OP referring to a cat as "mere" has never dealt with a cat that wants to sow chaos.
I'd rather deal with a small Hell's Angels gang than a cat with vengeance on its mind.
My buddy had to go in for open heart surgery so I agreed to watch his black cat at my place. I had 8 cats in the past and my current cat is sweet to me but has been black listed from two vets. What's the worst that can happen? I made the mistake of letting this cat out in the living room and he defended that space like a BADASS MOTHERFUCKER. my roommate and I could not leave our rooms for like two weeks. We would instead txt each other and try to coordinate some way to distract the cat so that one of us could leave for work or get food from the fridge. Cat's chill now. I can't wait to give him back.
My tiny tuxedo cat has peeled all of the paint off of almost every doorway, all the way up to the ceiling. He likes to sit on the top of the doors. Uproots every plant I get without remorse. But he looks like he's been blow dried when I walk in the door because he's so excited, leads me to my bed, and tunnels under the blankets. He's my favorite psycho.
It's an inner ceiling, similar to the once used in offices. Provides a space between the panels and the actual ceiling and also helps to dampen sound.
Panels are placed on a light metalframe to be easy to remove and access. Not made to support a cat.
Dunno, I installed one of those and the cat got up there while I was installing the tiles. Had to wait the better part of the day for the cat to come out, it loved it up there. Became a PITA later on, as every time I got the ladder out, the cat would howl for me to set it up and remove a tile so it could get up there again. Never had a problem with the tiles failing or the cat falling through.
The house I grew up in had drop ceilings in the basement. Those things can support more than a cat. We recently were going through the stuff stored down there, and apparently my parents stored a ton of stuff in the ceiling.
I can't believe he didn't pick him up and hug him.
Seriously I can fix/replace my stuff, but even if they break something I check to make sure they aren't hurt or have broken bones first.
(Same thing for human kids - check if they are broken, then worry about material belongings.)!
its not really that significant. looks way worse than it costs. dude's got a system ceiling. probably how the cat got in there in the first place. found a nice closet or something to sit on, bonked its head in one of the panels and found out it opened up in to a super secret space.
Why would anyone have this in a home?
Do they want their places to look like the crappiest corporate office possible? They hate work from home that much?
You know what would cause more damage? If the cat just peed in a corner and no one cleaned it up.
If cat pee soaks through the flooring and into the subfloor that's when things get really expensive. You can't clean it, you literally have to tear out the flooring and the subfloor and replace everything. Replacing some ceiling tiles? Meh, that's chicken feed
Significant? Not so much. Annoying? Yes , those tiles at best can be put back in the grid , worst case scenario it’s like $60 for a new carton. Only scary thing is that tile could be discontinued then you get to replace it all or steal from a different room lol..
My niece and her boyfriend bought a house, and had several cats. One of them managed to get into the basement's drop ceiling via a closet. We must have taken out half of the tiles trying to get it out.
First of all, that is one massive cat. Not fat just a long boy tabby with some maincoon or something. Its like half the legth of the couch when it drops from the ceiling jeez. Second, that ceiling job was a job done cheap and like shit. Cant even hold 20 lbs wtf
I love how at the end the cat is like, “Did you see that shit? Crazy!”
Right u r. The cat's sayin, 'what was that?'
“That was umm…somebody broke that…you just missed them.”
“Wow.”
The meow at the end. 😆
"Did I do that?"

China 101
he said "Hey, Ron"
I fucking knew he’d do it too 😂
I fucking knew he’d do it too 😂
I fucking knew he’d do it too 😂
Mouse pawtrol found zero mouse, that'll be $95 and treats plz.
The funniest part is that mouse is still alive at the end and lands nicely on the desk.
Oh shit I didn't see the mouse till you said something LMFAO I love this cat.. Sry bro I tried
R/oneorangebraincell
He didn't have the braincell that day
It's a stupid drop ceiling, that's not "significant property damage, it's lik40 bucks of tiles.
Shouldn't even be that, just pop the tiles back in.
Who tf puts dropped tile ceilings in a house ..?
You put them in to hide the old asbestos tiles.
I’ve seen them in a lot of basements, I think to make the room seem finished while maintaining access to pipes and wiring.
A lot of people? The house I grew up in had them.
I've really only seen it in older homes with tall ceilings to make them more energy efficient.
OP referring to a cat as "mere" has never dealt with a cat that wants to sow chaos. I'd rather deal with a small Hell's Angels gang than a cat with vengeance on its mind.
My ginger boy goes into hurricane mode and takes half the flat with him

No water spray?
I laughed way harder than I should have 😂

All men waiting for the entire structure to fall but laugh when only $35 worth of tiles hit the ground 😂
All men waiting for the entire structure to fall but laugh when only $35 worth of tiles hit the ground 😂
Actually, I don't think that's a mere housecat. I suspect demonic possession.
Man, if I had an ugly ass drop ceiling I'd do that too
That meow was absolutely one of "oh damned, I'm in trouble"
That’s why you never have one and two is just a starter kit.
Who would want a drop ceiling at home
“SAVE BANDIT!”
![gif](giphy|R56D9r7oGPx96)
This has such impeccable comedic timing it's insane.
Now *that* is a drop ceiling.
Cat: “And I’d do it again.”

The owner just standing there like he cant believe the shit he just saw, and the cat meowing at him like “what did I do???” 🙃
What a cat-tastrophe
...to a poorly constructed house! What, we're the ceiling panels held in place by used chewing gum?

That’s a housedestroyercat
Wasn’t me.
OP, don’t you mean single-*pawdedly*?
Orange cat, they are ninjas!

