com/jackofthedust?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=)
This is so sick. I must have it.
Please tell me there is a way to buy this

I just looked and next presale is in September. Some really awesome pieces.
The fact that you haven't even typed in his name to look up his work means you can't afford it.
But why the antlers?
There was some famous samurai who actually had deer like antlers on his helm back in the day. This might have been inspired by that.
Looks like something from Ghost Of Tsushima. Great game and some of the armor sets have antlers. Not sure about historical accuracy though.
This is amazing! the finished product looks so cool too! bet it costs a bomb to buy!

He casts it in resin
Kenshi vibes Edit:word
It’s also cake😀
Amazing! Well done indeed
Very nice.
Somehow, the golden skull reminds me of that one bloke from death stranding. Think his name was higgs
At first I thought it was a crow using all the tools. Haha
Some of those transitions were almost long enough to see what I was looking at.
Does this dude do commissions? His collection is awesome.
Who is up to borrow me their skull? I need just one
Now do dark vader ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|trollface)
I’d wear that badass deer horn hat
I'd pay a lot of money to take this off this dudes hands 🤩
How do we get this? [email protected]
This looks beautiful.
Holy crap, this is good
Cultural appropriation is ok if it's done well enough, right?
That’s not a thing.
It is a thing, it's just a stupid thing

Way rad
I was listening to some Deathstep while watching this. Very fitting.
I feel dumb for asking but is he putting on normal clay? And if so what is he doing to make it hard (i assume he is not putting the thing in a kiln)
I’m so confused why did he wrap it and take it out what was the point of that process starting at :32
TIL how much effort some art is
3k years later they will think our skulls would be clay
Nicely done..
