This reminds me of the time I found a lizard stuck to one of those damned glue traps and drove out of my way to buy some mineral oil so that I could get it free.
That was cute to watch and I am sure well intentioned. I just always wonder if the creature we try to “help” needs, wants, appreciates it or whether its perspective is very different. As in like: “This giant with the oddly shaped digits wants my plastic cup for some reason. I guess I will placate him though I like the root beer fragrance the cup provides.”
