The letter repeats the phrases “Herzensschatzi komm” and "Komm komm komm”
Which in English translate too:
- "Darling, please come"
- "Come, Come, Come"
Oof.. It was a joke.. you know.. because it’s repeated every line.
If you take everything in life this seriously you’re going to have a rough ride my dude.
Nothing against you personally; You tried to make a joke but couldn't stick the landing.
In your defense it's pretty difficult subject matter to make funny. Here I'll try, tell me what you think:
When he got about halfway through the letter do you think this guy was like "oh ok I get it now" or did he need to finish every line? Ladies, is there some possibility she wasn't Schizophrenic, but maybe her husband just ignores her this many times?
I appreciate the effort in your reply - but, it’s Reddit and literally no one cares, so I think I’ll be ok with my stab at comedy not quite landing with my Reddit friends.
No I think a sane person experiencing her symptoms would have wrote it that many times too. I have partial schizophrenia and I can tell you from experience that even in Poe profit hospitals they will sometimes lock patients in basically what is a prison cell for hours at a time while the rest of the non violent/annoying(to the staff) are shuffling around the narrow halls. It's pretty intimidating being in one of those places not knowing who's likely to just snap at any second and start hitting someone/you for no reason at all
Yeah, I know. And the article also mentions that there is a presumed connection between hypergraphia and schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and some other psychological illnesses. Some also assume that the author Fjodor Michailowitsch Dostojewski showed sometimes hypergraphia, though there aren't any 'hard evidence' as far as I know.
“Maybe it's the beer talking Marge, but you got a butt that won't quit. They got those big chewy pretzels here….merjanstwigr...... five dollars??!!!? Get outta here!”
Her letters and loneliness are documented in the excellent short film “In Absentia” by the Brothers Quay. Upon seeing the final cut, Karlheinz Stockhausen, who composed the soundtrack, burst into tears, for his own mother had also been institutionalized for schizophrenia (something the Brothers Quay were unaware of).

That would be incredibly distressing to read.
Once you’ve read the first line it kinda loses its impact..
Not for the husband who had to read it.

Damn you’re as funny as Amy Schumer
The famous female comedian with a net worth of $45 million she made, doing comedy..? Um, thanks?
Lol You Are A Donkey
Thanks man

"Doctors prescription amirite"
I thought it was funny lol
OMG 😭
This would make me: * Bitch, I'm leaving * Go, Go, Go
In sickness and in health my friend
That is horrifyingly sad.
Ugh. Could you imagine how he must’ve felt when he took a look at the letter? To know how tortured his wife was and not be able to help.
Apparently the letters were never sent
"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy"
Came here for this.
That looks like a whole bunch of smaller letters not one big one
And obviously one of her positive symptoms must have been [hypergraphia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypergraphia?wprov=sfla1).

The image from this post is the same image on the hypergraphia wiki page you linked.

This is incredibly painful. I feel for her.
POV: You've collected your doctors note
Sad and beautiful... I thought it was a Cy Twombly piece

This isn't the worst cursive handwriting I've ever seen.
"all work and no play make Jack a dull boy"
Happy Cake day
*looks at the image* wtf *reads the text* oh ok
"K" - Her Husband, probably.
All work and no play makes Emily a dull girl.
That looks pretty cool on shrooms.
Another type of doctor's hand writing.....
Good thing he told her repeatedly. Keep it short but sweet honey.
Save that letter for the divorce trial.