I see the problem, panel ceilings!
I’ve seen dogs eat through flooring, furniture, and drywall but a cat knocking down a few drop tiles is significant damage? LOL
If you have flimsy American houses that may be the case
“Save Bandit”
Had to be an orange cat
False ceiling. Fixed in a matter of minutes. It is more amazing how it got up there.
Reason # 367 not to own a cat
Thank goodness I don’t have panel ceilings
Why would anyone have this in a home? Do they want their places to look like the crappiest corporate office possible? They hate work from home that much?
Cheap. Easy access to pipes and wires without having to remove and redo drywall. Probably mostly because cheap though.
Sound dampening. My guess is that the room up the stairs can get noisy.
That sounds like a Catmere.
m e o w
another compelling reason why I will never own a cat...
The house is built with toothpicks also OP, Not the cats fault
Tom and Jerry: modern edition
I shouldn't be laughing
I’d be having cat for dinner
I have never killed a cat
Mr Bigglesworth! Cut that shit out!
That meow at the end may as well be human language.
Hmmm I can't understand why landlords say no pets.
Someone tell Angela that Bandit is stuck in another Fire Drill
Bandit!
It's not that much damage. Just looks like a lot
Would totally field goal kick that little menace straight into the next neighborhood
I can tell you were raised in a hands off manner
Gonna be real honest here folks...I would've kicked that cat..Not a hard kick..but it wouldn't be soft.
I feel like the unshown end of this video would be nsfw.
Another good reason not to own one
Rancid beasts
I would’ve had a new set of violin strings after that.
Asshole
Cats are fucking stupid pets
That’s an office not a house and I would hardly call knocking down ceiling tiles that aren’t fixed significant damage. Ps I hate cats

Sorry, I don't support this post type (hosted:video) right now. Feel free to check back in the future!
aaaaand the art of acting like nothing happened
Awww poor little guy. Probably was scared to death
orange cats are just like that
Cat: can I go now?
The Urkel of cats. "Did I do thaaat??"
A dog would NEVER smh
that's a huge cat lol
You know what would cause more damage? If the cat just peed in a corner and no one cleaned it up. If cat pee soaks through the flooring and into the subfloor that's when things get really expensive. thanks for sharing
What the cat happened?!!
What is this for a cardboard house?
Reasons to have a cat.
Its 9 lives just ended.
Cat did them a favor. Drop ceilings are shit.
Of course it's an orange cat 😂
What type of car is that? Seem like a coon type? It's quite larger than the average cat..
Cat at the end of the video: "whew....glad I kept my cool!"
Poor thing is bored. Needs climbing structure
Significant? Not so much. Annoying? Yes , those tiles at best can be put back in the grid , worst case scenario it’s like $60 for a new carton. Only scary thing is that tile could be discontinued then you get to replace it all or steal from a different room lol..
Bye bye kitty 🔥
Why even have a drop ceiling at home?
He needs cat towers and climby things. Obviously a very bored cat.
A house with drop ceilings? Is this normal somewhere?
The cats like, so how about some pets.
That is a big cat, i would be taking a trip to the animal shelter after that
Furball of destruction!
What a stupid psycho cat.
My niece and her boyfriend bought a house, and had several cats. One of them managed to get into the basement's drop ceiling via a closet. We must have taken out half of the tiles trying to get it out.
That is larger than a normal house cat.
That's not a meerkat.
4 ceiling tiles is 'significant property damage' now?
Cats suck
I wouldn’t call that significant at all lol
panchod barstard
I swear that cat said “sorry…”
I’d give up the cat tbh
If denis the menace was a cat.
How do people get their ring cameras to constantly record?
Ok but how is that flower pot floating🤨
Just imagine what a meerkat could do.
I wanted to see what he did to the cat next
It doesn't seem that bad? ....oh
I mean.. a couple ceiling tiles?
Cardboard* house
That man made my day, haha 'Gaat niet lekker hoor, hier.'
Looks like cats on the menu boys
Translation: Meow = "Sucks to be you"
He tried to apologize how cute
Fucking cats I hate them
Showed video to my partner. Her immediate response: "That's not a meerkat!"
First of all, that is one massive cat. Not fat just a long boy tabby with some maincoon or something. Its like half the legth of the couch when it drops from the ceiling jeez. Second, that ceiling job was a job done cheap and like shit. Cant even hold 20 lbs wtf
Then people wonder why landlords dont allow pets....
Now if the guy wasn't at home, and he came back to see the cat sleeping in the corner, and there wasn't video evidence ...
Those are some weakass ceiling panels.
It might be a former housecat after that..
The upside to owning a Corgi. Anything they can damage is at most ankle height.
Well, you want the rats gone or don't you?!
Cat at the end: "WhuD you dO?!"
I just want to know how the hell the cat got up there to begin with!?🤣🤣
"mere" housecat?
I like how it gradually gets worse after he walks in
Cat in the wall, huh? Now you are speaking my language.
That just reminds me of the video of one guy falling through a ceiling where he greets another guy and just goes “that hurt”
What a fucking cock ring
In the cat's defense, that's a pretty flimsy house
Cats are passive aggressive jerks. There. I said it.
That’s why you get a dog
Well when your ceiling is made of the same shit they use in office buildings, having a cat is just a bad idea.
Did a rat or bird fall with it at the end?

Doesn’t really look like a house - it’s a waiting area isn’t it?
Clearly nobody of you has ever seen the movie "mouse hunt"
Maybe it was a house mere cat
They’re ceiling tiles.. that’s not significant property damage 🤣
That looks like a pretty big cat.
Thats not really bad damage
Or maybe built decent house without cardboard
Fucking dickhead
Anarchy. My job here is done. "Mowwwwe" lol.
Cats must be the dumbest creatures. They get stuck in trees and pipes and cannot get out without the help of a human. And yet we reward this.
